Remember being 10 and completing challenge mode with Owen Hart just two days after he died. Even though I spammed your wheelkick for 2 hours, that was for you. RIP man.
This was my first wrestling game on the first console I ever owned. There was also something where you couldve called out another wrestler to come an help you in a match. I used to love this, until No Mercy came out
This was the game that got me back in to watching the old WWF since being a Hulk Hogan/British Bulldog fan as a little kid. I remember having all the codes written down for each wrestlers finishing move.
Between my father buying me this game and my cousin introducing me to wrestling in 97 and those Saturday WCW days, the 90s were a great time to be born. Too bad the current WWE product isn't like this.
This is a little boring... I remember mixing it up by jumping from the posts, swinging opponents into the ropes, fighting outside the ring after throwing them out, etc...
Watching this final prompted me to look up what the hell a 'Mutual Admiration Society' is, as Jim Ross would call when 2 player game would be left unattended. Kinda funny!
The memories 😍. Goodness this game was AMAZING for its time. I was extremely addicted. Played it for many hours and even dreamed about it. Haha crazy good ol memories.
I had a PlayStation 1 2 3 and 4 not a five I played a lot of games on Nintendo 64 on PlayStation. I think this game is the greatest wrestling game ever it just play so good for back when it was released in 99 or whenever it was released. I think how you can hit somebody or grapple someone is so authentic I like this game's engine more than I like 2K the new 2k this game is remarkable the graphics are good for back in those days it's a very great game
This game was boring to me, but it has all of the classic wrestlers. N64 Wrestlemania changed my life. No Mercy was even better. I still play both of the games, now.
I was playing this game on my Nintendo 64 and didn’t know how to kick out of a pin until I started spamming buttons & it worked, so that might be how, lol.
Mannnnn, buddy of mine in 5th grade's mom worked at Toys R Us and got this game for him on release...he was the coolest kid in school for a bit hahahahh!
oh my goood that intro I remember it exactly and the rumble pack reminder was so annoying. And i remember playing so many hrs of this game as a kid at my friends house, My mom wouldn't let me have it as i was really young at the time like 8 I think : [ stone cold was always my fave as a lil girl so I played him usually. Graphics looked so good back then but they have not aged well at all LOL i'm laughing so hard just looking back at it now. Probably my first and only wrestling game I ever really got into. I've always been a fighting game fan tho. But I was only ever into wrestling as a young kid and during that 'attitude' era.
I use to play this as a kid but on challenge mode but id always get stuck on the cage match because id get to the top and wouldn't know how to climb down I swear id bash every button on my remote but nothing would work aha wonder if anyone else had this problem.
Cause you needed a 27 button combination to pull off a move. Wcw revenge, wm2000 and no Mercy raped this, wwf attitude and ecw hardcore revolution. Acclaim games sucked
I had a lot of fun with this game when it came out. Creating my own wrestler was a big deal. I’d never done that before. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure I had to look up on the internet the finishing moves. It was just the way it was back then but the idea of that now is so wacky. Games had strange things like that. Lol. Just tell me how to play? Why would I want to finish an Austin match with nothing but a stunner? Fucking Wcw World Tour was out before this game and finishers were just flicking a stick. 😂
The two versions have various trade-offs in game features. The N64 version features high resolution character models, but no high quality digitized music and video like its PlayStation counterpart does. Also, gamers have noticed that the N64 version sports a ring canvas with an oddly yellowish hue. The N64 version has two exclusive modes; Royal Rumble and Gauntlet.
True, though it's impossible to keep an up to date roster with sports games bro!! People get dropped from a company all the time!! They should of have him unlockable or something lol??
This game was groundbreaking and next level shit at the time a big step up from the Sega Super Nintendo graphics. This was the first game I got with the PS1 Christmas 98. It came with a demo to Metal Gear Solid.
Wcw/Nwo World Tour came out a year before this and revolutionized wrestling games. Wcw/NWO Revenge which came out about two months after Warzone was superior in pretty much every single way. Acclaim sucked at wrestling games outside of the arcade game they did once.
@@karlt1327 tbh, No Mercy destroys all those 3 games together. That said, Warzone was the first wrestling game I ever owned, as a kid I liked it and played it a lot, but even then I realized it was kinda boring. Not much to do, not many options, modes or features. But this game still gives me a lot of nostalgia :')
The best chrismases were the ones where you opened a new PS1, N64 or Sega Saturn etc. People can't understand how special that was. Then we'd spend the rest of the day playing the 1 game we got lol
Well, I made it through the whole first match and didn't hear Vince shout "WHAT A MANEUVER!" even once. That automatically makes the game unrealistic...
This is more entertaining than WWE in 2019!!!
ROFL, glad you guys liked it bro!!!!

I wouldn't go that far.
"Wow look at these graphics!!!!" Said me in 1998. Love it
The fact that some of these guys (goldust/billy gunn) are in a video game like this and still wrestling today is insane
They should organize a WWF WarZone reunion panel with whomever is still around
Billy Gunn is not in this. But in Attitude.

My first one was wwf wrestlemania 2000 on n64.
Me too before this I was a wcw fan. This game bought by dad on mistake changed my wrestling Fandom for life
“And I’m Good Ole JR” Man that’s pure Gold!!!!
I remember when this came out and haven’t played it in almost 20 years. I had almost forgotten what the menu system looked like
Glad you guys liked it man!!
How the fuck did we ever enjoy this. Yes I'm drunk

Acclaim couldn't make a console wrestling game to save their life. THQ and AKI dominated them.
The even copied the same unplayable BS twice:
Warzone --> Attitude --> ECW HC Revolution
