I found one of these in the trash recently, complete with remote, 2 batteries and charger. Brought it home, charged the battery and it ran around the yard just as quick as it does in this video. Tires are dry rotted to the point where they’re almost falling off but I’m shopping for a new set now. I’m glad I’ll have something that’s way better than the Walmart junk that’s sold now.
I bought my Blackfoot in the mid 90s used and in running condition for $20. It sat in the basement for 21yrs and still runs today 2021. I've since bringing it out upgraded the shocks,rear hubs (alloy) mil ball diff and cvds . Will do wheelies now and goes about 40 mph . Love it !!!
It does look like the re-release grill or it's just flat, hard to tell because of resolution. Even after they show the mechanical speed controller and steering (at 2:55) the shot of the grill looks flat but in the shot of the number plate (at 3:01) the rectangle parts of the grill can be seen, albeit faintly. I'm thinking just bad resolution. 🤷♂️
I can still remember the smell of the resistor when I plugged in the battery.... My first true hobby grade R/C vehicle.... Good times

Man. this takes me back. This was my first hobby grade rc when I was a kid. Rc's sure have come a long way since then.

This was my first RC kit. Way way back in the late 80s.

Maybe it’s the lack of resolution and my small phone screen but the grill in this promo looks more like the re release grill than the vintage grill
