£40,000 Split or steal?

- In this episode, 4 male contestants tested their bluffing skills to reach the final, rather than the usual 2 male and 2 female. To be honest, it didn't really make the game any more interesting. I hope they don't do it again.
To shake the man's hand and then lie, that is not a code of honour
JustAgreekPassing yes it is
Evwrybody in this show who chooses steal has no honor....
Walid Zadran stfu it's a game the choice is there for a reason
true
oh rly
The bloke in the yellow shirt would get his throat slashed if he came down a pub and done that. A man to man handshake is supposed to mean more than that.
Your name is loyal how ironic lol
yeah
He is a twat not a man.
hahah do you play poker and just split the cash when you win by deception? of course not! you go in knowing the game, knowing deception IS the game
attichris you don’t understand though. In poker you don’t have the choice to split. The aim of the game is to win the money. In this game theirs a Choi is to steal and split.
A lot of people in the comments argue that Steal is the better option. But that is because their calculations only involve money. I can honestly tell you that in this situation I would much rather be the guy who walked away with nothing. Because integrity is worth so much more to me than money. Money does not buy happiness. Being a good human being does.
11thcabbage i agree
-said noeone ever
I would always choose steal. If the opponent chooses split, I can give them half after the show. If they choose steal aswell then both walk away with nothing but atleast the other player won't get jack shit.
sure dude thats because unlike you some people in the world are struggling to even make ends meet and money is actually needed to live
Hold on right there mate. I make very little money and work full time plus have a massive student loan. That money would change my life, but I would still rather have nothing than steal it the way this guy did. Don't be so quick to judge people.
I think that guy had so much integrity that he would have split even if he thought the other guy was lying, so at least one of them would have some money

@Hgyvtfygyhuh Ygihvutctvnininnin not everyone is fluent in English u stupid shit. Ppl wanna share their thoughts without having a stupid grammar nazi on their chest.
@Hgyvtfygyhuh Ygihvutctvnininnin lol.Why do you even care about his/hers grammar?Plus this is the internet who the heck cares about spelling?
@Hgyvtfygyhuh Ygihvutctvnininnin There were no errors or incorrect sentences in my comment so your point is invalid
@Hgyvtfygyhuh Ygihvutctvnininnin actually, the sentence *was* grammatically incorrect, which is why it doesn't make sense (at least to those who purposely choose not to understand it). It really wasn't necessary to talk to someone that condescendingly. He/she is probably not as fluent in English as a native speaker would be because he/she speaks multiple languages or is just starting to learn the English language. We should instead encourage them and correct their mistake :)
@Hgyvtfygyhuh Ygihvutctvnininnin "They" are an "idiot" ? And you are criticising others English?
You could tell by his body language from the beginning that his intention was to steal

You guys say this to sound smart lolll
Telling someone that you can't do anything but Split just makes it an easier decision for them to Steal, it's a difficult game.
exactly!
well if you're morally intact and truly happy you would always choose split. If not, you are just a terrible human being
@@aaronpacheco3553 I don’t think it’s that simple. If you were a struggling single mother for example and chose the “steal” ball knowing that money could your kids a better life I don’t think she would be evil for doing so.
Holy crap the second I saw the guy with the yellow top, I knew straight away he would steal. Did the other guy not read his facial expressions?
Sean M what would he be able to do if he knew he was gonna steal?
@VeteranCape So mutually assured destruction is better than one side winning? How does that even make sense? If the other person chooses steal you lose no matter what you choose. Retaliating by also choosing steal is a sore losers tactic. It is better to walk away with honor than to deny someone something you couldn't have.
@@Redbatray Walk away with honor? A losers tactic? That's so stupid lol. Why would you have to give all the money to the other guy just because he doesn't want to share it? For me that's the losers tactic. You can say that one side winning is better than losing all the money, but both contestants go there to win, and I wouldn't give all the money to a greedy person just because they want everything.
@@prophet6557 You are stupid. I would have said before showing the ball that I would choose steal no matter what and split it after the show. Then you as an opponent can either lose by picking steal or win by picking split.
@@mariosalmantino Oh? So you are not greedy for picking steal yourself, but the other party is?
100% logic.
Stop making excuses, you are making a fool out of yourself.
I could tell he was going to steal from you. You made it so clear that you were going to split, that he couldn't resist the steal. You made the right decision to split, but it still sickens me to see people doing this. There's more to life than just money. Whatever happened to compassion and love for your fellow human beings.

The steal dude is never gonna get a good job or a loyal wife, the dude with the split is someone everyone likes and trust. All your life reputation over 20k pounds? Im from a third world country with an average montly salary of 200 pounds and I will allways choose split cause your life reputation is not worth that money.
they need to make the ending longer so we can see how awkward it gets.

Lauren lost in my opinion.
Where Lauren (yellow) won 40,000 in cash, the dude in blue won 1,000,000,000 in integrity for remaining with the "split" option despite being stolen from in the previous games.
It's Warren ffs not Lauren thats a girls name lol!

