Thanks for your review Andrew! Please note this review was conducted on firmware V1.0. ToolkitRC are always listening to feedback and working to improve firmware and the WM150 is now up to Firmware 1.13 which does indeed display the Peak watt and Peak Current draw. Firmware updates are posted on the toolkitrc website as they release.
Thanks I will do an update video with the new firmware.
Short, and to the point, with no sugar coating! Thank you, Andrew.
Excellent tutorial.
Many thanks for your advice and help with the information and the website, from a grateful rc subscriber in the UK best regards, Alan, uk
Thanks Alan. I love making videos so it's just a bonus when someone else benefits.
Great review.
With all the reviews of people point blank saying the same thing about digits being to small and the screen real estate being consumed by useless gages you’d think they’d change that in a new firmware release. I have not seen one review yet that they did not complain about the useless gages waisting screen real estate that they could easily be used to increase the current and power digits.
Ive been on the fence about picking one of these wm150. But since they dont seam to listen to the people/reviewers about them needing to revise the UI to suit their clients needs is crazy.
agreed, was interested in it ,, not now lol,, good job
they updated firmware.. it now shows peak... have fun !!!
I see Hobby Porter commented that the latest firm ware does display Peak Watts and Current. So I guess you can update it maybe. That would be a good vid to see!
I will as soon as I find a convenient Windows PC. All Mac here and at work.
Nice video and explanation, Andrew. Btw, they did release a FW updating graphic data etc. Another question, I see you using a lamp switcher style, batween battery and setuo (good idea!), but how it's not fried with Lipo current?
Thanks for tip.
Cheers from Brazil!
PC updating only and I use Mac. Good point about the switch, didn't consider that but it has survived. Maybe I won't use it for motor run-ups
I was just looking at watt / amp readers deciding which one to get. It will not be the one you just reviewed, which one do you use for your personal testing? Thank you Andrew for your honest reviews and all the great info you give to the hobbyist 👏👏👏.

@@AndrewNewton Thank you.
Great video my friend always enjoy your insights into rc and I wonder if you can help me, I've just got some nx3 evo stabilizers but I thought they would have english instructions but can't find out how to connect them with my flysky ia6b rx, can you help at all how to position the switches TYDV for my powered gliders and seaplanes and what the multi and emerg inputs are used for, sorry about the long msg but I'm grateful for any help, thanks Alan, uk, very old! Newbie well back again after 55yrs or so 👍
Hi Alan. I don't know that stabiliser sorry but here is a manual in English www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=2ahUKEwi6upWBgvflAhVt7XMBHTvZCEEQFjAAegQIARAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fmsmodel.com%2Ffileuploader%2Fdownload%2Fdownload%2F%3Fd%3D0%26file%3Dcustom%252Fupload%252FFile-1418640380.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0tsTee4mAo2onXfDK6lqJZ
Many thanks for your advice and the instructions I asked for, your an absolute star my friend, I'm sure they will be a valuable help for me, once again my very best regards, Alan, uk 👍👍
If a watt meter doesn't hold peak watts, peak current and minimum voltage it is difficult to use. It is especially difficult when used in conjunction with a thrust gauge and tach. The only measurement I have to remember is the thrust. All others are held until the power is removed.
Hi Andrew there is a new firm available as from yesterday regards Richard
Sorry Andrew i ment to say firmware for the amp meter Richard
Need a Windows PC to do the update
Useless - unti they improve the UI a lot.
I have purchased a motor and wattmeter your friend from this australian rc motor prop shop had presented on his channel. Ordered from Japan for the first time but arrived in 7 days in europe ... 1€ per day shipping. 28€ in total.
a what meter ?
For answering the question: What watts at WOT?
