Isn't it great that FINALLY anything from Italy is soooooooooo hip😊 .....I know of people who pretend being italian and really try hard to copy....bless my nonni and my parents who are no longer here and if it wasn't for them and HARD sacrifices the new generation must imbrace and hold close all that is ITALIAN. ❤
I am from Bangladesh. I love Italian cuisine. Their culture is similar to ours, family enjoying life together. talking, gossiping, and lots of food, and elderly people are taken care of by family members. It feels like just two nations but deep inside feelings are quite the same.
What Italians have done for South Australia is remarkable. Top successes in Football Soccer Politics Architecture Restaurants Farming Kafes Clothing stores Jewellery Construction Supermarkets We love our Italians
What I noticed as a middle-easterner is that I have trouble identifying Australian Italians... I either mix them up as Australians (anglo-saxons) if from North or as Chrisitan Lebanese if from the South.. it really is hard for me to tell The only thing that can really give me a hint that they are italians is their demeanor.. they are white, but cool.. and yet not too dirty
But the Australians, who were of English background, who were inslaved for being poor., they had to open up Australia, and you can say whatever you like, but the Anglo-Saxons really did the real hard work. When you guys arrived, the real hard stuff was already done. I'm not wearing this bullshit! In the 18th century it was much harder!!!!
Italians and Lebanese are of similar/same ancestry. They're actually considered to be the same race (Mediterranean). I'm Italian American myself and I swear it looked like a family reunion when I went to a Lebanese restaurant. So I don't blame you for mixing us up.
You follow AFL? You cannot speak Italian? You don't know the provinces of Italy? High income and success is a yardstick by which you identify as Italian, and you measure up the next Australian Italian? You can't cook? Nor can you read intermediate Italian? Do you know when the Italian republic was founded? You are not Italian if you have answered yes to Q1, No to Q 2. If you have answered yes to Q.3 No to Q.4, No to Q.5 Too many people state without understanding the implication: I'm Italian. Italian is not a fashion accessory nor is it take out Pizza. It is a cultural identity, no it does not mean driving a Mercedes makes you a Milanense, born in Sicily, and you live in Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney.
