This song really hits me hard. The sense of sadness and longing is palpable. For anyone out there experiencing grief please embrace wholeheartedly or avoid for fear of being overwhelmed.

I just discovered this Wussy adjacent track after getting into Wussy and seeing the Cincinnati Ohio album on some best of 2024 lists. I'm typically more of a "listen to the whole album" dude, but this one though...it's incredibly infectious and has a total vibe. I've been repeating it all evening. Congrats on a fantastic demo you could practically release as is.✌

Everything about this gives me big Twin Peaks (1990) vibes. The beat and melody and visuals all feel like they're from that era. And these lyrics scream Laura Palmer.

The band seems to get better and better. This one reminds me of the propulsiveness of a good Yo La Tengo song for some reason.

In his recent (excellent) book on Springsteen's "Born in the USA", Steven Hyden described the "Heartland" as a cultural meeting point upon which - had he been writing about right now - an urban fan of AOC could share simple joy with a guy in the rust belt wearing a baseball cap and driving a pick-up. Sorry, the cliches are mine - forgive me, I'm a Brit, but y'all get the point. The book laments, profoundly, how that space has shrunk since the album appeared - look to tomorrow and the next few day's political events for a prime example. Anyways, Wussy, by their very nature, have done more than most to keep that Heartland alive and "Inhaler" is a fantastic example of that. They're simply a wonderful band. Best of luck for the new record.
