    Question is this: Was God , according to the story, really disturbed or angry at what Humans could do when they work together? There really is no indication he was angry about the Tower being built. For whatever reason, again as the story is told, God simply picked that time to confuse their speech. Other wise he would have stopped Stonehenge, the Pyramids, Hanging Gardens etc.Then again maybe it's just a story.

Because the flesh is the graven image. The flesh is dead! Respectfully we will all be judged for what we say and do. Those that speak out against the son of man (Jesus Christ) will be forgiven, but those that speak out against the wholly Spirit will not be forgiven in this age or the one to come. "assimilated". Not true, they did what was evil in the eyes of God: literally burning babies alive as sacrifices to demons, talking to the dead, false divination, cutting themselves for false idols, etc. Because of this, God told the Israelites to destroy these nations, as in, completely. No one was assimilated. The only nations that survived was the ones they made a peace treaty with (that God did NOT condone).

    So, let me get this straight. -While looking at Elohim, you saw it meant God, and "the true God". -You then acknowledge that Elohim can be used as plural intensive (or singular) -Then, you see Jehovah (or YHWH) was "the name of the true God" -Instead of putting two and two together and seeing YHWH was the name of Elohim (the true God) you decide "let me take the word Elohim, which I know can be used as plural intensive and just disregard the context and say its multiple Gods" -All the while saying "I'm not too knowledgeable on this, but I took a couple courses!"

    • @punpastor
      @punpastor 7 місяців тому

      @@ryunosuke8966 Thanks for the comment! Your hesitancy is totally fair. The term "Elohim" can refer to god or gods, but when modified by the word "Jehovah" it becomes the idea of a most high God (noting the capitalization). The term "Elohim" is likely translated as God (uppercase) in Genesis one to avoid the lengthiest footnote in the history of footnotes 😂 When I say I'm not too knowledgeable, I mean I'm not a Bible translator. There are people much smarter than me for that! And when I say I took courses, I'm just being honest about my level of knowledge. I'd much rather folks fact check me and engage in the text than claim authority via the Dunning-Kruger effect. Point is in one of the stories in Genesis with Adam and Eve being created it uses word's in the Hebrew that show multiple God's not one. For example Elohim mean's God's as in plural and the singular form of Elohim is El. Also Yahweh was only one of the Elohim not the only one.

    • @ryunosuke8966
      @ryunosuke8966 7 місяців тому

      @@Raiden-the-Goat32 No dude, Elohim is almost always used plural intensively. It means "God" or "the True God". This is due to God or Elohim being triune and it's shown in Genesis. The Holy Spirit is seen in verse 2: Genesis 1:1-2 - 'In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. ' Then, when God creates man the Word of the Lord (son) and the Father converse and make man in their image: Genesis 1:26-27 - 'Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. ' You see how is switches from "our image" to "God created man in his own image" this is due to YHWH (the name for Elohim "the True God") being triune.

    • @ryunosuke8966
      @ryunosuke8966 7 місяців тому

      @@Raiden-the-Goat32 Also, just because the trinity sounds illogical to *you* doesn't mean it's false. God's ways are not our ways, they are above our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). God is all-powerful and above logic (because he created it) and limiting an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient God is also limiting your understanding of him.

      There's definitely a benefit to having open, honest discussion about difficult topics. I know I've found airing out what's causing me stress actually makes me less stressed! Even though it doesn't solve my problem, I'm no longer holding in that stress

      Thanks! I figured I'd keep it simple, I didn't want to camp on it for too long

    This is the one I asked about...not knowing it was actually on the roster! But...no calligraphy? No message? Not even a book? That was Paul's whole thing....

    I can't wait until you make Paul, who's proficient in calligrapher's supplies and... no...that's it.

    First of all, I've never seen anyone do Bible characters in D&D before...this is great. Second, I get leaning into the parting the water, that's what Moses is most famous for, and why you went with so many water spells... he HAD to have that spell, no question. But, with that said...I feel making this character, I'd have first leaned into the plagues. With some illusion, summoning...and I know there is a spell Cloak of Flies...I just don't know that Druid's can have it... I know there is a way to perform a lot of the plagues. Also, there should be a simple way to turn a staff into a snake (illusion, polymorph, summon beast?). Also, once you have what you need from Druid, with the WIS and DEX, hop over to Ranger to help lead the freed people for 40 years...that's what rangers are good at, presumably.

      Great points! I might circle back to this concept in another video. Moses does so many cool things in Exodus that I'm not sure I could fit it all in one character. The plagues would be an interesting variation that I'd like to explore; I'll be sure to give you a shoutout when it comes out!

    I’m not sure I agree with Moses being a Druid. To me, he’s almost the perfect definition of a Warlock: Moses himself doesn’t have any magical abilities, but he has an agreement with God that allows him to use God’s power in specific ways.

      I totally agree; when I was building these characters, the aim was more thematic than lore accurate 😂 just about every character could end up being a warlock, cleric, or paladin otherwise
