I just wanted to tell you that I just found your channel a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love your videos. From your vlogs to your pen sampling to your ‘watch me unpack my groceries’ or ‘watch me read in a hammock’. Your channel is so relaxing. Thank you for sharing your life and I hope you do it for a long time. Much love! 💙💙💙
I am always so excited to see a video from you! I love your traveler's notebooks and your passion and dedication to journaling. Your personality is just awesome.
When we are free to roam again you should start a thrifting playlist. I would like to see what you look for in the shops! New to your channel and I am catching up on all your older videos.I love your new bag!!!
I like the ink swab book, I need to do that. I have them on a Coloring, but I’d like to have them in a book like that. I also have an Inked Log, but it’s in a Arch diskbound book. I thought about adding when I clean my “Inked” pens so I know what has been removed from the list. I love your Tuck-away pens, those are sooo beautiful! I love the belt buckle story, that a great memory. Your ferret is so cute, and fast! 😁
I was researching some journal sites on UA-cam and found you. Oh my goodness - you are fabulous. Somehow I knew you were a New York kind of girl because my Dad was born & raised in Brooklyn & there's just always something recognizable when we meet each other - even if its on the Internet. Anyhow - I am enchanted by what you are saying even though I am not quite sure what all the terms mean. You have inspired me to get back into my calligraphy that I abandoned years ago. I am coming back to this video tomorrow and am writing down all the terms I do not recognize - especially the "inking up." Thanks for posting this and I love the fabric on the chair.
i spent 3monts in Tucson working on a project in Marana back in Sept-Dec 2017. i really enjoyed it:) thanks for the videos, and making me write my first journal pages :)
Nice update! Also awww how cute bigsby is! Id love to see more of him. Btw, really jealous of that blanket on your couch and congrats on finding this bag. Id love to see either like a thrifting haul or vlog and just a little bit more of how you live and about your life :) you really are a big inspiration to me
Iduna Black aww, thank you. :) I always enjoy your comments. That blanket was another great thrift store find! I love the colors and design. I’d love to do a thrift haul or something similar!
No WAY!!! Not only are you adorable and have a ferret, NOW I see you have a long dog (greyhound, Lurcher, whippet?) I’m in love with this breed. Swoon x
Alicia, it's one of the more appealing aspects to journalling - that you may use leather covers to protect (& enhance) your notebooks. I tend to use A5 & A6 sizes - never considered the B6 format, but it does appear to give you that extra 'margin-width' space ( I don't have much in the way of Tomoe River stationery, but the ink swatch inclusion to the rear of the journal, is a nice touch) - perhaps the idea will catch on with other premium branded paper manufacturers. Here in the UK & the Republic Of Ireland (I'm an Irishman, abroad), there is a plethora of fine quality notebook covers in leather - it's often difficult to select one particular maker, but I have several from different outlets; I digress. Thank you for the update, & do stay safe !! :)
It is so satisfying seeing all your inks archived! I've been archiving mine on Col-o-dex cards but I love the idea of a portable ink archive. I am so tempted to get a TSL pen roll because of you
I always enjoy seeing just how you use your journals, your pens, your paper...... You are so cool - you remind me of my sister, when she was your age. We grew up in the 60's and she was a real hippie girl, while she was in medical school. We are now 70 years of age. Ha! Love your channel.
I’m thrilled to learn that I’m not the only fountain pen enthusiast who not only has a separate TN for archiving/documenting/swabbing inks, but also uses every opportunity to test inks across all journals. 💙🖋📚
You’re the exact person I hope gets all the good things I pass onto The Goodwill. I always hope someone loves my things. Also would you please consider showing us how you made your felt and wool inserts? I’ve tried to find nice felt but only see thin flimsy felt. Yours looks so LUSH. (LUSHLY) 😉
I moved from a pocket Mr. Darcy Deluxe to an A6 Maverick Deluxe. I put my field notes into the A6 to finish them out and was quite surprised at how well they worked!
I'm glad you like archiving the inks. I don't understand the liking though. I've used fountain pens for more than 50 years. I match ink to barrel almost all of the time. People like different things, so more power to you! I'd rather read, though...
@@adventuredenali so true & I find your style and love of ink and colors refreshing. This is only the 2nd video of yours I've watched. Am new to bullet journaling. Just received my first travelers notebook and I love the leather covers you shared. The buckle is so remarkable. What a gem and honor to your family. I stopped myself from saying this in the first sentence; id that your grey-T?? What a beautiful brindle color and your notebooks coordinate. My daughter has a brindle boy. I was just thinking how my new notebook cover coordinates with my greyhound. You may not see this comment but thank you for sharing your thoughts and journey. I love the bag!
