Adams was extremely lucky not to walk. A lot of refs would of sent him off for that even back then. I qualified as a ref in 97 and using the cheat word was the quickest way to be testing if the hot water in the showers worked for everybody else.

You can see clearly in the video that he signalled for a foul and a Millwall free kick. Nothing to do with eventually being over the line.
