Hi Liesl, I have watched your video on inserting the sleeves but I am not clear on if you have sown the hem of the sleeves before attaching to the dress. I would like to see a video on how to cut out and attach sleeves from beginning to end. Can you help me. I am not clear on what to do next. Thank you again for your video.

As she was sewing the sleeve in, I wanted so much to move that darn jar she had at the left-hand side of the machine where the bodice was all bunched up against it, didn't you? 😊

OMG! I never even saw a jar. LOL! Had to watch again to see it.

What do you do if the sleeve is too small for the arm hole?

Here’s physics: without virtually the shorter fabric being stretched, its just not possible to sew a larger fabric to a shorter one without puckering. I’d really like to know how to do it with leather.

I have always hand stitch my two rows of basting stitch to put in the sleeve. I do not trust machine basting.

Watch UA-camr Joy Bernhardt's How to Crimp and Put in a Sleeve step-by-step tutorial too. Joy's shows a great, EZ technique called "crimping" where you put your finger behind the presser foot to ease the sleeve into the armhole. Easy peasy!!!!!!!

Thanks I did not know it was called crimping. Opened up a new world.
