I really appreciate how you actually pointed out this situation as a therian and furry,Also you had a slight misconception about thierans and I don't see anyone else correcting it. So yes some therians can have a spiritual connection or believe they were an animal in a past life,but they can also have a connection on a phycological level,and there are other ways besides quads they can connect to their theriotypes. I was pretty much bullied out of the fandom when I was younger. But I'm kinda glad I was. Here's my story about my time in the furry fandom, and my discoveries. When I was around 8 years old I found out about furries, I really found them interesting and I thought I didn't know how to become one, but I made my own costumes and such. Turns out for a lot of that time I was actually a furry and thought I couldn't achieve it as if it was some title you earned. But I made drawings and all that fun innocent stuff. I never knew about the dark side of the fandom until I was like 10. I was disgusted a bit, but I figured I could just avoid the bad stuff and I'd be fine. But eventually the not so safe stuff was shoved in my face, and then from there I soon fell into an addiction of you know what. It took a toll on my mental state, and then came the bullies. I've received threats of all sorts, it was never as bad as it got today though. Back then people were a little more laid back, but I've noticed over time the furry fandom has gone downhill being full of degenerate things. I understand that not all furries are the same, when I was one I didn't actually wanna be an animal, and I wasn't attracted to animals, I actually didn't really like actual animals at the time either, I just really liked fantasy creatures like werewolves. I still got some of the blood in me, but I don't really tell anybody about it, I'll always like anthro creatures. XD But yeah I don't associate myself with furries anymore because of their reputation to society, even if their view isn't open minded to understanding they are humans with unique things about them too. I'll add this point here, all humans in the world have their own views and problems, and every society has rotten apples. Doesn't matter what you are a part of, there's going to be good people in it, and there's going to be some really messed up and bad people in it, and when it comes down to everything, if you're gonna hate people for being furries you should probably hate people for being people, because in general on this planet there's a lot of rotten apples no matter who they are or what they associate with. When it comes to thinking of majorities however, I've noticed that within the furry fandom there is a pretty big amount of rotten apples. Despite this everyone needs to be treated with the same amount of respect, and when the rotten apples are found out, deal with them accordingly through the law, if no laws were broken, they're ok, if the law was broken, jail time. My mind gets boggled with how people can even be so rude to each other just for having a costume or interest, I almost wonder if the same people who judge furries also say it's what's on the inside that counts, it would almost be hard to believe, and they'd contradict themselves for judging one furry because another furry did something bad. My opinion on therians: I never found out about them until recently, in all honesty I know I'll sound rude, but they all look... ill somehow.. I mean it's interesting and almost cute, but yeah... I don't have enough research on them to know their true associations and intentions, but I know they are people too and need respect. With what you said in this video however, feeling spiritually connected to an animal is a little silly, if it's a kid being that way, ok that's fine, it'd just a phase that should go away over time, kinda like how I wanted to grow up to be a shark when I was little. XD But if it's someone who is old enough to know they can't turn into an animal being a therian I'd be concerned. I acknowledge I am in no position to judge anybody, if you're offended by what I had to say, good, we need freedom of speech and expression. If you can't tell anybody how you feel in society you will become a boiling pot of water with the lid welded on, just waiting to explode. Just as a famous man once said, "In order to think you have to risk being offensive..." I have some shocking facts about me when I was in the fandom, but I don't know if UA-cam would let me say it without deleting my comment. XD One last thing! I want everyone to know that Jesus loves you, no matter who you are, a furry, a furry hater, whoever, you are loved by the Father above. May you find salvation through the wondrous work of Jesus Christ on the cross through His death, burial and resurrection. Honestly people that say that crap need to get help, im a furry and I don't receive death threats that often but when I do it hits me hard, ADULTS sending DEATH THREATS to MINORS is just crazy to me. I have a suicidal friend that almost killed himself because of the hate. Something else I noticed with the hate is people using religion to hate which makes me super annoyed. Im glad someone has finally said something about the hate
If someone uses religion to send you hate, they are very much wrong to do so, after all, Jesus is love, and if someone uses Jesus to put hate on you, they are a hypocrite and a liar. This doesn't mean they need to support you in anything, but even if they disagree with you, they should not express hate, but love and concern. I am a Baptist, and I have had friends of multiple origins whom people I've known would not be friends with, I've been friends with a satanist, I didn't participate in her sinful activities nor celebrate who she was, but I showed her that she is cared for despite her difference in views. I've also been friends with a trans person, he was a very nice guy, just because I disagreed with him and don't like how he rejects the identity God gave him, I still showed him he is loved very much.
as a furry and therian, thank you for talking about this. once i was wearing my dinomask around my neighborhood and a middle aged man was yelling at me and saying "why are you wearing that? its weird. you should take it off" and once i was hanging out by a tree with my sis and i had a sign with me that said "looking for furry and therian friends." some family walking their dog came up to us and the parents started telling us that we're "too young and beautiful for that" and they kept saying "please be joking" it was scary and i started crying. they didnt even feel bad.

It's so fucking insane that these people ACTUALLY SAY THIS. By leaving d*ath threaths you may actually aid in k*lling someone. I don't think they understand that some of these people may actually be s*icidal and could genuinely decide to take their life. How can you decide to take that risk? The risk of helping with someone's m*rder.
A couple years ago, I had a furry tiktok account that got quite popular, and the number of death threats I got was wild. I had been on the internet for a while at that point, so I knew I'd get those comments and was mentally prepared for it, even replying to them with witty comebacks. It astonishes me that people really don't have anything better to do with their lives, especially adults, like c'mon, get your sh*t together.
