Thanks! Any idea what to do if the camera doesn't release the black slide after loading film? The battery is fully loaded and the camera worked the first time a few months ago...

Manual says: make sure to put the battery first before loading film.
Just safely open the back of cam then close it again. Or remove battery then put it back

Have you tried new batteries? If not you will have to do it manually in the dark so the film doesnt get ruined.