I've been a stalker, um, I mean follower, ever since you showed your A5, omg I fell in love with that chunky monkey! Btw, where is he? I've missed him lol Thanks for sharing all your new journals, and that bag!!!! Great buy!!! ❤️
Yes!!!!! The A5 video sold me on this channel! She is such an inspiration. I almost feel like she's my new virtual Journal Coach lol #CoachDenali you should totally look into that idea and monetize it. I'd be a patron.
I just threw three of those bags into a goodwill donation box. They were a big thing in the 80’s. I got mine in a store that sells stuff from South America. I’d have kept mine, but the straps were pretty shot. Wish I’d known how pricey they have become, I’d have just gotten the straps replaced.
Love your videos. Your voice is so soothing. You make me want to journal daily instead of sporadically as I do now. Question: as I watch these, I see you in different chic sparrows and different sizes and don’t know what you are currently using. In pocket size now? A6? Not sure and I’d like to know your current “love”. What have you decided upon? In one video you said you moved out of pocket size to have more space.
I love the Speckled Fawn journal covers, especially the rustic one they sell that used to be so popular, the name escapes me, kodiak or something... I kept journals as a kid and teen and my mom used to snoop in my room and read them. She wouldn’t tell me she did, she would just throw things in my face now and then, things I had written. I’d always be like, WTF, how does she KNOW that?? So yeah, I have this life long phobia of writing down my feelings, or things I do. When I do, I have to edit, I have to think to myself, what if someone reads this? So really, there is no point. But the leather covers do make good sketchbook covers, and I’m thinking of buying a calendar size for my hobonichi weeks.
Remember to me very much the passion Vittar use to be when reviewing inks, so elocuent and a “voice” so warm they both. Remember to me because the “anyways” use … I feel relaxed when hearing her, to me is kinda yoga pen “lecture” if expression is correct. More soon than later guess this unique woman must jump to 100K suscriptions. Be well and thanks.
Where can I find Mr Darcy Buttered Rum leather journal case? I am in love with it after watching it on your channel but cant seem to find it for purchase.
Thank you for another lovely video. I'm watching some of your older videos now and I'm curious about how you feel about the Tuckaways now, a year later. Do you still use them as much? Or have the Pelikan and Sailors eclipsed the Tuckaways? Happy weekend to you.
Have you tried B6Slim nanami or Md notebook in the B6 Eclass since it is slimmer than Stalogy leaves room to add inserts maybe? I am stuck as well using a B6 Eclass I purchased. I don’t feel the same as I do when I am in a Pocket or A6 size. Again watching your old videos 🤣
Could you do a video on newbie's wanting to get into fountain pens? Like best pens and inks for just starting out and not breaking the bank? I'd love to have at least one, but not sure where to start. Thanks!
Paisley Teal I’ve had experience with the stalogy, and Midori for that size. I have enjoyed them both, and they’re both fountain pen friendly, assuming you’re just daily journaling. If you use super wet or broad nibs, the stalogy may feather or bleed through. The Midori seems a little hardier with the inks, but both are good options. I like the binding on the stalogy a bit more personally.
OK where did you find the pocket sized Leuchtturm. I have a pocket and use field notes in it currently but that will bulk it up a little and I love the Leuchtturms for the hard covers. Great video
I have all these inks, fountain pens, notebooks and papers.. but nothing to write about. Absolutely nothing. And I am now thinking of getting an iPad Pro as well.
P.S. How is your A5 Maverick and Pocket Claire doing? I am currently enjoying a Classic Narrow Maverick w/stitching. It is my third try with this leather and the narrow is a winner!
I love your journals and pens Ihave a fountain pen and the ink is made from saffron 😁 it’s really cool it’s an orange color even a little reddish It was a gift. (If you think saffron is weird thank god it’s not blood!)
If you were referring to the pencil she showed at 5:44, that mostly looks like a r0tring rapid pro mechanical pencil, mostly referred to as a drafting / engineering pencil.
How many Chic Sparrows do you have?? I cannot even afford one (I am in the UK though which bumps up the price but they’re still so pricey) I have big envy x
I was wondering if you've ever tried a rhodia notebook? It's like an inbetween of the Leuchtturm and the tomoe. If you have I'd love your thoughts. I'm currently trying it as my bullet journal.
I would love to see a video about your ink collection or your favorite inks or something like that. I remember a video where you painted the caps of new ink bottles but I can’t find it. Did you delete it or am I just unable to find it? 🙈😂
lovely to see a longer video from you again, I love listening to you:) what is the pocket size that you refer to? does it have an a or b number reference?
Ecuador86 I do have both and I do use A5 still! My Darcy is the keeper of my pen/ink related logs. Sometimes I use it for daily journals too, but rarely these days. My Claire, I’d like to sell, as it doesn’t get used much. I love the Claire leather, but the pocket size is just simply too small. I’m currently writing in an A5 Leuchtturm 1917 again. I go back and forth, enjoying the space to spread out and the simplicity of just carrying a journal without all the covers and accessories. And then, I find my way back to the smaller sizes, and the covers and the accessories once again, haha.
