  • Seimone Augustus. 4x WNBA Champion. 2011 WNBA Finals MVP. 8x WNBA All-Star. 2012 All-WNBA First Team. 5x All-WNBA Second Team. 2006’s WNBA Rookie of the Year. 3x Olympic gold medalist (2008 in Beijing, 2012 in London, and 2016 in Rio) and a gold medalist at the 2014 Basketball World Championship in Turkey. She is also a 2x EuroCup winner and in 2009, won EuroCup MVP and was a Turkish Cup winner. Her college credentials are equally as impressive: 2x Wade Trophy winner, 2x Naismith Player of the Year, 2x Wooden Award winner, 2x SEC Player of the Year, and she is one of only 9 player who have won the Honda Sports Award for basketball multiple times. Seimone is 11th on the WNBA All-Time scoring list (just two points away from being in the top 10). She was also chosen as one of the WNBA’s Top20@20, which is a list of the league’s 20 best players in celebration of the WNBA’s 20th anniversary.
Augustus in an absolute artist with the basketball. Her hellacious handle continues to make her a lethal weapon in the league. She's got such an insane in-between game that it's no surprise she goes by Money Mone.
As great as she is and has been in her career as a 1 on 1 scorer, she has always done a little bit of everything - she's been a top notch defender, a willing playmaker, and as outstanding an off ball mover as any coach would ever ask for.
Simply put: Seimone is a killer on the court, even now at 36 years old. Most of these clips are from 2017 going forward, so this highlight reel is basically just of her in her mid 30s. THINK ABOUT THAT.
From Chris Paul: "Oh yea and Seimone Augustus is a PROBLEM...her handle is sooooooo nice, which makes her almost impossible to guard!"

Also in case you are new to the WNBA, the Minnesota Lynx won FOUR championships in 7 years. 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017. Seimone won Finals MVP during their first championship.
In case you haven't seen it yet, VICE Sports has a great video on The Second Jobs of WNBA All-Stars (because you know, wage gap) and this one details Seimone's time in Russia:
