Visiting a THEME PARK in SOUTH AFRICA! | Gold Reef City Vlog 4K

- For the first time, I travel to South Africa to one of the biggest theme parks in the country: Gold Reef City! Home to the World's most intense roller coaster: Tower of Terror. As well as this, I ride some of the parks (and Africa's) best roller coasters such as 'The Golden Loop' and 'Anaconda'. I even have one of the craziest moments I've ever had at a theme park where the ride operators pulled a Final Destination style prank- claiming the roller coaster had broken mid ride!

Omg i was there and i saww you omg i went on all the rides and im only 12 i was actually a resident at the gold reef city theme park and i came from durban for a holiday

I used to live in South Africa, but in Cape Town unfortunately. I used to go to Ratanga Junction in the city, but it no longer exists there now. I've always wanted to go to Gold Reef City since I was a child. I'm already jealous that you're there.

I remember visiting this park when I went to South Africa a few years ago, was lucky to catch most if not all of the rides walk on, including Anaconda, where I got multiple rides and had a great day. Hope you had a great day at this unique theme park.

Oh yeah. I've only visited Gold Reef City once, but I remember Jozi Express being a real rattler. You also have to cling onto the supports on the turns, it always feels like you're going to fall sideways and drop out of the coaster.
That incident on Golden loop, not gonna lie that would’ve scared the hell out of me! Even when you know how coasters operate, would never expect anything like that from the operators. I guess if you’re used to the culture it wouldn’t be so bad. I can see the funny side, but it’s also kinda crappy that they scared those kids into not riding.
Imagine if that happened at thorpe 🤣 people would be pissed

Having only gone to Gold Reef, I thought that's the sound of a roller coaster 🤣🤣🤣
The reason giovanola denied making tower of terror was due to its trouble history, this ride once pulled 6.3 G’s, it has since been reduced to 4
Great vlog to be honest I never new that they had a theme park some rare coasters as well.
All the rides at gold reef city is my favorite but my most favorite is the anaconda ride and my most fear is the tower of terror
i would just like to say you are very lucky to get on the runaway train it is usually closed or testing most of the time
Please stay in South Africa and go back to Gold Reef City on the 12th of February on Saturday or Sunday😅😅😅

Hey Jack after watching your pleasure beach vlog i noticed this video upload and you just reminded me of gold reef city, i must say that tower of terror coaster looks pretty intimidating, was you apprehensive over it or was you like let me on this coaster, anyway great vlog and can't wait to see what your next vlog will be
I have been to this theme park 5 times
From the looks of the tower of terror I would guess Bolliger & Mabillard were the manufacturer because the design is similar to baron 1898 at efteling in the Netherlands but that is just a guess

Calling it a Gold Rush is a bit of an understatement seeing as 33% of all gold ever mined was mined in the Johannesburg area
I live in SA and have been to gold reef many times and to be many more and this game me ALOT of deja vu!

This was my home park since I used to live in south africa I would spend most of my school holidays here aswell. Now living in the uk alton towers is my new home park I hope you enjoyed the g force on the tower of terror 📈📈📈
