Taylor Sheridan, the only man in "Hollywood" that appreciates us people of rural America; Oklahoma born Appalachian raised from 6 months old to today at 39. I appreciate his tip of the hat to families like mine that have fought & bled, sometimes died in every war from the Revolutionary War to Nam. We have held the same 55 acres in the Smoky Mts for over 200 years when you were considered poor for owning less than a couple hundred acres in those Mts. We have had no great men according to society in my family, but they have all married women they love, been a father to their sons, taught Biblical truths to them, and attempted to live by them. They have all lived not simple, but honest lives, & all but a great uncle & my worldly miserable rich brother abstained from alcoholism. It is a rare thing to see rural people portrayed in a fairly positive/little country guy vs gov/big business, people who expect their Bill of Rights to be respected or will make their Rights be respected.
Your great-uncle and your rich brother are the only ones that could afford alcohol. I get that. Some people Moonshine. But found best not to talk about it. Oh... Alcohol and alcoholism aren't the same thing.
LIONESS written, directed by Taylor Sheridan is the absolute blueprint of how a military series should be made. Dialogue alone was killer and will have you shaking your head how did they get this so accurate. Twists, turns, emotional turmoil you feel it all...
I just binge watched 1883 and 1923. My opinion? OMG! OMG! OMG! How is it I didn't know about these two wonderful, epic, heart-moving series? Truly two of the best stories I've ever watched, on par with Lonesome Dove. The writing, the dialogue, the landscapes, the acting, were all superlative. Congrats and thank-you, Mr. Sheridan!

i consider Taylor Sheridan as one of the best writers we have at the moment. But Joe really missed a good opportunity to explore this mans head, instead we got superficial commentary by joe on contemporary politics
I have only one question. HOW DOES HE DO THAT??? How can he make all of those awesome show at the same time? For people to understand, he has FIVE tv shows that came out and still going to this year: Tulsa King S02, Mayor of Kingstown S03, Special Ops: Lioness S02, Yellowstone S05(part 2, so it's probably been filmed a while ago, but still), and turn out there is another one called Landman that coming *out in two days.* That's just insane!
In short Sheridan is a master of 2 genres. The cowboy story/western (current or period) Yellowstone/1923/1883/Tulsa/Bass Reeves & Special forces/espionage/police... Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness, SICARIO. All are well written with drama & amazing characters
I’m an MD in South Africa. When I worked in the TB hospital we relied on N95 respirator masks to protect us from the multi drug resistant strains of TB we have here. We had to wear them for 18-24 hours a day. If you removed it (to eat, drink, go to the loo) you needed to wear gloves to do so, quickly place it in a biohazard bin, wash your hands afterwards replace it with a new one. There is no way I would have worked in a TB laden environment without one. Same thing goes for practices in theatre when operating.

Nutria is year round hunting in LA and I've seen videos of people cooking and eating them and say it's good, but the majority of people just discard them.
I’d like to make a point about the vegan discussion. The point that veganism kills lots of animals is true. But the tillage required to grow food for the animals that meat eaters then eat, is more impactful, that just eating the plant food that grows. If you eat meat, animals die from tillage, then livestock dies when you eat it. That’s twice (if not more) the impact on animals and the environment. That’s not an attack, it’s just a fact.
