- Rebuilding a 1904 Mid-Wifery house Porch as a 'Side Hustle' took me 6 plus months of work, and now it's almost done! I had some help. It was a Crazy amount of work.

Looks great Mark. I love old houses, they are just built so much better then the houses today. Mine was built in 1964 and while like yours there are things that need fixing, it is still do-able and you still have a solid house.

Your houses are built like crates. Seriously, why don't you use steel, concrete and bricks? It is RPG proof!

Yes, interesting point. Building with steel and concrete would be rot and pest proof. 120 years ago here in Portland Oregon timber was cheap , abundant, and flexible to resist earthquakes. When early 1900's wood homes are restored they are absolutely gorgeous. All of our prisons are made from concrete and steel.
