- Do you get intimidated by kerf with your laser work? This video uses hands on demonstrations to help to explain kerf, things that affect it, and how to simply figure out what your kerf is to help you get the best fit for your projects.
I've watched probably a million videos on kerf but this was by FAR the absolute BEST one I've seen! Thank you so so so much for sharing your knowledge with us!!
Thanks for taking me 'Kerfing'...By far the best tutorial explaining kerf on UA-cam. Please more content....
You should be an instructor! I'm a visual learner myself and you did an amazing job of explaining the process while using real life examples and demonstrating it, that it all makes sense now! Thank you so much!😁😁
excelente explanation, very well presented! thank you! I really feel better about understanding kerf now!!
Wow, you are an excellent teacher. Concise and thorough at the same time. Thank you so much!
Good video great explanation.
Excellent explanation of kerf. Thanks so much. I hope you make more videos.
Brilliant thanks
Great video! I've had a laser for quite some time but I'm finally trying to "stretch my boundaries" and try some things out of the ordinary. Great kerf explanation. Thanks for the video.
Great explanation! Thank you!
Yay! Thank you so much- I'm glad it was helpful! : )
thank you
I watched your "Using Kerf for Inlay Earrings" and that was really good. This video had even more details and really appreciate it! Thank you!
I have been working with lasers for about 4 years and woodworking for 50 years, your way of explaining kerf was wonderful. Using Lightburn I find that I use an outside kerf compensation and sometimes an inside depending on what I am doing. When ever you use your calipers rather that zero them wipe the jaws off fist you might find that there’s was debris between the jaws.
Another way that demonstrates the kerf would be using a magnifying glass and showing the focal point
Excellent video! 😀🛫
Nice explanation. Not sure what software you use, but most allow you to input the Kerf and it figures out the cut for you.
Interested to know which ones do for future knowledge when I need to upgrade. I have a Glowforge and it does not.
@@SharonMehl yeah, Glowforge refuses to allow 3rd party software. Lightburn is the industry standard and has this function.
