Yep. Tim knows a lot of people in the music industry, and he and Geoff are good friends. Tim asked Geoff, originally for help, then for Geoff to arrange it, and he killed it. You can hear the influence, and if you replace HF with VP, they'd fit right in
I've loved this video ever since I saw it a couple years ago! Richard Sterban has always been my favorite bass, and Tim is now a very close second. And the part where Rob is comparing his beard to William Lee's always makes me giggle. Lol
Brad Steele - If/when you listen to this again, notice how the bass line sung by Richard Stubin after the "Um pa pa mow mows" moves in the opposite direction of the tenor line. Also, note that not only do they go into that half time portion of the song, but they also do a half step up key change at the same time. Love it when bands/singers incorporate key changes to enhance their songs - wish it was done more often. . .
True that about the music leaving you feeling good after you've listened to it. That's what it's all about and that's why I like to listen to Home Free.
I so love your reactions...you give such great comments because you actually know the music! One of my favorites too...but then I guess all their videos have become my favorites! The Oaks...well they never disappoint either...I just saw them last Nov at Branson...and they were just as great as they ever were....and they are now all in their 70's! Thanks for another great reaction!
I will probably get slammed after saying this, but I was never crazy for the original song! After this collab, I love this one! These two groups are so much alike in that they stand the test of time, and I certainly believe that Home Free will be like ORB in the future! This is definitely one of those “feel good” songs, and the arrangement was so good!!! Loved your reaction!!
It was always just a fun song. When they were doing it live, every time Richard hit the super low notes every female in the audience would scream. He was quite the hottie in his younger days.
Brad...if you REALLY want to see the beatboxer (Adam) at his finest, listen to one of his drum solos. They (he) will amaze you! Thanks for the reaction!
A reaction to Adam's solo would be great - but it would really be worth looking for a recent one. I mean, he was good back in 2015, but he's even better now.
At the end of every Home Free reaction, you say 'this is my favourite Home Free song...' Now it's time for Peter Hollens ft Tim Foust Misty Mountain. You will love it!
Another great reaction, thank you. Home Free make great music, but the thing that really drew me in and turned to me into a fan is the obvious joy they have in making it. Both groups obviously have such respect and admiration for each other, and that's so good to see.
What you may not know is that this was The Oak Ridge Boys song many years ago... they made it very very popular and this is what they're known for ...that's why Home Free joined with them
I just found your channel. You've got a really good voice. Subbed. Home Free's collaboration with Kenny Rogers on "Children Go Where I Send Thee" is also stellar. Likewise, Pentatonics and Dolly Parton on "Jolene". Like you said, they fit right in.
Would love to see your reaction to Home Free's Seven Bridges Road.. totally love that one!! Honestly, just keep reacting to Home Free, Voctave, and Pentatonix and you'll have views lol
I have a live recording of this the guys (sans The Oak Ridge Boys, whom I’d love to see live!!!) posted here on UA-cam... if you ever get to see these guys live, TAKE IT. They’re just as perfect in-person as they are recorded. #HomeFryForLife
You should check out Peter Hollens. He has done some songs with Tim Foust like Misty Mountains. Peter Hollens: * Toss a coin to your witcher (from The Witcher) * I see fire (The hobbit) * Epic Disney villains medley ft Whitney Avalon * Spooky halloween mashup ft Bailey Pelkman You won´t be disapointed! Sorry for my English, not my first language. Love from Sweden :)
Titans? I used to root for them, but I can't anymore because I'm a Mariota fan (he went to the same high school as me in Honolulu)... pro sports is so brutal... regarding 'Elvira', this is my favorite of Home Free as well... I like how they respect the original (song and artist!)....
You really need to learn their names, if you are going to call yourself a Home fry lol ;) love your reactions. You should find one of Adams drumsolos.. they are awesome! :D
You wanna hear great beatboxing? Check out Adam's drum solo. Wanna hear some great runs? Tim foust- can't help falling in love. Finally wanna hear some great low notes, and some beautiful acapella? Misty mountains Peter Hollins, ft Tim foust
If you like beatboxing you should check out "Gaslighting" by BigMan. He's a korean beatboxer who is also a good singer. He makes vocal magic! As an after though another great acapella group that I've recently become a fan of is VB Exit, Their frozen 2 medley is great.
What a thrill it must have been for the guys to sing with the legendary Oak Ridge Boys. Have you checked out Pentatonix and Dolly? ua-cam.com/video/oYCoyUxY2HY/v-deo.html
Great reactions! I have one request of you. Bonnie Raitt, I Can't Make You Love Me. I've been waiting for this a long time. Please be the one to do this!
If you liked this, you should really listen to Adam Rupp's (the beatboxer) Drum Solo, yes...Drum Solo. You will from that moment on, compare all others to Adam.
Fun fact! This arrangement was done by the VoicePlay bass, Geoff Castellucci!
Nice man! Did not know that. Thank you for this!
Wait, seriously? Damn..that's an awesome fact!
Yep. Tim knows a lot of people in the music industry, and he and Geoff are good friends. Tim asked Geoff, originally for help, then for Geoff to arrange it, and he killed it. You can hear the influence, and if you replace HF with VP, they'd fit right in
Wow, I had no idea. That's so awesome.
@@erycdamaso_613 The guys are friends with BOTH GEOFF and Avi and the rest of VoicePlay and PTX
Oak Ridge Boys are simply long standing legends!!
A great duet between the two awesome bands!!!!
Odd factoid, the Oak Ridge Boys were the ones who reached out to Home Free about doing this collaboration. Very well done, indeed!
Really?! That's awesome. What an honor.
Same thing with Kenny Rogers. He reached out to them for "Children Go Where I Send Thee".
I've loved this video ever since I saw it a couple years ago! Richard Sterban has always been my favorite bass, and Tim is now a very close second. And the part where Rob is comparing his beard to William Lee's always makes me giggle. Lol
I loved the Oakridge Boys growing up and to see them interact with Home Free was awesome.
Richard Sterban is one of my favorite bass singers ever. FUN FACT: He sang backup for Elvis!
The Oak Ridge Boys said they were passing the baton to Home Free. True or not, it’s appropriate. Love it love it love it!
Brad Steele - If/when you listen to this again, notice how the bass line sung by Richard Stubin after the "Um pa pa mow mows" moves in the opposite direction of the tenor line. Adam is kickin it hard! He's a freak of nature and I love it! This entire video is complete 🔥!
True that about the music leaving you feeling good after you've listened to it. That's what it's all about and that's why I like to listen to Home Free.

