This game is a game from my childhood I have played a ton of and it recently got an update to work with Windows 10. This game defined my childhood, nobody has done anything better till date.
I finished this game a few times, quicksave and quickload are present besides what you said. About the review, you are right on spot sir!

I've been playing this game for over 11 years now, I mean that I have played it so many times that I know every single thing in this xD my favourite childhood game!

Ah, my childhood. Used to struggle through the demo level as a wee kid, but i loved it nonetheless.
As a teen i pirated the portable cutscene-less version and loved it too, though that means i didn't get the story.
Glad to say i owned it on steam now.
Desperados 2 and Helldorado are rather inferior products, and much less memorable and jankier overall. In the end, Desperados 1's sprites aged the best over the sequels.
I have great hopes for the upcoming Desperados 3 though, Mimimi studios did a great job with Shadow Tactics.

Lol that intro reference. I always found that singer's voice irritating and mesmerizing at the same time.
Just finished the game. I'm not a fan of 'wild west' setting at all, but I have to admit this game was pretty good. I also played Robin Hood - Legend of Sherwood and Chicago 1930, all 3 made by the same company, but this one is the most tactical and hardest I think, sometimes frustrating, but quite varied gameplay with so many different choices due to the numerous character abilities. Decent story as well.
Bruh, F5 is quicksave and F8 is quickload... taking a minute to check the keyboard shortcuts in the menu and you would've known...

this one sometimes is less punishing when you want to just go full crazed gunman mode.
Since i have watch the new trailer, i just get the dust out of the booksheelf, so many memories

I like to think its more Indieretro. I play newer games mostly indie (not triple A very much) and I only recently started doing more older games.

I loved this game back in the day. Unfortunately I have never finished it. I got stuck as even though I love these types of games I was very bad at them.
Thankfully nowadays I play them a little better and managed to beat Shadow Tactics.
Shadow Tactics was great. The same company who made that game plans to release Desperados 3 on June 16th 2020. If you want to play an updated version of this game.

4:40 - It has quick save option. F5 is default hotkey for quick save and F8 is default hotkey for quick load.
Played it when I was 12. Now I'm 31. Quick question. Is it easier playing it now that you're older or has modern tactical games liked desp 3 toned down? I played desp 3 recently and it seemed very easy.
This game for me still presented a challenge and I am 35. The training levels were pretty easy. I think they toned it down a bunch with Desperados 3 which is a shame. Cause I liked the challenge.
@@TheSteelGrizzly exactly what I thought! In the first one I remember struggling after Sanchez missions. The new one is too easy. And man why didn't they include Sam???
@@FM1990FM They did change it up a lot. Swapped out some characters. I need to fully playthrough it again. I plan to on here someday soon.
I played this when i was about 15 and could never get halfway through without cheating. Replaying it now at 35 and im on the final mission. Its definetly been a bit easier as an adult lol
If it wasn't because of some major and miner issues with the artificial intelligence of the enemies, it would've been a 10 out of 10. But it has a little bug that makes the game look broken and so easy. I wasn't annoyed by it when I didn't know about it. But when I realized that you could leave a trail of dead bodies around to lure the enemies to wherever you want and they just fall for it all the time, it just didn't feel like it. I mean it just made it feel like cheating.
