    My frustration comes from the Catcher bringing every pitch to the middle...

      But its irrelevant. Framing has been a thing for decades. If its STILL impacting umpires, that says more about the quality of training or quality of umps.

    I’m putting that on the catcher. He caught the ball and dropped it over a foot. That makes it look like you think it’s a ball.

    I gotta believe the catcher screwed his pitcher in those calls. If he didn't yank the glove down to the lower zone, it looks a lot better.

      Exactly what I was going to say! But I also say Stroman has made a career of running his mouth and causing teammates to have to protect him. He should have been tossed also.

      @@bc5852 The truth is the truth. I agreed that I believe the catcher caused the calls by dropping his glove so much that it made it look like even the catcher didn't believe it was a strike. The rest is my comment on Stroman's personality, and I'm sure a lot of other people would agree. He always runs his mouth, and Boone was trying to cover for him. I don't care if you don't like hearing the truth, but I have seen him run his mouth too many times causing his teammates to step in to keep him from getting an ass beating.

    That ump was horrible, but it cost the Braves way more than the Yankees. Ball called when Morton painted a corner cost the Braves 2 runs in the 1st, and a missed call in the 6th indirectly led to 3 runs scored against Aaron Bummer.

    I feel like baseball players are grown men who don't to be "protected" by another man in the way that baseball commentators talk about but hey that's just me.

    • @Where2bub
      @Where2bub 6 днів тому

      That’s the game. It’s always been that way. Protection from losing a player and possible suspension, it’s good managing, it protects the whole team, stops them from losing. I think you’re getting hung up on the word “protection” we aren’t talking about sticks and stones, we are talking about losing a player and making the team worse for it.
