they are polished and a top 1 gig for me. but they are tracked 100% and enhanced by the live sounds they produce. Personally I think Vessel and II are the only ones actually doing anything live.
@@shabblabbat I sometimes get the feeling vessel is miming, the effort he looks to be putting into some of the lines isn't matched by what is being heard. He's over the top for what actually comes out. Don't get me wrong, he can definitely sing, but he's got a backing track or something for sure.
@ yes, even the cry is recorded. They have a 10/10 show, but I agree screams and a lot of the track is the same show after show. But I’ll pay anything to go again, it’s so good.
I can guarantee they play (at least most from what I was able to see and hear) their songs live. I was in Berlin and had seats so close to the stage that I was able to get acoustic sound from the drums and the mix made it pretty easy to single out the vocals and bass, albeit it sounded a bit shit from a listening perspective. Vessel III uploads his GoPro footage with view of the fretboard from time to time too.
Vocals where just fantastic all night. It did look amazing when the crowd all started turning their torches for the song, unprompted by the band as well.
It was a fantastic show. The effects and performance was up another level from the previous times i'd seen them. Although i do miss the smaller shows where you can get closer.
@@clagadymuf Glasgow seats were really heavily banked. If the London show is less of an incline the light stand should be less of an issue for you. Saying that was worth putting up with limited stage view for the great side view of Vessel strutting back and forward on his runway!
I was there! I was hospitalised after buying my ticket and was worried I wouldn’t have the fortitude to make it, but I did, and it was incredible! Thank you for the upload. It's wonderful being able to relive the experience ❤
@@TheBloodTheSteveTheBeers Yeah - my wife and neice are both about 5' so the view standing wouldn' t have been great. However, the light show from a distance was awesome! and the sound was excellent!
@@largeformatlandscape lol that was my problem. I’m 6”2 so I’m ok anywhere but misses is 5ft, just, hence we went for the seats this time! (Look at my profile pic 😀)
The sound engineer for this concert should get a bonus / raise. The sound was pure amazing! That's not even covering Sleep Token's impecable performance.
@DaveBeattie1 I totally agree. The lighting effects were just brilliant, real shame that didn't come out on the video. Was just too dark and too far out for the phone 😞
@@EDMBROSOFFICAL I thankfully missed the traffic on way out, well the car traffic anyway, just had to deal with the people traffic to get out of the place! I'd read online that the car park was usually horrendous, so I followed online advice and parked at the premier inn. 5 min max walk over bridge to there, or the science centre next to it. Cheaper parking and was out of car park in seconds!
That's usually how a setlist works. Most bands play the same songs in the same order for each tour with the only variation coming either in a cover they plan to do or sometimes in the song they close with. So it's not just opening with the same song....the entire setlist is more or less the same show after show for this tour. And yes, there are many musicians who get sick to death of their most popular songs that they have to play at every show at some point. I think Stevie Nicks is the only exception that I can remember. She is adamant that she loves her songs no matter how many years she's had to play them at every show. Lmao
I got a free ticket to this show, didn't know much about Sleep Token. The lead singer has an amazing voice. But the show was honestly so boring and their music is awful. Felt ripped off even though I didn't pay for the ticket XD
Not your cup of tea is totally valid, and understandable. IMO, this is the best band to come out in the last 15 yrs that I’ve heard. Totally original, innovative, sonically a masterpiece, and one of the few bands that understands the use of tempo and dynamics. To each their own. Cheers 🍻
@smoothgooseasmr4022 Absolutely fair! I sorta seen them as a relationship break up band. Can't imagine when I'd want to listen to them otherwise haha. Someone who I met there who took his daughter to see them described them as Adele for people who are afraid of aggressive metal which made me chuckle 🤣
You should have listened to them in advance and saved a wasted evening. No way I'd go and see a band that I could find out I didn't like in advance! What if they'd been a 70s country and western band (although maybe you'd have liked that)
@@largeformatlandscape Not my first time doing that haha. Got the ticket for free so was happy to just rock up and check it out. I knew bare minimum what they looked like with a cheeky Google so if they had been a country Western band I'd definitely have been shocked 🤣. Though tbh with all the masks and gear I definitely did not expect them to sing the type of music they performed. I can definitely see why so many people like them and why so many don't like them. Can't take away the fact the boys voice is quite magical though!
