Alsatian-Style Apple Tart (with custardy filling):
For a 20cm/8in round pie dish:
2 or 3 apples (depending on the size)
Around 250g/8.8oz pastry (shortbread or shortcrust)
200ml/6.8oz crème fraiche
70g/2.5oz sugar
2 medium eggs
