    This is why I love youtube; once in a while I find a small time youtuber putting out better shit than top tier tubers who are too busy making podcasts, selling merch, and streaming dry content to remember what made their channels great.
    This man isn't using an A.I. voice, making yet another TOP 10, or using a click-bait algorithm friendly thumbnail. He's giving an honest unfunded opinion, loves what he's doing and was entertaining to boot.
    Lets get you to the top to show them how its done homie

    I couldn't agree more, man. After playing Pokemon all throughout elementary school and Yu-Gi-Oh in middle school, I've really never looked back after I found magic in Highschool.

    I’m actually new to MTG as Ive hit 25 and need a nice paced game that i can throw my money at from time to time, but I have found a that it’s kind of hard to keep up with, I started close to the beginning of bloom burrow and as I am trying to figure out the different styles of game like standard and commander I also have to learn a lot of cards including the new bloom burrows that have come out, I’m barely familiar with bloom burrow besides mono red and frogs and the Duskmourn has already dropped and tbh though I am loving duskmourn as I am a big Green and White fan but I feel like I can never catch up, I’m still trying as with the few decks that I have online are still fun to play but I have issues fully understanding the game and styles that they have and which I should focus on. Sorry this is more of a rant than anything but watching your video helped me think about some things that I didn’t think about before so thank you. Hopefully they do slow down on the releasing of new content and let us enjoy what we already have.

    Thank you for letting yourself nerding out, because I feel like Magic isn't for nerds anymore. It is more and more designed for people who wouldn't have played Mtg in the first place (because, you know, it's a nerd game). And Hasbro is trying it's hardest to stretch the game so it reaches out to pop culture and sports fans without losing it's primary playerbase. But looking onward it seems like we're the ones who are going to be throw out of the train first.

      Magic has been losing me these past few years. I was absolutely thrilled about the dungeons and dragons crossover, as it was a game i enjoyed before MTG while perfectly matching the theme. But now with all these other universes beyond sets, as well as wacky, goofy, and tone shifting things like Thunder Junction, Bloomburrow, and now Duskmourn, it's been feeling less and less like Magic: The Gathering, and more like Generic: The Trading Card Game.

    I just got back in after 25 years. A buddy at work asked me to play then Bloomburrow hooked me. It blows my mind now they come out like every few months. I saw a preview for Duskmourne the day Bloomburrow released, so i totally agree they should slow the pace but businesses are gonna buisness i guess.

      I'm also a new player. The past few sets have been released on an accelerated schedule to make room for Foundations I heard.

    I know taste is subjective but that much praise for Magic's art after having played Vanguard is baffling to me.
    I only recently started getting into Vanguard after more than 15 years of Magic and I find Vanguard's art soooooo much more exciting and downright cool. It just all looks impressive and bombastic.
    Magic certainly has its hits but the vast majority of the illustrations look like generic fantasy art or depict small figures against a vast landscape which prevents the creatures from feeling as imposing as they're supposed to.
    I'm saying all of this with the condition that Magic is my favourite 'western' tcg. I just find it hard to believe that someone who's played Vanguard can find Magic's art impressive...

      @@Dimitar_Tsanev I agree and respect that opinion. I believe I didn't say anything bad at Vanguard's art however, it's all a matter of differing perspective and opinion. I mostly prefer Magic as a game compared to Vanguard.

      I lowkey disagree Magic’s art feels more abstract compared to Vanguard’s constant anime art style which get boring after a while

    • @Dimitar_Tsanev
      @Dimitar_Tsanev 2 місяці тому

      @@redzone4412 Yeah, it really is subjective and entirely a matter of preference.
      I just like how Vanguard's characters are so overdesigned and in your face on almost every illustration and how there's no concept of subtlety and restrained. The art is just balls to the wall all the time in terms of detail and posing and it seems like the sole purpose of every piece is to look as cool as possible. On the one hand, I think this reflects the game's nature of constantly taking actions and doing something (often changing your entire board state multiple times per turn), but on the other, it just personally speaks to me more than Magic's more traditional fantasy approach and art that is, often, more symbolyc and vague in its depiction of what the card is supposed to do.

      Your confusion probably comes from you conflating "bombastic" with "good quality". YGO, for example, has a lot of bombastic arts... And they all suck. They're over designed and tell no story while MTG art is much more simpler or much more artistic and still tells a story, there's no comparison.

    hard disagree on Markov, he has one of the most simplistic and generic "vampire lord" art I have ever seen. this kinda feels like cope.😂

    • @pascalsimioli6777
      @pascalsimioli6777 Місяць тому

      If you ask me to imagine a vampire lord I don't usually imagine a guy in cerimonial armor in the middle of being dressed by servants. It's much more like a warlord, with a rich tradition that comes from the pose he's depicted in and the dressing up he's receiving. No, my man, if you told me to draw a vampire lord I would've done a guy dressed in black with a mantle, in the middle of the night. E. Markov has a great art.
