You should always put the orange on then tip of the barrel!
Due to the colour scheme of more silver to bronze/copper/gold I would say t looks more to be a diesel-punk gun

Steam punk build. I have a Nerf gun very small kinda. It has a small Barrow to small like a darenger type. No screws just glued im thinking. It did have a rod that pulls out and it goes pop. But i cut that off, i kinda wish i shouldn't have now! But to late i bought some hexs screws and very small screws. I took plastics sheets . To cut in small sizes then add the screws to it like some kinda plating. The thing that im trying to do hear is convert from looking like just plastic to real like. For now im holding off for now! But when im done its going to good. But now i jus5 stop until that right part comes along.

need to have clear coat after rub and buff? will it be rubbed off by hand when using?

I'm going to Steampunk my Nerf Nightfire (The yellow one with the laser), but, I will KEEP the logos and caution labels as well as the orange barrel, mostly for “Legal Reasons" and because I want to take it on Holiday and if it doesn't have the orange barrel then they probably won't get to go on Holiday

Does the gun still work?
yes. It helps to mask off the trigger while painting to prevent the paint from gumming it up.

JAKE JAKE JAKE JAKE JAKE I'm a special effects makeup artist/film maker/prop maker/stressed out fourteen year old with a WIP script and no idea how to make the props I need. Basically, I need a hand that has scissors, a long needle, and a thread spool as the middle, ring, and pinky finger (not in any corresponding order there). Could you try to find away to incorporate something like that into a prop in the near future? I'll be eternally grateful and make you brownies, or something in return.

+Abi Maine Why don't you just build hollow attachments that fit over each finger? Like, hollow out a spoil, or make a larger spoil and thread out of rolled up paper or cardstock? You could probably knock that out with some freehand pepekura sculpture.

+Abi Maine same way. make them like regular scissors but with a space in the handle wide enough to hide a finger in. if you need them to open and close then you might have to attach fishing line to the other handle and a normal finger
So, I've seen TONS of Nerf Gun steampunk tutorial videos and all of them have used Rub 'n Buff, but I've heard that Rub 'n Buff isn't that great to use. I've been told that it comes off really easily in your hands and doesn't stay on your gun. Now this is only what I've heard, I'm not dissing anyone, I'm just saying what I've heard from others that have actually customized guns. I'm sorry if I've bothered or annoyed anyone, I just want to make this known.
