In Germany 🇩🇪 , the situation is more favourable for work visa holders( you must not be a citizen nor a permanent resident) to enjoy all the benefits. Each working parent is entitled to in all 3 years paid parental leave plus child benefit. The Maternity leave for the expecting mums start as from 6weeks before delivery till about 8 weeks after delivery(100% salary is paid during this time). After deducting the period of maternity leave from the 3 years parental leave, she still has the remaining time for herself( 65% Salary will be paid).
Waoh! That sound really really good,it’s really hard having babies in the UK especially for single mothers without citizenship.
Thank you so much for sharing.
I can imagine. The system here actually encourages people to have babies 👶. Less I forget, you also pay lesser taxes as a mum.
Waoh! While here, the larger your family the more council tax you pay.
We don't have council tax here. I guess all the services it covers are already taken care of in our utility bills and salary taxes.
Thank you so much for this video. My cousin got a care job, she got a mail that her cos is being processed and a date has been given to her. She is 7weeks pregnant and yet to tell her employer because she is scared that they might not give her the cos. She is prepared and really wants to make the trip but scared that they might not grant her if she disclosed it at this moment. Pls advice
Thank you so much for this video , I’m a registered nurse working with nhs (OSCE passed), I came to the Uk pregnant, I resumed 31st March 2022 while my Expected date of delivery is 26th September, 2022 , that’s barely 6 months ;
I’m aware I’m not entitled to maternity pay from my employer, but pls am I entitled to maternity allowance from the government?????
Thank you so much for your help , it will go along way in helping a stressed confused person ! Thank you
Wow. Great information.
Please my wife Has been working with the NHS as a band 5 nurse for the past 12 months. Now she is 4 months pregnant. She got a new job as a Band 6 Senior staff nurse with ANOTHER NHS.
Please i want to know will she be entitled to the Maternity pay and leave?
i haven't been working with employers for one year, what if I get self employed now that I'm pregnant? will I get maternity allowance?
Was looking for this so badly! Thanks x Just wondering what happens if Im on a temporary ongoing contract job ( with the recruitment agency) Am I still entitled for maternity leave or pay? X
I don’t really know what your maternity will look like if you are not in a full time job but your contract will detail it,I know as long as you are employed you are entitled to maternity leave but the benefits may differ.
I was in your position and I wasn’t entitled to Maternity pay but I got Statutory maternity pay
I am currently on my maternity leave and I’m getting paid statutory maternity pay yeah ! Which is not bad at all, my contract ended in April but they will be paying me for 9 months by law , maybe every job is diff but I did ask and they said bcs I left while my contract was ongoing they will still pay me until my maternity leave ends
Thank you for this information, please how about a student who comes in pregnant or who becomes pregnant during studies? Or after studies.
You don’t get maternity entitlement because you are not in a full time work.
@@GloriaOtikor thank you for the reply
Hello Gloria, what about a student that is pregnant before coming over
No paid maternity leave if you are not in a permanent job.
www.cam.ac.uk/files/inner-images/student_pregnancy.pdf
Hi Gloria, please will nhs be paid the statutory maternity pay plus the half pay for the 18weeks or just the half pay?
Also, is the half pay taxable?
Thank you.
Just the half-pay, every income above the minimum wage get taxed.
Suppose one wants to relocate to U.S after working in UK,How is the transformation like.
You will need to find out the process,I have no idea.
Pls does this SMP apply to all NHS trust or does it depend on a particular NHS policy
Like I knew someone that work with NHS ,she started work in June 2021,and her expected date of delivery is May 2022 and the trust is saying she is not still eligible
What can she do pls?
All NHS
Thanks
international students eligible for maternity pay? my visa states "no public fund" but i am working as a part-timer what should i do
No you are not eligible because you are not working, employers pay for maternity pay, plus no public fund.
Honestly what is with this people and not replying mails or even acknowledging that they've received a mail.
Smile, they might have too many to attend to.
Does a part time worker have maternity leave pay benefits pls?
You may be entitled to some pay and benefits as long as it’s not agency, and you have have worked for the employer for the required period.
Pls sis can I take my child to uk without me have uk passport
Yes,But you will need visa for you both.
Kk but wen I get it without de uk passport I bring my child right
Can one do agency job while on maternity leave?
once you do your return to work
Is it true that there's paternity leave also
Yes, you can share the one year with your partner.
Is the English test written or oral??
Speaking,listening,writing and reading
Can one resume before the 1yr elapse?
Also, during the 3months unpaid maternity leave can someone get a part-time job?
You can do return to work during the last 3 months and work as bank, agency or go back to your own work.
Okay nice thanks. This is really explanatory
Welcome
Almost the same question. Can the nurse decide to return to work let's say after 4 months of maternity leave, and will she still get her mat money and salary or the will stop the mat money. Then sis the baby she gave birth to will the child become citizen. And will the mat money increases or will still be same if she gives birth to twins. Then finally what if in a situation where the nurses losses her baby,is she still entitled to the mat money and leave. Thanks so much.God bless
