Me, my mom, dad and sister got to meet Bozo, Cookie and Frazier Thomas at the Santa's Village in East Dundee in the early 80s. They did some type of stage show. And then after everybody got to meet them. They were nice.
My mother in law ordered tickets for Bozo's Circus as soon as she learned I was pregnant. We got the tickets and went when my son was 4. The studio was tiny and the music was loud! The Circus act that day was a man with preforming poodles. I think I enjoyed it more than my son did!
I remember Bozo from my childhood and was a part of our cable (in downstate Illinois) since I was a small kid. I loved watching Ray Rayner in the mornings and watched Bozo at noon - when I was at home. I miss Ray. He did a wonderful job.
I was on the Bozo show in 1977/78 I was chosen to play a game where I had a partner and had to wrap him in toilet paper like a mummy. We won a box of Suzie Q's and a tootsie roll bank full of candy. I still have my Bozo and Cookie buttons!
I am looking for the song by bozo the clown in the 1960's called Belinda's Rainy Day. It was on the B side of a 45 record I got for Christmas. Does anyone know how I could go about hearing it again? Pretty sure that was the title song.
In Southern California during the 60s Bozo was on channel 5 KTLA. And on channel 7 KABC there was Chucko's Circus. With Chucko the Birthday Clown. Ah..... memories.
I was in the Bozo audience in 1976 with my mother. I wanted to play the Grand Prize Game so badly but the Magic Arrows didn't fall my way. I recall that when Mr. Ned says "Who's your favorite clown," there is often some kid in the background yelling "Cookie" just to be different.
While I never went to see a taping of Bozo I did eventually get the chance to meet Joey D'Auria who was the Second person to do Bozo and the one that i grew up watching. I'm subscribed to Abdullahsmash026 on UA-cam and I learned that not only would Abdullahsmash026 be at The AMC Randherst Theater for a showing of Yokai Watch The Movie but Joey D'Auria one of the main voice actors in the anime was going to be appearing and signing autographs with Abdullahsmash026 and it was sanctioned by the creators of the franchise Level 5. I literally found it out the night before it so I was originally intending to go to see the movie at Century Theater in Downtown Evanston but I had to change my plans and chose AMC Randherst to see it which I had to take Lyft there which was worth it. I did meet Joey D'Auria which was technically my first time meeting a voice actor but I got a childhood dream come true meeting Bozo The Clown in person the clown who was my childhood idol and I finally got to meet him 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆. It still feels like a dream that never happened but it did happen and I have proof.
I am a sentimental kinda guy. growing up in the 70's and 80's. boy, I tell you. this gets you thinking about a bygone era. Family Classic was a time on Sunday afternoons the whole family would watch T.v together. nowadays families are in different rooms of the same house, doing different things. one watching T.v,. another on the cell phone, this one on a laptop, and another on an I. Pad.
Also, I enjoy the peace of bozo cookie, the clown and Wizo I remember years ago I met all them I forgot how but I was at a signing somewhere I think and I was able to meet them and get their signature and it was years ago but it was awesome to meet those people celebrities I called them
I remember going to the bozo show… I wanted to see cookie and shank his hand ..😄 my mom was at the laundry mat with her friend and saying look my daughter on tv…to everyone 😂

You know maybe someday a toy company like LEGO, Mattel, or even Hasbro can be the 1st toy company ot own this legendary station and revamped it as Chicago's 1st TV station built and create by kids, for kids, and to kids, just as long they don't get rid of the news that's for the grown ups.
There are two photos of Dick("Two Ton")Baker..as "The Happy Pirate"..that is seen at the start of this tribute to WGN TV Ch.9 Chicago,Ill.'s kids tv shows.
Hey, I was told that there was a young man named Maddox that played the handlebars on the bozo show, could you please look it up and play it in the morning. Please and thank you
He was on when I started watching. I remember seeing Wizzo once, and I remember Cooky also was in the credits, but I never saw him since Roy Brown was having health problems at that time.
Chicago Version of Bozo's Cartoon Classics featuring Bugs Bunny and Friends, Superman, Batman, Popeye & Pals, The Pink Panther and Friends, Mighty Mouse, Heckle & Jeckle, Bozo & Pals, and More Saturday Morning Cartoons
WHY why why aren't there these shows right now? Saturdays became "edutainment" and boring as hell. Bring 'em back! There's a half century of old cartoons waiting to transport new kids. Run toy ads! Did you see how toy sales bottomed out without TV kids programming?
Well Done WGN, well done. Thank you for the memories. Moved me to tears.
man this was my childhood. born in 56, wgn was one of 4 stations ! WOW 😂❤
Me, my mom, dad and sister got to meet Bozo, Cookie and Frazier Thomas at the Santa's Village in East Dundee in the early 80s. They did some type of stage show. And then after everybody got to meet them. They were nice.
This was a flash of my childhood . Great times, Chicago .
I watched Bozo every morning before school after we got cable in Los Angeles in the late 70's. Thanks for the memories.
El. Bolo
To hear Bob Bell use his natural voice while being interviewed in full Bozo attire was a rarity.

I still have my Bozo buttons
I would watch Bozo before school every morning & I grew up in Houston. Thanks WGN
I'm in Houston too. I remember watching on weekend mornings.
My mother in law ordered tickets for Bozo's Circus as soon as she learned I was pregnant. We got the tickets and went when my son was 4.
The studio was tiny and the music was loud! The Circus act that day was a man with preforming poodles.

WGN is an American treasure.

I particularly liked Joey D'Uria's voice as Bozo. I watched the show every morning in the early 80s before going to school.

When TV was good!!!
Joey was the Bozo. He has a gift:)
Too Bad WGN No longer has Children's programing weekdays.
Does anyone remember "Spiffy The Clown?" He was on the show for a brief amount of time and he's never mentioned in any of these segments.
He was on when I started watching. I remember seeing Wizzo once, and I remember Cooky also was in the credits, but I never saw him since Roy Brown was having health problems at that time.

Why is none of this on a DVD?
