My favorite character from all of the Pokémon games. I love all the Pokémon she used, I love her design, her backstory, etc. I wish we can see more of her in a new game someday
Always felt like she was the hardest battle in the entire game. Bruno was a joke, but most players had a Psychic on their team back then which would take care of Bruno’s & Agatha’s teams, & a water type which most would teach ice beam or blizzard which would take care of Lances teams. For Lorelei, you needed either a grass type, which were weak to her STAB Ice moves, or an electric type, which don’t resist her moves either. Her team is also really bulky, so most of them are not gonna die in one hot.
Second that. Pound for pound, her team feels the most well composed from the last few trainers. Apart from Blues Alakazam and his level lead, Id argue that Lorelei can be sometimes even more difficult than the champion.
She uses more then 2 different species at least. I always hated how they made a Hoenn Elite 4 member an Ice type specialist, since there are only 2 different species of ice types in Hoenn. They should have made a Sinnoh E4 member Ice type. They would of had the choice of Mamoswine, Weavile, Glaceon, Abomasnow, Froslass, as well as Glalie since it’s part of the Sinnoh dex. They should of had a Grass E4 member for Hoenn, they have choices of Cacturne, Ludicolo, Shiftry, Tropius, Roselia, Breloom, Sceptile (if you want to include starters) & Cradily, not to mention the other grass types in the Hoenn dex.
Her partner SHOULD be Jynx, but her partner is actually Lapras according to the dialogue from FireRed/LeafGreen: "The Lapras she has, I imagine it to be the one she met as a child. I believe it was in Icefall Cave that she caught it. Perhaps that Pokémon has been with her ever since."

For exemple in the previous video, It was Red that challenge her first and then Green challenge her in the rematch but now this is Leaf that challenge her first but Red that challenge her in the rematch. Isn't her signature Pokémon Lapras? Because it's high leveled, holds an item, lives in Four Island, and the LGPE artwork showing her with her Lapras. If only the Sevii Islands were part of the LGPE post games.
Can I just say that even though the red and blue sprites look better than the red and green ones they still look very weird like just look at exeggcute or the swimmer trainer sprite and slowbro looks like it’s trying to eat the shelder on its tail.
Gen 3 is the hardest Gen 1 has exploitable glitchy mechanics If your pokemon is grass poison, the opponent will try to poison because "grass is weak to poison" and the game doesn't care about if the attacks cause damage, Lance Dragonite will only spam agility and barrier against a poison type
Those who call gen 1 the hardest…did you forget that AI trainers just use level up moves in their movepool, resulting in some truly atrocious combinations?
