    Interesting take. Thanks for sharing.
    As an Athesist leaning Agnostic, I agree with a lot of what you say.

    So, let me get this straight.
    -While looking at Elohim, you saw it meant God, and "the true God".
    -You then acknowledge that Elohim can be used as plural intensive (or singular)
    -Then, you see Jehovah (or YHWH) was "the name of the true God"
    -Instead of putting two and two together and seeing YHWH was the name of Elohim (the true God) you decide "let me take the word Elohim, which I know can be used as plural intensive and just disregard the context and say its multiple Gods"
    -All the while saying "I'm not too knowledgeable on this, but I took a couple courses!"

      You don't have to take Genesis as literal, but at LEAST don't try to put your own understanding on scripture like you did here.

      @@ryunosuke8966 Thanks for the comment! Your hesitancy is totally fair. The term "Elohim" can refer to god or gods, but when modified by the word "Jehovah" it becomes the idea of a most high God (noting the capitalization). The term "Elohim" is likely translated as God (uppercase) in Genesis one to avoid the lengthiest footnote in the history of footnotes 😂 When I say I'm not too knowledgeable, I mean I'm not a Bible translator. There are people much smarter than me for that! And when I say I took courses, I'm just being honest about my level of knowledge. I'd much rather folks fact check me and engage in the text than claim authority via the Dunning-Kruger effect. The trinity was not a doctrine at the time so it is not talking about the trinity.
      Not to mention the Jews that wrote the book did not believe in a trinity so you are wrong factually on two ends.
      But also the Trinity makes zero sense and is unsound/illogical.

      Hi Noah, glad to be here! I tried to make it a point to mention that this is how the authors of this text would have made sense of the world around them. Today, I'd say we have a better understanding of what a triune God is, and thus can make better sense of the creation narrative in light of the New Testament

    That was before Moses converted the Egyptian slaves into Israelites.
    He saw the burning bush.
    He then threw the 10 commandments tablets and destroyed paganism.
    The rest of Judea was assimilated by the sword.

    • @ryunosuke8966
      @ryunosuke8966 7 місяців тому

      "assimilated". Not true, they did what was evil in the eyes of God: literally burning babies alive as sacrifices to demons, talking to the dead, false divination, cutting themselves for false idols, etc. Because of this, God told the Israelites to destroy these nations, as in, completely. No one was assimilated. The only nations that survived was the ones they made a peace treaty with (that God did NOT condone).

    • @ryunosuke8966
      @ryunosuke8966 7 місяців тому

      If you think this was unfair, you shouldn't. God did the same thing to the Israelites when they gave him the middle finger and forgot about him when they set up kingdoms and stuff. The Israelites were turning to the demons and false gods and doing the exact same thing the other nations did.

      Sure, maybe it's not. I'm more than willing to be wrong. For me, it's exciting to think there's more to the Bible than what we read at face value, so the context of the authors is something I enjoy exploring

    • @Raiden-the-Goat32

      Actually you are wrong because in 1st temple Jewdaism Jews was split between two sects one that believed in multiple God's and the other Yahweh only.
      The part at the beginning of the book of Genesis is 1st temple Jewdaism and as such reflects that era.

    • @Raiden-the-Goat32

      Point is in one of the stories in Genesis with Adam and Eve being created it uses word's in the Hebrew that show multiple God's not one.
      For example Elohim mean's God's as in plural and the singular form of Elohim is El.
      Also Yahweh was only one of the Elohim not the only one.

    • @ryunosuke8966

      @@Raiden-the-Goat32 No dude, Elohim is almost always used plural intensively. It means "God" or "the True God". This is due to God or Elohim being triune and it's shown in Genesis.
      The Holy Spirit is seen in verse 2: Genesis 1:1-2 - 'In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. '
      Then, when God creates man the Word of the Lord (son) and the Father converse and make man in their image: Genesis 1:26-27 - 'Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. '
      You see how is switches from "our image" to "God created man in his own image" this is due to YHWH (the name for Elohim "the True God") being triune.

      @ryunosuke8966 7 місяців тому

      @@Raiden-the-Goat32 Also, just because the trinity sounds illogical to *you* doesn't mean it's false. God's ways are not our ways, they are above our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). God is all-powerful and above logic (because he created it) and limiting an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient God is also limiting your understanding of him.

    In the beginning there was the Word, and the Word was with 'god' and the Word was 'god'.
    Sodom... Yahweh called down fire from Yahweh in heaven...
    The father cannot enter this realm, so who is the Yahweh in the garden with Adam?
    It's family Yahweh... Yahweh ehohi akhad.
    Multiple family members (father/son(s)) acting as one.
    Get better with your hebrew and use an interlinear and Strongs Concordance and don't relyl on the NIV translations

      Thanks for the tips! I'm very up front about the fact that I'm not an expert in Hebrew. In the video you can see I also have my NASB tab open and I reference Strongs frequently. As for the NIV, i also explained that it's the most commonly used translation, so I want to meet people where they're at at what they might be reading at home. There wasn't a notable difference between the NIV and NASB for this video.
      I'm also curious, where does the Bible say "the father cannot enter this realm"?
