Yeah that's the real problem. People are too easily influenced. That and they want to be internet famous so bad they'll do anything. Not saying that's everyone but it's enough people to be a problem.
Agree with you. Lupe Fiasco has a much better song on the same subject. Lyrically, musically and with more replay value. But honestly this song won't appeal to most of the audience it was written for, sonically it wont draw them in. Nice try Tom but if you don't succeed try again. Also has to do with a lack of personal responsibility and a strong moral will, something that is not taught or learned by the youth today. Teach your kids that and they can listen and hear anything and it wont influence them in a negative way. Ok off my soapbox lol
Children and teens don't see the difference. They see their favorite rappers doing drugs, carrying guns, shooting at their rivals and so they have to do it too. Not only to "be" like the rapper but to impress their friends. It's very sad but very very true. Look at all the shootings in poor neighborhoods, the overdoses the STDs and teen pregnancies, lives ruined in prison for murder or lives ended by it. It's an epidemic. Maybe it didn't effect you like that... Maybe you had a good head on your shoulders or an amazing role model. Many kids never had that. Who knows but not every kid follows the same path. These children are brainwashed by this type of music in all genres. It's time for a change. Thank you Tom McDonald. Sorry I went on a bit of a rant there.

You really are quite hilarious. I think you would make a great comedian. I have not been to your channel for a while but I know you will say something that will make me laugh my ass off. Ty FOR REAL!
People..... please stop letting other think for you. The "PARENTS" need to be parents. Don't let your child run around with your phone, don't give them internet permission or access to adult content, don't let them watch Rated-R movies. I understand they may go to a friend's house and view something here or there, and they also have/had school where they see and hear things. Don't do drugs or drink in front of your children. Don't promote violence etc etc etc. I've listened to rap all my life and I'm pushing 40. I didn't grow up to be a degenerate. Stop blaming others for you not being parents. If your daughter wants to be a stripper, your fault. If your children want to be gang-bangers.....your fault. No one ever said parenting was easy. It takes more than just giving them food and sending off to school and bed. If you're influenced by entertainment, you're fueling their cause, you're not *WOKE* at all, you're a sheep, you follow the transcript they've written to the people. Be WOKE and be a parent. Stop blaming other. Sorry Shaq, but this song is horrible. I get the message they're trying to put out there, but the message is for weak minded people who can't think for themselves.
@@pamelaconnelly5357 It wasn't just the chorus that bothered me. It was the overall message that they are trying to say its the rappers fault for the entertainment they make. Im pretty sure the Government put parental advisory labels on explicit content movies, cds, games etc etc. And these kids are either not being watched or properly raised, and just as many other Americans, they are looking for someone else to blame so they have to take accountability for their lack of actions. Again, I understand its difficult being a parent, I myself am a parent of 4. Don't live in the nicest part of town. However, my internet content is blocked properly according to age. I don't let my children watch Rated-R movies. They don't use my cell phone for their homework, and though I can't control their friends and relationships at school, I can give them the best advice possible when I notice things that can be dangerous or inappropriate to them. I can explain my reasonings to them and why or why I do not choose for them to watch or listen to content. I will explain why they shouldn't hang out with other certain children and why it is that they can or can't go to other peoples houses. I keep a careful watch over them, and though I know I can't protect them from everything, I can do my best to make sure they are held accountable for their actions when they grow up, and im not going to *BLAME THE RAPPERS.* No. They will only have themselves to blame, and take accountability for their words and actions. See where they made their mistakes, learn from them, and get back up, fix the problem and hold their heads high because they did it and they fixed it. They're not going to be lazy and blame someone else for their problems. And for anyone who does blame others, you should be ashamed of yourself. Get it together and quit letting others dictate your life. If you make the wrong decision, that's on you. And these artists that keep making music like this, they should take a look in the mirror also. Quit giving these parents and children a way out of their problems. Its not your fault and you know it. They are to blame. If you're a prostitute, that's you're fault. If you like nodding out on the couch instead of partaking in a family dinner, that's your fault. And if you think that lifestyle is cool, you probably should have listened more in school, or to your parents or grandparents, aunts or uncles. You hypocritical bums.
Brandon Hall sorry it has taken me so long to reply (unexpected death in my family). I agree with your point to not blame music or whatever media source for choices people make. Absolutely parents are key - unfortunately we have many people that are not good parents. Forget the reasons( or excuses ) as to why people are not good parents - the reality is that a lot of children, teens and young adults lack parental role models. They will learn from what they see and hear because they (by no fault of their own) lack consistent parental figures. I am an elementary school teacher and can honestly say that less than 60% of my students (this might be a generous #) have decent support at home. I have 22 students. I myself grew up with good parenting but I still developed a self esteem problem when looking at models or actresses and feeling totally inadequate. I didn’t share those feelings with my parents or they would have tried to help me realize that I didn’t need to compare myself. However I didn’t run around blaming the industry. Even with kids Halloween and adult it is crazily seductive. WTF is wrong with an industry that puts out suggestive clothing for little girls and then idiot adults buy it!? What is wrong with people? Why do my 5 & 6 year old students know what GTA is? Or years earlier South Park? I have 5 years olds singing very inappropriate songs and all this goes to your point that it is the parents and yes it is!!! However why are drugs ( alcohol included) guns and sex so prevalent in many genres of music? Dang country music focuses on drinking and cheating and shooting your lover. Society glorifies drinking. You aren’t successful or happy or social if you are out having a drink with sexy men and women. So yes it absolutely begins at home with the parents but why punish the children that are not lucky enough to have a parent like you? I love many genres of music and I am older so I remember when rap was up and coming. Back then hard rock and heavy metal were the bad guys ( never country though with all its whiny beer drinking wife beating bull). We have lost family values too many people being careless and selfish having unprotected sex and having children that that can’t/won’t take care of and honestly probably don’t really want. Females lie about being on birth control guys complain that the condom doesn’t fit, men and women complain that it feels better without a condom. Their 20-40 minutes of selfishness can create actual human beings into this world that need to be loved and nurtured not exposed to GTA and lil Wayne or the batchelor or jersey shore
Idk while i like this song and appreciate its message i think it's a bit to biased on rappers. Don't blame everything on rappers. Tho message/theme/direction wise the song works

