    I am a huge robotics and animatronics lover. To see and understand how the masks were made for the showbiz cast is quite interesting. It's also cool to know you have worked with Aaron. Anyway, I hope you have a good day, and keep up the good work.

    Very interesting, I've always wondered why Fatz lost some teeth over the years, but figured it was done purposely in a version change or something. I'm so glad Aaron saved the masters. That is a beautifuly detailed Beach Bear.

  • @GreenScienceBoy

    Do you know if Aaron can sell/produce the earlier variations of the masks? Or are those master molds completely gone? Mainly the very first Fatz mask version.

  • @electricwombat5967

    Very interesting! I used to always wonder how they made so many molds and how they prevented the masks from shrinking when they made copies. Now I know! Also, it’s amazing Beach Bear only has one mask version. When he has all the detail back you can really tell.

    I just came into a mitzi mozzarella mask that was never taken off of the mold. It is actually fused to the mold. What am I supposed to do? Funnily enough, the latex mask was painted when it was already on the mold and it just seems like no one ever bothered to take it off.
    It's in fabulous condition!!!! But it's fused to the mold.... Any advice?

    Nice catch on the masks! Good to see all the details returning and I can’t wait to see the Mitzi mask.
    Don’t know if you may know the answer to this question, but one Master I’ve been wondering if Aaron still owns is the 2nd version of Looney Bird with the small beak. Any idea if that Master still exists?

      @@40GamesAG Also, Aaron had no part in the destruction of the molds, he is very good about keeping everything that could possibly be used in the future. It is because of him that we even still have molds (and masters). At one time someone went to throw molds out and Aaron saved them and brought them back into the building. People don’t understand that since Aaron is the founder of CEI, like the founder of another company, the work to produce things is delegated out to other people. Someone is in charge of mask masking, another in charge of welding. Aaron did not make masks until the early 2000s. Someone else was in charge of the molds and masks up until that point. When Aaron started making them, he was left with was whatever the previous person had decided to keep. Aaron has never destroyed or thrown out a mold.

    • @40GamesAG
      @40GamesAG 3 роки тому +4

      @@animatronicswarehouse Thank goodness the other molds weren’t thrown out, yikes 😨 In a way I can understand why the previous person in charge of that department discarded some of the molds from a business perspective, there’s no way they would’ve imagined that those masks would have use again in the future.

    • @animatronicswarehouse
      @animatronicswarehouse  3 роки тому +4

    How do I make a plaster master mold for masks

    • @AnimatronicsProductions1.9.9.3
      @AnimatronicsProductions1.9.9.3 Рік тому

      To start, you make a clay sculpture of what you want to mold. Once that's done, the plaster comes in. You cover the clay sculpture with the plaster, then once the plaster is hard, scrape out the clay. (You shouldn't need the clay anymore). Then, you use a paint brush, and brush on latex into the mold (in layers) and let it dry throughout each layer. Once the mask is at your desired thickness, and the latex is fully dry, carefully pull out of the mold, and done! (That's what I do).
