i got my Luka v4x at big fish audio and it came within two days, (she's my second voicebank first being Miku v3 bundle) and i like her voice. piapro studio can be a pain but it is worth it as i'm currently making my first original song :D

I love luka
From what I know Paipro Studio is just a pain to use all the time. So that is why its just better the VOCALOID4 editor. Also you should really get Sweet Ann or Avanna for your first Western Vocaloid. They are pretty cheap and not so hard to turn. Avanna being one of the easiest next to Big Al. One more thing YES I'M SO READY TO HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT QUEEN CYBER_DIVA!
One, Cyva is my fav vocaloid!
Two, he is going probably going to get a new Western Vocaloid, like Ruby or another one.
piapro is glitchier and can have issues but it is much more streamlined and better set out and sinse it's in a daw you have better tools for originals and mixing I much prefer it to the editor

Luka looks like she came with some of the same stuff my Miku v3 came with.
I think that placard is for instructions for Mac users to get her working on their computer.
I have Luka V4X, but no vocaloid 4 engine, so I've been using piapro. I haven't activated her, and now piapro isn't letting me! How do I activate her?
Try searching your C:\ drive for a program called Activate4.exe. It may be in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\VOCALOID4\Activator" directory. Since I already had Vocaloid4 installed before I installed Luka V4X, I don't know if Luka V4X gives you a copy of that file in that directory. If it does, that's what you want to use to activate her. Please try that and let me know if it works/doesn't work.
Ah. Thanks! For some reason it didn't install when I first downloaded her so I had to do it again, and it fixed the activator. I followed your advice to find the file, glad you helped me sort it out!

How to buy piapro studio?
every time i try to install my VB it says “Error -5001” and that i should finish setup or close all other applications. i already have Studio One installed

Is there anyway for me to get piapro without buying a v4x bundle?
So I bought the Hatsune Miku Vocaloid 4 English Bundle, and first installed everything under the Crypton Future Media folder on the disc, and then the setup file that was in the "HATSUNE MIKU V4X Installer" folder. I activated the serial number, and can't find Vocaloid anywhere in my program files aside from the activator. How the hell did it instantly work for you, but not for me?
Is Windows 10 just not compatible or something? This is confusing because I'm certain Windows 10 is listed on the disc.
You must use Piapro Studio (included with all V3/V4 Vocaloids from Crypton Future Media) to use any Vocaloid voice bank if you don't have the VOCALOID editor itself. Piapro Studio is an alternative VOCALOID4 editor, but it only works as a VST with DAW software like FL Studio, Steinberg Cubase or Studio One.
With the Miku V4X bundle, you have with her 6 Voicebanks a license for Studio One and the Piapro Studio editor, so you have everything you need to start creating what you want with Miku.
Also hi could you make a video of the cevio vocaloid call one or on nee!!! She's coming out in may sometime could you tell us about her in one of your videos also the vocaloid lorra and ling will be released in the fall of this year I think they officially have voice bank providers so see what you can find out about these new up and coming vocaloids what little info I found was on there wiki page!!!!! heather weddle I plan to do a part 2 of my Voiceroid video and it will include the non-Voiceroid speech synthesis things like Megpoid Talk and ONE! I really like ONE, she is so cute. And yes I have a friend who is very excited for the upcoming Chinese Vocaloids (Ling and Lorra), she is keeping me up to date on their progress. : )

I have had an unusual problem with my V4 Vocaloids when I try to load them on the computer. I get to the enter the serial number and nothing happens after that? I haven't been able to find a solution yet. The down load process just stops happening.
carnotrankine I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. You enter serial numbers to activate voicebanks, not download them. Installation shouldn't require a download, unless you're trying to download digital voicebanks you've purchased. But I assume that's done via the company's website (like AH-S's site if you have an AH-S voicebank) and I wouldn't know how to help with that. You might try contacting the company's support email address.
Hey I need some help I'm trying to register my miku v4 and V4 English as well I already got studio one but I am trying to also install piapro studio on my mac is there a way to register the codes on the orange paper on the crypton site?
You need to create an account at www.crypton.co.jp/mp/ and then go to www.crypton.co.jp/mp/do/mypage/license/registration to register your product. Yes, it's in Japanese. I think you need to do this if you want to download the OSX version of the voicebanks (at least I assume they're not on Miku's DVD since they aren't on my copy of Rin and Len's DVD). That should also let you download the most recent version of Piapro Studio, but if you can't find the download link for Piapro Studio after registering, you can also get it from here: www.bigfishaudio.com/detail.html?1;24;1::::::::511972;513131:::D511972;D513131::531186 Click the "Details" tab and there will be a link to download Piapro Studio. It includes both the OSX and Windows installers.
Alright I have the physical copy which has the installation for piapro studio and it also has the installation for the miku Voice banks which I'm trying to also figure out how to install on the Mac but the file I need to find a converter software to properly open the files to install the voice banks and I did register my account on the crypton site but as I go to register my product the site asked me to enter like my street address but I don't know how the Japanese ZIP Code system works do you think you can help me on that so I know what to do?
I just put in a fake address, I think I googled around and found some random business's address in Japan and used that. As for the voicebanks, I'm afraid I have no experience using Macs so I can't give specific help. But if Miku's package is like Rin and Len's and Luka's, then inside the box there should have been some square-shaped pieces of cardboard the size of the DVD case. it should list a URL to go to to get the Mac voicebanks.

so I really need some help and it with Luka 4X Piapro is not showing up in studio one I can not see the file or piapro studio ViSt anywhere idk how to get piapro back in there this has never happen before when I first got her it worked fine but now its not in there anymore ! pleas I need help from anyone !
+MMDbuddy Go to your C:\Program Files\Crypton\Piapro Studio VSTi x64\ directory (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Crypton\Piapro Studio VSTi\ if you use the 32-bit version) and run the updater. See if that helps. If those directories don't exist, then you'll have to try reinstalling Piapro Studio first.
I tried this already but it seems to crash or open but then close as soon as I try dose this mean I have to go through sonicwire or just reinstall piapro all together ? I will try and uninstall piapro and reinstall it to see if that works . another question I know this is a lot I am sorry but dose piapro work on windows 10 ?
It does work with Windows 10, as far as I know. If you just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8, that might explain why it stopped working? You may have to reinstall Studio One first, then reinstall Piapro Studio. Just remember to log in to MyPreSonus to deactivate your current installation before you reinstall and reactivate it.

