In his recent (excellent) book on Springsteen's "Born in the USA", Steven Hyden described the "Heartland" as a cultural meeting point upon which - had he been writing about right now - an urban fan of AOC could share simple joy with a guy in the rust belt wearing a baseball cap and driving a pick-up. Sorry, the cliches are mine - forgive me, I'm a Brit, but y'all get the point. The book laments, profoundly, how that space has shrunk since the album appeared - look to tomorrow and the next few day's political events for a prime example. Anyways, Wussy, by their very nature, have done more than most to keep that Heartland alive and "Inhaler" is a fantastic example of that. They're simply a wonderful band. Best of luck for the new record.
And if you listen to Gideon Coe's show from Wednesday 6 November at about 40 mins, you can hear him admit that he had been listening to this earlier that day without even noticing his name in the chorus! 😄
The band seems to get better and better. This one reminds me of the propulsiveness of a good Yo La Tengo song for some reason.
YES same here
Album didn't really click the first 5 listenings, but now it does.Big.;-))))
Pre-ordered on Bandcamp last month and it arrived. Perfectly timed to help conserve sanity during the ongoing election.
And hopefully post election as well.
And nothing else to do but turn the radio on again. ❤
This is so good. Being a fan since funeral dress and I love this new vibe, the distortion is absolutely breathtaking
Oh yes, lovely stuff! Would love to see you live again in the UK
Between this and "Indiana Wants Me Too," Lisa Walker is on a serious roll.
Happy Thanksgiving and congratz! Your album is featured on Timmy Joe's Twelve 2024 v.19. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Awesome. This will be another great Wussy album to add to my collection!
perfect LP again
Great stuff!!!👏👏👏 Regards from Italy.
I don't think Wussy are capable of making a bad record. In principle I guess they could, but... Loving this 🙂
So much to appreciate here. Love the footage and I like seeing the lyrics. The voices of Chuck and Lisa, the music, the entire song; all sublime.🙂
Love this tune, love this band. Keep it coming
Can't wait, thanks for the great music! please come play Boston with your full band
Damn, I'm loving the new material so much. Big November 15th anticipation.
Love y’all so much. Thanks for making my day again.❤

Nice post!
So good. I literally got chills.
Three songs surfaced. All three among the songs of the year. Where is this album going?
