1. ET and Michael Jackson glasses would've been awesome! 2. Vote for Kavanaugh. Lol! 3. Those Wendy's kids meal boxes were awesome! 4. Best thumbnail ever! And Halloween III had an awesome soundtrack btw.
Tr0nzoid Agreed! I recently read up on it, and the directors were trying to create a Halloween universe outside of a Michael Myers, which is why they tried it in 3. A lot a fans were displeased it was not a continuation of Michael Myers. I too was puzzled by this, but at the same time I enjoyed the movie 👍🏾
'CHiPS Patrol' was what they called the syndicated version of 'CHiPS' because they wanted to make sure the audience wasn't confused because CHiPS was still on the air at the time.
No on D-Elton Smith looks like a character from those old Gerry Anderson shows Halloween III-greatest ending ever"Stop it! STOP IT!! STOP IIITTTTTT!!!!"
The original MSRP for Atari games was around $20-25, or around $50-60 when adjusted for inflation. This was the beginning of the Video Game crash, retailers trying to get rid of their stock of unsold games and sell them at break-even prices.
rockstarTraveler I want to say that it’s been around for about fifty years. Our rock station, WMMS in Cleveland, just had its fiftieth anniversary a month ago, and one of the radio hosts was talking about WRIF’s similar longevity recently.
3:14 - There's something vaguely toad-like about Mr. Elton Smith. Maybe it's the way his tongue kind of darts out of his mouth briefly a couple times while he talks, combined with that squished in face of his.
Considering the age of many of those Atari cartridges at the time it's a good thing they're priced so low in 1982! So yes/no on D and no on G! Also Halloween III was a good movie, too bad they didn't go on with the anthology idea and brought Michael Myers back for the subpar 4 and 5.

Love that Commercial @5:15 "Season of the Witch" is a good Halloween movie. It hadn't even hit theaters yet.
Clicked on this just for the H3 ad. Have the Trick or Treat Studios line of Silver Shamrock masks in my living room haha
03:40 - I like the simple directness of summarily dismissing one's opponent's philosophies as "Dumb".
So amazing! Thank you for these!

Thank you for posting all of these. It’s very much appreciated. Happy Holidays!
We're in agreement on Halloween 3
Yes, "Halloween III: Season of the Witch" didn't get the respect it deserved.
I have E.T. glasses, but not those.

First time I've seen a Burger Chef breakfast ad. And I'd give this video a thumbs up even if it was just the cheesy local hunting supply ad.
Damn that WRIF commercial brings back memories. RIP Mike

This was common at the time; another example: "Happy Days" was called "Happy Days Again" in syndication.
@@80sCommercialVault Right. Bonanza was called Ponderosa during its run. They dont really bother with different names now...
_CHiPS Patrol_ = "California Highway Patrol Patrol?"
I remember those WRIF commercials it really brings back memories
I totally recognized Casey Sander. He played Sven on Golden Girls and Bernadette's dad on Big Bang Theory.

The Atari games advertised as $8.88 would cost $23.23 in current money.

Yes I really enjoyed Halloween 3 was a great movie
The WRIF 101 has severely changed. I also had no idea this radio station dates back this far.

Definitely. Those tongue flicks at 3:25 and 3:35...flies wouldn't stand a chance around that guy.
80's beer commercials were awesome!
@11:04 I guess there were no participating dealers? LOL
6:32 _Ahhh!_
(MST3K-style jump-cut reaction.)
"Listen, Proposal D is dumb".
Aired between 10/18-10/22/1982 as the Solid Gold episode aired on 10/23/1982.
Always enjoy a nice Burger Chef ad. Similarly, it's the first breakfast one I recall.

Say no to proposal D, everyone. Whatever that is.

01:56 / 02:08 - so damn cool they had to show it twice