I was doing drugs way before it was cool get fucked gotem
This is the first song I haven’t heard Dax say : ITS DAX!

Need to do a reaction to "Amish Paradise" by Weird Al Yankovic. It's a parody of Gangster's paradise it's brilliant
Yo wtf I literally just heard that like an hour ago what are the odds lmao
Really? You guys are just now hearing about this ? I heard that when I was a kid lol came out in the late 90s I think

I respect you bro 👊
I didn't expect you to like Tom when I watched your first vid, I thought you were gonna say what everyone says about him, and I apologise for assuming that. You get the messages from his music and you know he's just spitting facts. Thanks for being real, I just started watching you like a week ago and I've been going thru your old stuff too, keep it up Shaq
Shaq, go to the comments and find what dax said about their shirts, I laughed my ass off XD
" y'all notice that Tom got his shirt off, and Dax got his shirt on?" 😂😂😂 Shaq be killing me
I literly just came drone watching that song for the 25 time today
Oh Shaq.... You never cease to amaze me! Your like, " Dax you got some splainin to do about those boots. Bro, I'm going to spend the rest of the video roasting those boots!"
You really are quite hilarious. I think you would make a great comedian.
I have not been to your channel for a while but I know you will say something that will make me laugh my ass off.
Ty FOR REAL!
Shaq, speak the truth bro. Dats tuff. I knew you'd get the message. Best reactions as always.
This is the only song that I'm glad has 7 chorus's 😂😂
Tom : Shirt off
Dax : Shirt on
Me : 🤨that's new
People..... please stop letting other think for you.
Brandon Hall the song is horrible. Many of Tom’s chorus’ suck including this one!
Happy Easter Coach!!!
Thank you my man everyone needs to listen to this timeless music and thank you for putting up and reviewing pure fire. Thank you Coach

The message was fucking terrible and skewed tho?
Idk while i like this song and appreciate its message i think it's a bit to biased on rappers. Don't blame everything on rappers. Tho message/theme/direction wise the song works

The only reason I listened to the song was because of dax Ian gon lie💯
DarealQtip yeah I don’t listen to Tom at all,but Dax was on it so I was curious
You should pray to whatever you believe in, that Tom and Dax do one more song together but this time it's Dax ft Tom on some fire beat. Tom goes crazy when he wants to go crazy. I know I am praying haha
If you don't believe me, check out "This House", "The Way I Am Remix" and "I'm Sorry" by Tom MacDonald as examples of what I mean. He's crazy good. Also I love "Hangman" by Tom, probably my favourite rap song of all time because of how it sounds, so raw and gritty and yet relatable to an extent for me.

Them boots were straight ... That song is what's needed to be heard by the masses .. cheers shaq
I have been posting to both Tom and Dax in hopes of getting a collaboration between the two for a couple of years now. I am real glad to see it finally happen. I really enjoy the message and hope its not a one time ordeal. Be great to see them do it again after this corona virus stuff and they can actually get into the same place for the video.
@Shaq I love how you break this song down. The reason I say that is because you know you also I’m sure you have a younger audience and if this helps just of them, you have done your job!!! #NoLifeShaqLifeCoach!!!
