- Is using a reciprocating saw while pruning your fruit trees a good idea? I found some reciprocating saw (commonly referred to as a sawzall) blades on Amazon that were marked for tree pruning. There are several companies actually that sell these. I chose the EZARC brand in a five pack. I then used this in our orchard. I have apple, pear, plum, prune, peach, cherry and fig trees. I found this to be a quick easy way to make clean cuts. I have used a chainsaw on some bigger branches in the past. The chainsaw is difficult because it is bulky and hard to maneuver in the tree. It also does not make a clean cut. The reciprocating saw was much easier to manipulate in the tree while still giving plenty of power. I will definitely continue to use this in the future.
Good video!
Pruning with electric Saw Can kill the tree ?
Pruning with a saw is standard practice for larger limbs. With careful use I don’t see it as any more dangerous than a handsaw.
Thank you for your answer, l have Asked this question because I think using chain saw for pruning can hurt the fruit tree , but reciprocating Saw don't. So your trees are still alive I think . @@FlanaganHomestead
@@12374004 yes my trees are doing great. I agree that a chainsaw would would put more stress on a tree.