I could never steal because of the fear of my mom watching it and being disappointed in me. It is something to be ashamed of! Imagine a world with only people who share...and only people who steal. Caring about other people is EVERYTHING.
Obviously people who steal already live an unhappy life that they try to fix with money, a happy person would never steal

It was so obvious from the guy's body language that he had already made up his mind on stealing. He kept fidgeting from the start of this clip until the time he showed his true color. I can't believe the other guy was so oblivious to his mannerisms 🤦♂️
A lot of respect to you Jim.
If you look back, see how twitchy and nervous he was before the reveal, during your discussion. You held your gaze firm and strong
Warren . . I've got no respect for him
I reckon to add a good twist to this bit in the game, after they choose split or steal they should then be given the choice whether to force their opponent to swap their ball. It would make the game so much more interesting

I called the guy on the left would be the jerk from the first 5 seconds based on looks alone. Instinct is a superpower.
Knew beyond any doubt he was going to steal
I ain’t gonna lie, that dude in the bumblebee looking shirt gives off sociopath vibes. All in the eyes dude.
This show is great at bringing people together.
Have binged watched about two dozen of these clips so far, but this one hurt the most, purely because of how genuine and kind the bloke comes across on the right
i couldn't pick steal, just because everybody would hate me then xD
Yeah if you take the Steal ball everyone will hate you, and if you take the Split one, you either are considered as a good guy if you lose and as a trustworthy person if you win or lose
I don’t understand how people can look another person in the eye and steal from them there is always gonna be a bit of greed but the strongest people can pass that
What does mean strongest people pass that? Will you elobrate plz
I love the way they say sorry!! the most insincere apology ever. I've started to watch these on you tube never really watched when it was on ITV, but I can spot them a mile away. I spotted the stealer on each clip. I wonder if Karma has bit any of the stealers on the arse yet I would be fascinated to find out
Stealing is one thing, but promising to split with a handshake and then stealing is just fucked up
0:49 He leans down and peeks at it, right then I knew he was going to steal. A swine indeed.
Thanks
Prediction after seeing them talk: I think the guy on the left will steal. He never really talked like the other one, his handshake was his initiative but he was sure at the time the other one would split. It's just to put him comfortable. I really don't feel him. The guy on the right seems so honest with his arguments, I'm sure he will split.
yay !
The guy who lost featured in a later episode and split with a young lady, alls well that ends well. So glad I saw it! Was gutted for him x
The five balls they picked was if I’m not wrong killer killer £11,000 £9,000 £20,000
The bloke in the yellow shirt plainly obvious he would steal, shifty eyes and the handshake was insincere as well.
A handshake would fucking never broken

He knew he picked the steal ball before he showed it
Young men under 30 only choose to cooperate in this game 33% of the time, increasing with age to a whopping 77% cooperation rate after age 50.
Either you die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain
I was absolutely certain that the guy on the right was gonna split. I could tell he was an honourable man. His mini-speech he gave was very heartfelt. It was just a matter of whether the guy on the left had any integrity, and he turned out to have absolutely none. He knew 100% that the other guy would split because of how sincere he was, and he pathetically took advantage of that honesty. Not only did he steal, he went against a promise. Disgusting.
I love how I can just see the thumbnail and know who's gonna steal lol
I swear i knew that guy would steal i mean look at his face
He knew that the guy in yellow was going to steal and he still I chose to split. Respect for him.
Goes to show how greedy people can get.