Oak ridge Boys schooled H F! Great collaberation! They have become mentors to HF! They’ve toured together! Great R!
i have so much praise for Home Free paying tribute to the Oak Ridge Boys in this video
Adam's beat boxing was supreme in this one.
That intro always gets me, Brad. 😂 (Your reaction intro, I mean, lol)
I will probably get slammed after saying this, but I was never crazy for the original song! After this collab, I love this one! This is definitely one of those “feel good” songs, and the arrangement was so good!!! Loved your reaction!!
I pretty much agree with that sentiment. Watching this video I keep asking myself, "When the hell did I become a country music fan?!!"
It was always just a fun song. When they were doing it live, every time Richard hit the super low notes every female in the audience would scream. He was quite the hottie in his younger days.
I love the battle of the basses.
Always been one of my very favorite songs...just can't sit still...and they all looked like they were having SO much fun!
The Oak Ridge Boys still got it! 🔥❤️
HOME FREE did this song at a concert I went to and they made it SO fun
You will love their Country Fried Pop Medley!
Another great reaction, thank you. Home Free make great music, but the thing that really drew me in and turned to me into a fan is the obvious joy they have in making it. Both groups obviously have such respect and admiration for each other, and that's so good to see.
I agree!! This is my all-time favorite song they do!!! Love love love!
Love your reaction. Glad you are now a Home Fry.
This one is on repeat. So much fun!
This was awesome! Love your content dude. Since you're an official Home Fry, you should listen to the Hillbilly Bone cover by Home Free

What you may not know is that this was The Oak Ridge Boys song many years ago... they made it very very popular and this is what they're known for ...that's why Home Free joined with them
#TitanUp!!! Love your shirt and reaction to this collab. Sooooo happy to watch your videos! Titan Nation!!!
What's amazing about the song to me how they took a song like Elvira and just put so much life into it
I just found your channel. You've got a really good voice. Subbed.
Home Free's collaboration with Kenny Rogers on "Children Go Where I Send Thee" is also stellar. Likewise, Pentatonics and Dolly Parton on "Jolene". Like you said, they fit right in.
They still sing this when they get together! I love it. Thanks! ^_^
I’m trying to listen to your HF reactions in order. The funny thing is that you typically say, this one is my favorite!! I feel the same way.
My friend you have earned another sub 👍
You should react to “Moana Medley” By Voiceplay👍👍

Waiting for this one, giddy up!
Home Free and The Oaks did a concert together like last year.
For versatility check out Tim's lead in their rendition of Mayday, what a vocal range he has.
RIDICULOUS vocal range. The guy's a force of nature
You expected the low note, but still, when Tim dropped it, your face
I have a live recording of this the guys (sans The Oak Ridge Boys, whom I’d love to see live!!!) posted here on UA-cam... if you ever get to see these guys live, TAKE IT. They’re just as perfect in-person as they are recorded. #HomeFryForLife
When this video came out it almost felt like a passing of the torch.
Okay, I have to be honest, I clicked because I was wondering what kind of song was dedicated to Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
Adam holds the title of the Best beatboxer in the World
My favorite too
You should check out Peter Hollens. He has done some songs with Tim Foust like Misty Mountains.
Peter Hollens:

One of the best
Titans? I used to root for them, but I can't anymore because I'm a Mariota fan (he went to the same high school as me in Honolulu)... pro sports is so brutal... regarding 'Elvira', this is my favorite of Home Free as well... I like how they respect the original (song and artist!)....
Man, you have to react to Acapop!Kids. A kids group created by Scott Hoying (Pentatonix).

One o the oak ridge boys has just died .r.i.p.
He was none of these 4. He was an earlier member from before some of these guys even joined the group in the early 70s.
meeting_meghan oh thanks for that ,thought I didn’t recognise him ,but still very sad
Were they having fun or what? Adam Rupp IS a human drum kit.
