What does that mean
Turn rate is not latency. It's the number of turns per second. Latency is the round trip time. You can have a high turn rate with low latency or vice-versa. You can think of turn rate as sort of the logical frame rate (so many old games had 60 frames per second, but Starcraft has only 8-24). The game state can update 24 times per second, but your computer can still be 300 ms behind the host's. Or you can have just a 50 ms latency, but set the turn rate to 8.
Before remastered, the turn rate on LAN was 24 and on Battlenet was 8. On some servers you could also get turn rate 16. That was all you got, no matter what your latency was. However, you could manually increase the latency of the game to avoid hiccups due to bad connections. Now you can adjust both the turn rate and the latency to try to find a setting that works well over a weak connection.

I support Arty by watching these videos on youtube and keeping him relevant.
That does not mean i will not talk shit about his low skills and his attitude : )
I mean he will never be good at starcraft, he lived in denial for decades about this and now he has to face the reality that his life will end and his dream will be unfulfilled.
He will have so many mental breakdowns about this and the best thing i can do is watching it online because he will support his family by torturing himself playing starcraft.
I dont wish him harm or anything but his life choices led him to this point so i dont feel pity for him at all.

Not sure m8... he seems pretty happy to me. He has 4 kids and has made $ out of SC for a long time now. I seriously doubt his dream is to become a champion at this point. He already lived the dream living in Korea/casting ASL and GSL. Has made a ton of money by streaming too.
He might be a salty player but it's also part of the show. That keeps many viewers entertained, therefore the streaming business going.

Cutting the jokes aside, the Protoss Zealots are truly tough. They have way better stats for a 100 minerals investition than other units do.

he just needed to use scv to fight them in the first place, his marines were literally doing nothing in the first moments of the attack. thats why he lost so many scvs.
just with a little bit of better micro, the protoss was done.

There is very high latency. 8 turn rate. His commands are very delayed in the game so vultures take a hit everytime they try to kite.

Starting 4:05, it took him 20 mouse movements to bring 1 vulture, 1 scv and 1 marine..... That scv should be mining..... He even talks redundantly. All his focus are on APM and not big picture concept of countering.
Play it at half speed and his nervous energy turns to ridiculousness. His facial expression says he wants to quit, he doesn't enjoy his wins either.

Terran in lotv have a lot more options than in SC1. Idk why there'd be tears when they have the best economy in the game plus a good defense and decent offense.

So what exactly is he blaming here? The lag? That's part of the environment he's playing in. Does he expect people to play with lag while pretending not to have lag? If lag gives advantages to a certain opening, then expect it and counter it. If it's too OP, then just don't play on a server with high lag lol. So dumb to try to impose an imagined metagame from your head into real life and expect your opponent to respect your imaginary meta even though you guys never talked before the game lol. Arty is playing ladder but pretends he's playing a korean pro tournament because he can't distinguish what is reality.
