It's nice, but after-sales support sucks. They didn't send all the information to customs, so I had to pay a lot of tax and extra cost to DHL, plus the bag came with a defect and if I return it I will lose the tax and the DHL + I've to pay the shipping bag. I asked for some compensation and they just played stupid giving evasive replies. I don't recommend it to anyone. They are not a serious company
Can't really say that's the experience I've had. The products I've received were top notch 99% of the time. Though communication can take a while, I've received replacement parts free of charge (only needed once though). Customs and shipping, when handled by DHL, can sometimes be to high because DHL uses the wrong values (for example shipping fee) to calculate customs. But that can usually be objected afterward and customs will return what was payed too much. Your order having a defect is of course not good, that should have been caught by QA. However when ordering from a company outside of your own country/economic zone, customs is almost always going to be your loss, not sure why TM should be at fault 😕 With you though, that in case of returning a defective product, shipping should be covered.
UK BYERS BEWARE! I purchased a set of the new 'expedition saddlebags' at a cost of £339. I was hit with a customs charge of£ 107!! (This is not trip machine's fault - BUT SOMETHING TO BE AWARE OF). The bags arrived 'imperfect' and also would not fit my bike (fitment not trip machine's fault). No problem- I'm entitled to a return and refund. NO! TRIP MACHINE FEFUSED TO REFUND ME! Tried to fob me off with a replacement (which I did not want). Stated (as in their returns policy) that I would have to pay for the return postage - fair enough I thought. Problem is......return postage to India (parcel force price) is £200!! (Hard to believe, but true!) Trip machine were NOT HELPFUL AT ALL and I would NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. BEWARE - the chance of a refund is practically zero and the price of return postage makes it totally impractical.
