      @@scarthumb7835 granted, but the V8 is two 4 cylinder banks side by side, the straitgh 6 adds 2 more cylinders to the 4 cylinder bank making it “longer” add the inline 6 and you’ll have to move the radiator somewhere’s else unless you add a couple of inches to the front end.

    Dealers in my area have a lot of 2024's with the 2.0L. I would say 3 to 1 they have 2.0s over 3.6s. And, dealers in my area are not budging on the 2024's yet, they are only discounting whatever Jeep is offering, not much else. So, this makes sense that Jeep is going to slow roll the 2025s to help dealers move the 2024s.

    I will keep my JKU forever. I had the option to get a JLU or 4xe for the same price. I chose the JKU because it has less computers to break and I rightly guessed that the 4xe would have issues. I don't recommend buying a first generation engine. As far as the JLU, I just finished a year of fighting electrical issues on my Audi S5 and less computers under the hood is what I want. Also, I always replace the factory stereo on my vehicles. I added a backup and front facing camera with a 13" head unit that plays video and runs apps for under $500. I did the work myself and 1.5 years later everything works perfect. The head unit replacement was the best decision I made so far and I've done a lot to this jeep. Plus, I sold the old one and got $200 back. You could buy a JLU for $30k and have a monster if you put another $30k into it!

    why did they have to change the grill? the JL was perfect when it showed up in 2018. It had more of that TJ look. The JK with its stubby grill slots, boxy front, doesnt look as good as a TJ or JL (pre facelift)

    • @scarthumb7835
      @scarthumb7835 20 днів тому

      This grille fits the radiator better and has been bringing down coolant temps on people running the ecodiesel when they swap out the old grille for this one. It doesn't allow as much air to go around the side of the radiator. They also wanted to refresh the front end. Almost every manufacturer does this about halfway through the life cycle of a vehicle before a redesign

    • @rmat9023
      @rmat9023 20 днів тому

    • @scarthumb7835
      @scarthumb7835 20 днів тому

      @rmat9023 it's mostly behind the actual grille face. They have better channeling behind it and are closing up gaps around the radiator which forces air to go through it instead of around it. We did the same thing on a FSAE race car at my university last year. Dropped coolant temps by 20°F in both cases

    • @Jason-Samko
      @Jason-Samko  15 днів тому

      @archangelmichael8620 maybe. And I have zero complaints about the 2.0. But I believe the 3.6 to be one of the best motors ever made. And what anyone's thinks or believes is not relevant to my purchase decision. Factually the 3.6 is one of the most reliable v6 motors made with 14 million on the road and less than 1% failure rate. I will buy the 3.6 again. And then after I will buy it again, and then probably again.

    Jeep engineers should dump the V6 due to the dry start issues and go back to the straight six that was installed years back. It was bulletproof. Got rid of my 2022 due to dry starts and spinning the bearings. That engine had 7500 miles. Crap engine….

      It totally will be. RAM and Jeep funded the entire Stellantis group for the last few years. Practically almost all their profit came from these two brands for the 14-brand group. This is why it hit them so hard that in 2024 the golden goose stopped laying eggs in North America.

    • @phantom0456