Stealer looked so squirrely but what can the other guy do? He's an honest business man. He has integrity and you can't trade that for money. No way he could've avoided this
He was obviously going to steal. You can spot a liar a mile away.
The problem with this game is it pins honest people who don’t even want to spite steal, against dishonest people who will choose steal 90% of the time.
Sadly steal is the better option.
50/50 to double your money, whilst placing split can see you with nothing.
True steal also has a 50/50 of nothing. But you have better odds yourself.
The most interesting ones though are when you get an honest person who can tell the other person will steal and they spite them.
The honest person usually don’t look that upset, but the dishonest stealer is usually gutted.
Bro I thought the blue guy will steal😂😂😂
Jim DID see through the thief, his facial expressions showed disappointment at some point, but his integrity was too honorable to make him steal anyway
Looked like both would steal to me
Poor Jim, got stung by waspman!
the guy was jumping all over that chair and biting his lips, waiting on the other guy to stop talking .biggest red flag ever.
Jim should have taken Mick to the final. It's hard to feel sorry for Jim, because he voted Mick out in the previous round, who definitely would have split.
He even established the hand shake.
That's low.
For those of you feel disappointed, Jim got invited back and split about 4000 pounds with a lovely redhead.
You can look at his face and see he’s going to steal
it’s taught me that i’m an absolute swine😂😂😂
calum.97 he got an extra fiver for sayif that 😬
He shaked his hand and lied....
You want to steal then steal but don't shake the man's hand who's being honourable. Appalling.
The guy in blue seemed straight the other looked deceptive
I saw this episode and it was the worst one IMO, the guy didn't need to gloat about stealing it afterwards, talk about twisting the knife.
Before i got to the split or steal part,i went back and saw who held out their hand for the handshake first,i knew that that was the one that was gonna steal😂
£40,000 for warren nothing for Jim
How you gonna shake his hand then betray right after??
A snake in the grass...& ugly one at that!!
Yeah I agree. Don't say sorry. It just adds insult to injury, as one lie is told on top of another.
Wow, he splits even when he realizes the other guy was lying. Why tho? That money staying with the host is still a better idea than with that scumbag.
Shoulder shake says it all
Congratulations you go home with nothing 😂😂😂
@SuperAudi999 Well done Jim, for remaining true to yourself and to your principles. Undoubtedly, your opponent made good television but if there were more people like you, the world would be a much better place. I wish you and your family all the best in life.
It went exactly as I predicted. The right guy seemed very honest while the left guy seemed very dishonest and nervous.
he can afford a dentist now and a shave
if this isnt a split split i will be SHOCKED
the kid's face appears that he will steal actually from the beggining
but i didn't expect that after the handshake honestly
Just a huge stain on his reputation
why do they say their sorry?, they are not. its a game. i myself would be honest and say im picking steal and offer to split the money after the show, my word is my bond and i would honour that cause i dont trust anyone to do the same.that way i would leave it up to them if we get nothing or each get half.
Same
I already knew he was going to steal 😂😂💀
My prediction: Steal - Steal
The guy from Dragon's Den is rotten to the core, especially irritating that he is doing well now being worth 90 million even after the Dragon's turned him down.
Except for the fact that this game brings up the smart in the people. There is literally NO reason ever not to choose steal. You cannot gain anything from choosing the split option, never. 1) if you want, you get more money from steal than split every single time. you have nothing to lose by choosing the steal. nothing. 2) if you really want to split your money, there is nothing stopping you from choosing the steal and split it after the show with an honest person who chose split.
the guy who lost saying it was a bad decision makes me laugh. it was obv a good decision because he got £20,000 more LOOL
At the priceless cost of your reputation ruined and have everyone know that you don’t keep your word, can’t be trusted, break promises and worse of all: even a handshake.
@@dex353 reputation ruined… for playing a game??? how it’s meant to be played? get a life
@@iSwearToCod it’s one thing when you just steal. But when you lie, promise, shake on it and still backstab. That’s absolutely disgraceful. And I probably have more of a life than you considering you responded immediately

why because i have notifications on my phone in 2021? grow up lol
i have a very different perspective... i believe its a gameshow and your values are allowed to be thrown out the window.. its the nature of the game good for him
There's an episode (actually a few) where a man promises to split then steals from a woman who kept her word and split. Except the whole comment section laughed at her and said she was duped and he outsmarted her and she should have never trusted him oh and that he was just playing the game. Funny how biased the comment sections on these videos are. Don't believe me just click on the nearest one where you think a woman steals from the man and compare the comment section to this one. It's either two men should have split because if they both have dicks they are expected to automatically adhere to some invisible bro code otherwise one has no honour or integrity or the woman is just a dirty greedy thief, but when a man steals from a woman it's strategy and "just how the game goes". It's become so predictable I already know what the comments are going to be before even reading them. Complete double standards. Honour and integrity are apparently completely biased.
even though he won nothing i truly believe making that decision to spilt on tv in front of everyone would do good especially since he has a business everyone can trust him now to be an honest man i can’t say the same for the guy on the left yes he won all of the money but i know ppl’s idea of him changed and trust is a very hard and near impossible to regain well done to the business man you won so much more
This was the most obvious steal ever. I didn't trust that guy at all
Fkin knew he gonna steal the first moment I saw him..
It's literally a game, stop bringing this to a personal level
Obviously this game presents a very hard situation but I think I would judge the person on what they do in the situation of split and steal. If they don't talk much, don't look me in the eye, fidget. Or conversely are too smug, wry smile etc I would steal to deny the person of their beloved money. But if I think they are genuinely want to split I would take a leap of faith. However, If I misjudged and I split and they stole I would 100% split the money after the show.
Lasagne man - Probably sign off on not being able to do that
well we've all watched so many golden balls programmes where so many honest people have lost a fortune to greedy people, theres only one answer to this to be on the safe side and that would be to steal with the intent to share if the other person chose the split ball. when theres a huge amount at steak then the chances are gonna be higher with that steal ball, if i was sat there with a 40,000, 60,000 or 80,000 i would be shitting it thinking i'm gonna lose here whilst the other person takes the whole lot. i would have no choice but to steal, and if the other person was honest and chose the split ball then i'd say right im gonna share this. i'd simply ask jasper to write out two cheques for 20,000 each then hand one cheque over to the person i was playing with. it's the most honest thing to do and we both would be quids in at the end of the game...
Where do ppl get the CRAZY idea that they can trust a fucking stranger to split that kind of money with them?