Jon Kociol I have seen some posts of a Teto English! I have not listened to her songs yet but it does pique my curiosity : ) If you're asking where to download her English voicebank, I believe you can find it here: kasaneteto.jp/en/voicebank.html the first voicebank link should be the English voicebank. (You have to click the picture.) The TTEnglishHelper download seems to be a dictionary file which will convert common words into phonemes. As for doing a video, I will consider it! I'll need to look into it more, I'm not even sure when her English voicebank was added or if it's just a beta release, for example.

+Andrew macmillan If you don't have the Vocaloid 4 Editor then the only way to use Luka V4X is to use Piapro Studio, which means you will need a DAW. So you will need to register at PreSonus to get your free copy of Studio One Artist Piapro Edition. The activation/serial keys for both Luka and Studio One are on colored paper cards in Luka's box. The one with Luka's serial should be colored orange, if I remember right.

Did you install Piapro Studio as well? If you did, you should have a Piapro Studio VSTi.dll file in your C:\Program Files\Vstplugins directory. If that directory doesn't exist, you probably didn't install it yet.

+Carrot Team Channel Yes, I just had to do this myself as I had to repair my computer and so some programs like Studio One considered my computer "new" and complained. It's easy to fix, though. Log in to my.presonus.com and click on My Products on the top right. Click on the icon for Studio One Artist OEM, to go to its page. Click "Manage Activations" and it should show your activation on your old computer. Click "Remove" and it will remove that activation from your account. Then you just copy/paste your serial into Studio One to reactivate it. Easy!

+Andrew macmillan I'm sure you can use any of the versions of Studio One that you want to, if you're willing to buy them yourself. But Crypton's free serial keys are for "Studio One Artist: OEM", which I believe is based on Studio One version 2.

+Andrew macmillan I'm not sure how to do it in Piapro Studio, but try double clicking on Luka's face icon in the top left of the Piapro Studio window, to select your Vocaloid/voicebank. It may have instructions on how to activate the voicebank there.

Is Studio One necessary if I'm going to buy the VOCALOID 4 Editor?
I need some help. I have no experience on dealing with DLL files or installing voicebanks in general so I am so confused. So, I downloaded Hatsune Miku V4x Demo from the SONICWIRE website just to see how it goes. After the installation, I extracted my files and then I chose the 32 bit Crypton Installer. and then when it comes to downloading PiaproStudio using its installer, it creates a folder on both of my program files (normal and the other) with a PiaproStudio VSTi but in a DLL file form. What is the next step? Is the Demo outdated?
No, the Demo is not outdated but the Demo does not come with Studio One, so you basically download the Piapro Plug-in but you still need to have some Audio Program to run the Plug-in.
I did everything I could to not have to go through any issues, but I failed. T_T I got Studio one and all the voice banks for Rin and Len V4X, and Miku V3 downloaded. Then I went to update piapro and there was an error. No it won't open unless I update it, and I cannot not get to the update on sonicwire because it is locked. How did you link your sonicwire and crypton accounts??? I can't get the update from big fish audio either because their most recent one is quite old.
+Turtle5598 To link accounts, create an account at crypton and then one at sonicwire. On sonicwire go to change your user info (hover over your email address at the top right after you've logged in and click "Change User Info") and there should be a section there to link to a crypton account by typing in the username/email addy for the crypton account. It's been a long time since I did this so you might have to start it on the crypton account and link your sonicwire account to it, I forget which one you start with. But it should be straightforward if you know how to read katakana. As for the bigfishaudio update, they have version 2.0.3.7 which was only released last month. Current version is 2.0.3.9, and it's not that different. So get the BFA update and try it.

Andrew macmillan I don't see any V4 Starter Packs for Cyber Diva so no, she does not come with the V4 Editor, you will need to purchase that separately. You need Cubase and the Vocaloid 4 Editor for Cubase if you are using a Mac computer. If you're using Windows then the normal V4 Editor is fine.

Andrew macmillan Good luck! Just remember that Luka's English won't be as good as Cyber Diva's since Cyber Diva's voice provider is a native English speaker. If you want to make English songs/covers I would highly recommend getting an English Vocaloid. There are 3 American English V4 Vocaloids coming soon as well, two female and one male.

No. Luka V4X comes with Piapro Studio, which you can use instead of Yamaha's Vocaloid4 Editor.

Zephyr - P So I can make better and more informative videos! If I know how Vocaloid works then I'll be in a much better position to explain it, right? Of course I would like to make use of the voicebanks so that I feel less guilty about how much they cost ^_^; I'm hoping to score an inexpensive used USB/MIDI keyboard so I can start practicing the piano again. But I'd probably just end up doing covers regardless.

Esper -P That... is a good question. I really don't know! I looked around and couldn't find an obvious answer. I already had the V4 Editor installed when I installed Luka V4; if you don't have the V3 or V4 Editors installed, then installing Luka V4X may install some tiny editor files, or perhaps at least the activation.exe file. I am sure there's a way to do it but all of my instructions are in Japanese ^_^;
