Thanks Nathan. Good on you for supplying the local community. It amazes me that those big bulls can soak up two or three rounds. Rigby 416 isn't exactly short of wallop!
I got home from work, cracked a cool refreshing beverage, saw that you had new content and proceeded to live vicariously through you and your mate Steve. What a way to end the day, bloody fantastic. Thanks Jason for taking us all on such a memorable endeavour and good camera work under pressure from Steve too, just quietly. Cheers gentlemen.🍻
Looks like the buff numbers are picking up. I was living in the Top End in the late '80's after the BTEC scheme was conducted and we used to see more crazy scrub bulls then buffalo. Me and two mates out riding our motorbikes had an interesting incident with some heli shooters one time, but that's a long story. Love your work.
Great video Nath, having lived in the NT for close to 10 years and taking more buff then I’ve had hot dinners, that bull you took in the mangroves is an outstanding animal. It’s good to see some hunting footage to break up the culling. Hope to see more mate
Congratulations on a fantastic bull Nathan. As you mention in video, hunting any of the bovines in the mangrove areas would be a very exciting hunt. Great to see the Rigby strutting its stuff👌
Nathan that was awesome mate the Rigby looks stunning very envious great hunt gentlemen I got a sense of how large the buffalo are when the rifle was across its horns well done 👍🦘🇦🇺
Awesome Ep and spots and Buffs and pigs guys. I hunt a few scrub bulls up Cape York they to seem to prefer that saltgrass on the flats around the mangroves. If the hard country behind is not burnt, Then there on the green pick.
Nice scenery, nice rifles, nice shooting and nice trophies to go with the memories. (Sigh) really should go and do this stuff while we're able, and not just physically either!
Thank you! 😀

Thanks! Yes there does seem to a robust population currently 👍🐃
40+ years ago, aged 19, we caught a scrubber bull from a horse. Never forgotten, and still hanker after the top end.
Wow, those are big animals…. Well done lads!

Awesome video! What make is your friend Steve's .500?
Regards from the States.
He is running a Merkel 140 AE. He shoots it very well 👍🐃
AUD15/round is pretty cheap insurance.
Indeed it is. 👍🐃
Could have been a very interesting video, sadly it has no volume.
