Good Situations to use Sandbox in Windows 10:
1. Use Windows Sandbox to test the safety of an email attachment. If someone sends you a suspicious file via email, you can open it via Sandbox to see what it is all about without putting your computer in danger.
2. Use Sandbox to when prompted to download a suspicious file when visiting a website. If a website seems suspicious and prompts you to download a file, use Sandbox to test the safety of that file.
Mistakes You Nee to Avoid When Using Sandbox
1. Don't Use Windows Sandbox to test fake or phishing websites. Sandbox is ineffective in such situations, because you are not downloading a file. If you enter your username and password, you account will be in grave danger.
2. Don't confuse Windows Sandbox with your real Windows 10 PC. You can avoid this mistake by making sure wallpaper or background for Sandbox and your actual PC are different.
Additionally, you can use Windows Sandbox in full screen instead, because the connection bar on top will always let you know you that you are in Sandbox. - Наука та технологія

Some Sophisticated malware are designed to hide their malicious content as soon as they detect a Sandbox or a virtual machine. To combat that I use deep freeze standard software. That way the malware cannot detect that I am using some kind of software to prevent permanent installation.

@@Zynphii DeepFreeze and similar software are used for public access computers like libraries, schools etc. In the 'frozen state' any changes made to the computer are reverted when the computer is rebooted. In the 'thawed' state, changes can be made. Example, if you were to download and install a program like Photoshop in the Frozen state you could use the program all you want but as soon as you rebooted the computer it will no longer be there. Similarly if you were to get a virus in your computer that ruined your complete operating system as soon as you reboot computer operating system is restored back to how it was before you got infected. a Sandbox web browser it's almost the same thing. when you install a free program called sandboxie which by the way is the absolute best sandbox software and it's free. You open your web browser using this program. everything that comes through the computer web browser is trapped within the sandbox and when you close your web browser everything is destroyed including any viruses Etc. a sophisticated virus can detect that the sandbox program is installed in your computer. Some people used to install hacked software using a sandbox to see if there was anything malicious inside the program that's why the virus turns off its malicious content when it detects that you're trying to figure out if it's bad or not but as soon as you were to install that program without the sandbox you would get hacked. Like I said the best sandbox program called sandboxie is absolutely free. deep freeze cost money but there are similar Alternatives that are absolutely free. @@giovannii7519 Microsoft has its own unified write filter (UWF) software that is used on Windows terminals (winterms) to maintain state on reboots. They also had an OS based on Windows 7 called steadystate which you might still be able to find.
just tested some kind of new virus "elchupacabra repacks" it will take over your "windows defender" disable all protection by changing permission "contact your it blablabla" even you restart your sandbox its still leave the same status of your "windows defender"
is there another way to download windows sandbox instead of/without enabling it on windows features. because I'm using a laptop with windows 10 home edition? I'm looking for someone who has the windows sandbox .zip file so I can use and run it on my windows 10 home edition pc.
What's your opinion on sandbox & an Avast anti-virus free which I have used for many years & never had any problems 🤔. Or Malwarebytes free antivirus. Should U really trust ether of them & is sand box better than 💭protection🤷🏿♂️.

it would be nice if the user could see exactly what the virus or malware was doing inside the sandbox so the user could know what would have happened if it was put on a regular pc.
You need to be very careful not to consider the sandbox to be a 100% safe environment, because it is not.
It is important to note that Windows Sandbox doesn’t provide network-level isolation. So while malware executed within the sandbox cannot directly access the C: drive of the primary operating system, it can still communicate with other devices on your network. For example, if you were to execute malware containing a worm virus inside the sandbox, it can still scan your network for vulnerable systems and spread to other systems from there.
Then what is it even used for if a worm moving laterally to other machines can't be stopped.
@@TheBlackstarrt I can think of plenty of useful situations where the sandbox would be handy. In fact i have used it just recently to test installation scenarios for software i've been developing. Having easy access to a fresh OS install is handy in all sorts of ways.

Luke, do you know if the RAM is isolated? Can I access memory adresses of the Real OS from the virtual machine?
I scanned system with Malwarebytes and it says zero threats detected so my system is safe?

Do a pcap and analyse the packets in brim and wireshark. Then when you find suspect traffic start checking them in virus total to see if anything comes up on record.

Another thing you should do, is that whenever you are about to test a file in Sandbox, turn your WiFi off on your main PC so that the sandbox doesn't have internet so that way, if its a virus that spreads, it can't spread to other devices on your network.

Yeh the annoying🤦🏿♂️ codes. What a pain. I remember this kind of thing back on XP days & number 7. Don't tell me windows 10 hardware gets this annoying🤔 nonsense. I only just remember removing Bitlocker in my windows 10 notepad, about a week from now, it wasn't impossible at first, but I had to work it out myself🤦🏿♂️, hope it gets better for U soon.

If ever you did something wrong on the bios and it turned black screen reset the bios by removing the cmos and returning it back again it happened to me because i turned to eufi because some vid says it need to but my bios already can turn on virtualization without eufi and i just want to share this so you do not do the same problem i did :>

it probably can’t, mostly just skids scripters, they won’t be able to hyperjack, not quite sure, though.
Yes it's safe the roblox exploit programers are not too level programers so yeah

most free roblox exploits are crypto miners or remote access trojans but they usually wouldn't immediately show on a sandbox

You need to install the latest version of windows which is 1903. If you search for 'windows 1903 upgrade' you should be able to follow your nose. But in addition to that, you need to enable it via add/remove windows components. Sandbox is not enabled by default. Again, a few minutes of googling should set you on the right path.

My way : comodo sandbox or a other great sandbox and launch Virtualbox with it ,before launching all the apps use a vpn with great security i prefer it on the VM and The Host PC because of IP malware, Have a Great AV ex : Bitdefender or Kaspersky on the host system, Use A Good Firewall on the host , and add a secondline of defense .. This is Like overkill but it helps alot I MEAN ALOT
