Seems like *fun, first few minutes, i.e., not depressive!* The modern ones that are depressingly "realistic", with lots of moody shots of wintry landscapes OR/and the very worst aspects of human nature are still fiction. PS I like *Harry Wilde* - BBC, I think. .
This was an excellent series and stands up perfectly today. It rightly launched Alan Davies' acting career and provided some highly original story-lines. Thank you very much for sharing!
Many, Many thanks, I've been looking for this series and for Shakespeare and Hathaway ; all over the internet for such a long time, but I couldn't find them , I wish you upload more episodes 🙏♥️🙋♀️🌹❤
I remember watching this as a kid and dad saying “imagine waking up first thing to doctor who at your door. You’d shit yourself!” Howled with laughter as mum threw her slipper at him
A quite amusing watch but my god, there's an awful lot of absolute "tosh" acting. Awful, awful so much so that i started to enjoy how bad some of the cast actually were! The slight time slip between the visuals + the sound became just another thin slice of the Ham.
I enjoyed this program very much, I've always liked Peter Davidson since I saw him in All creatures Large And Small. Enjoyed him as the killer in Pocket Full of Rye. Have always enjoyed Gavin OHerlihy since he played older brother to Richie Cunningham. Enjoyed him and the script when he played the honorable Virginian in Sharp's Rifles. When I was younger I also had a crush on Gavin's father Dan.
Inconsistencies: when the woman who was dragged into the garage, the garage was empty, but when our heroine enters the garage there are shelves and paint cans. There are a few other ones.
Love a bit of Jonathan Creek. Hokum or not, it entertains me, which is all I ask.
I love Jonathan Creek so much! I wish we could watch all the episodes! ❤
I do on tv
I think all are probably still on the Iplayer.
Easily one of the best series ever - plus Verity Lambert (R.I.P.) one of the absolute best producers. Fantastic!
I want to see more!
Thanks for posting this one.👍
Nice seeing Peter Davison . I am glad you put this on. I have been wanting to see this series.
😊"a very peculiar practise"comes to mind.Another series where he played Doctor.
@@boogieknee3781 Doctor who?
First aired in 1997 so dont knock it. At the time it was brilliant.

Loved this series thank you
Oh wow wish there was more
Thanks. Always liked this show.
Thank you for posting - that was fun.
Fun fact: The show is produced by Doctor Who's first producer, and this episode stars the actor who played the Doctor's fifth incarnation.
Middle class nonsense.
Oh its acting - i thought it was real, which one is the actor
Sound is out of sync.
Just delicious. All the well known faces.
Caroline Quentin has a distinct Victoria Woods vibe :)
AUDIO AND VIDEO A BIT OUT OF SYNC
Love this show
Is the young actress a Redgrave girl? Looks so much like Vanessa
Dr Who?
It's not a perm

Did she really eat that stuff?
Except that the double switch of costumes in a few seconds defies any logic.
Gawd. Talk about a flawed story line, riddled with glaring faults and inconsistencies. Shame.
Please elaborate
@@trixiepixie-sn6leWell for start, a priest investigating a murder

Nice try, but bad script
No worse than most.
Do better you will?….. unlikely so enjoy it 😊
😂 it’s just a bit of fun
YOU WRITE THE SCRIPT AND SEE HOW THAT WORKS OUT
@fionabryant79
Bah Humbug 2U. 🥱
I loved this
Can you fix the synchro ? It's like listening to a 1964 Mini going into first gear
Is what it is, I personally enjoy the stutter of a car attempting its way into first gear
