Isn't it weird that Healey put a bunch of semi-auto rifles on her "hit list," but skipped the SCAR and the IWI Tavor? She also skipped a less well-known piston-driven 5.56 rifle called the Robinson XCR, and all three accept preban AR15 30 round mags. The laws in this state are so inconsistent.
Toby you should look at the juggernaut tactical switch for ar-15 , ar-10. It makes it fixed magazine while the action is broken making it non operational. When ready to fire. It replaces the rear takedown pin with a spring loaded switch and replaces magazine catch with a modified catch that locks the magazine while in the fire position. Making it a compliant rifle. Check it out. I see that not many people know about it around here.
That could be considered illegal. As the wording of the law states it can not be easily and readily converted to accept detachable magazines. The folks who wrote the laws here in MA and CT were a bit more educated than the people that wrong them in California.
I'm in MA, but none of these laws make sense anymore. Is the 9MM with Glock magazines also a fixed stock? I need to look at more of your videos, for sure. Also, do my prexisting ARs (bought/built probably about 10 years ago) now need fixed magazines?
Basically you have two years to reference for AR platform rifles. First is 1994. If the lower of the AR was manufactured before 94’ it’s considered “pre-ban”. The second date is 2016. If the AR was bought in Massachusetts after 1994, and before 2016 it is considered pre-Healy. Both are legal in Massachusetts. You do not have to fix the mags, but any high capacity mag have to be per-ban.
Yes technically it is not illegal for you to build most guns. You would not be able to sell it. Basically as a manufacturer we can fix a lower, scribe our name to it and register it then we can sell it. If you where to acquire a lower legitimately or manufacturer one from scratch you can build and register your build. Thats totally legal and legit. Just make sure the guns are still mass compliant.
@@CapeGunWorks . Sweet. I am in the process of accepting a job offer in Ma but I still want to be able to buy AR's. I am from MA but have lived in the South for a while. I am spoiled by the pro gun laws.

If it’s a pre-ban you can make any mods you want. If not a pre-ban you have to keep the changes massafied. You could change a stock but it would have to be pinned
@@JohnRoberts71 best thing is to bring it in to be gunsmith. You can change the length and re-pin, thing is gunsmith gives you paperwork proof of mods. Something with a pre-ban you would want to right? Paperwork to prove it is what it is.

IWI won a lawsuit against the state
And M14's, Mini 14's and 30's as well.

I think I saw Gary Brolsma in the reflection doing the numa dance.
Is the 16.5” barrel X95 MA compliant if it has a permanent barrel break installed?
Love them all!
A fixed mag AR is an aberration!!
I have a question: Can I build a SBR AR style rifle with an 11.5" barrel upper and detachable mag lower?
It's complicated. Obviously it would be an NFA item. If you already have an AR it is easy...
Since when can you have an adjustable stock in ma
fixed mag lower makes it not fall under the assault weapons ban. the adjustable stock thing only aplies to "assualt weapons"
Reaper Havoc or a adjustable pistol brace
is the franklin armory 17 rimfire a fixed mag set up and locked brace
So if an 80% lower is built with a fixed mag you can have the evil features? Can a pre ban mag be used? And, do you offer 80% blanks?
How much does that fixed mag AR go for?
I live in upstate New York and I’m trying to find a lower New York complaints if you could help me with information I truly appreciate it.
Not up on the NY laws. I can suggest a lawyer or the usscca
Wait... sub .22 calibers aren't assault weapons.... so Ak74s and CMMG46s are fair game???
The scar is Mass Compliant with someone who has their ltc?
Yup and in stock
So I can own that dark storm gun in mass ?
Yes fixed mag good to go with any modern ar feature you want, adjustable stock, flash hider etc.
