xseedlingx I can get the bait caster Rod way out there but it's with heavy lures, bass lures. two different kinds of fishing. if you're fishing for trout bluegill crappie you want the spin combo. because you can use lighter lures I can still get it way out there though

if you backpack, the backpacker is a 6' rod goes down to about 11" fits any reel. If you want micro, the 4' and reel with rear drag is perfect spooled with 2lb maxima or triline

you tie on backing, I used 12 lb mono, about 30' then tie the flie line to this, reel it up, then a piece of 12lb mono about 3" with a loop at the end, then your leeder you make has a loop, connect the two and your good, there are videos showing set up of a fly reel. I have seen a few. check putting backing on a fly rod or knotts to connect leader to fly line, everything is already posted on this. If you cant find it, ask me agin in the new week and Ill send you links to some videos already up but its thanksgiving now
its a fly rod set up. same as all. backing. fly line, mono with a loop leeder and tippet BUT rod is too short for long tappered leeder, just use straight 2Lb line for leeder, about 5' then tie a 1' tippet, to cut on as you cgange flies
