    Hi Elizabeth how did the hand warmers work out for you? They worked well for me on my car camping trip this last October. Just don't put them next to your skin.

      I like them! They warm up really well and last a very long time. You can keep them from getting used up by putting in a ziplock (they react with air so once they use the air up in the ziplock, they cool until exposed to air again.

    Glad the rice cooker, thermos is working for you having hot meals on the road. I used the internet at the Starbucks in the fast food shopping center next to the Pilot truck stop where CA-58 meets I-15 in Barstow.
    Was the rest area on CA-58 EB direction near Boron where the restroom is in the middle with trucks on north (highway) side, with cars on the south (ag fields) side? When I stopped there a few years ago I was thinking that one would be quieter sleeping in your car/ minivan than others where the autos are on the freeway side. I think I arrived there at dusk & it was dark enough for the lights on before I left.

      Yep, that’s it! Yes I liked how the trucks and cars were so far apart, made it much nicer
