I was saying weeks ago, this team is no longer the same team from beginning of the year and aint no one walking into San Antonio for an easy win. Doesn't matter who is on the court, the team plays super hard now, makes less mistakes, knows to play to Wemby, and comes in clutch. This is a whole other beast teams are dealing with now
Big facts
“Victor is Victor. He did a lot of good things. But it couldn’t have happened without everyone else.” And there you have it. Coaching Legend.
MAMUUU A BEAST GAME SAVING BLOCK AT THE END NOT TALKED ABOUT BRING THAT MAN BACK WERE GONNA BE A PROBLEM
Mamu is a beast!
MAMU and WEMBY PF/C connection is there!
I need more of that and hopefully they bring him back next season.
I noticed that too. And so did my neighbors when I was yelling it at my tv!
Yep
I feel like Wemby and Mamu have better chemistry than Wemby and Sochan. Probably because Mamu is a better shooter and is low key a good passer. I hope they sign him up again for next season at least.
Freaking Go Spurs Go
All the love for you from OKC and T-Wolves fans 😊
Gotta love pop
love to hear from Pop that he has to have a real conversation about Mamu. Really hope to seem him more with VW. They have quite a connexion !!!!!!!!!!
Let's get a boom over the reporters so we can hear the questions clearly.
Victor might be my favorite player to watch, but Mamu is my favorite player to root for. I get hyped up so much more when he does something then when Wemby. Go MAMU!!!!
If Mamu doesn't sign a 4-5 year deal days after the season is over I do no know what we are doing. He's our best kept secret (also he did this last year to Denver too)
Take Matas Buzelis in the draft
4-5 is too much. I think 2 years is better. Kinda like the Tre Jones deal.
Love this team
Diehard lakers fan and former (Spurs)Duncan era fan because hes from my hometown of Saint Croix but i will always want the Spurs to do well, unless yall play us of course lol..always resepct for Pop and the Spurs organization for the culture they built 👌🏾
best of luck to LA
@@AlexR0w same here bro. Wemby is the future and people will keep hating the greater he gets 👌🏾
Spurs will have a better record than lakers next year
GoSpursGo 💪🏽🏀
Gotta keep Sandro and Devonte, man. They play well with Wemby.
I really like Devonte, but you do realize that he earns basically the same as Wemby and only behind Keldon?
If you could pay him 2-3mil instead of the 12mil he currently gets, then I would say yes, keep him. But 12 million for an almost end of the bench player, that doesn't make much sense, he takes WAY to much cap space for what he brings.
And on that same note, they HAVE to get rid of Keldon Johnson, 20mil to come off the bench and give 16/5/3 with zero defense is horrible.
But regarding Sando, it's not even a question, I don't think you can find a better fit for Wemby for even double what they pay him.
I agreed
devonte has been always clutch, he doesnt care if he fail or he get all the blames he will take shots. if he is as tall as devin he can have vassells spot. vassell dont have the clutch genes and always shy. if game is on the line id rather pass to devonte than vassell
The team wants to force certain players when mamu and graham play well with wemby and are obviously ready to win now, they think they have these visions and can see certain things, then they ignore certain players who deserve to play, it makes me lack trust in the FO to make good decisions especially since they are probably gonna let mamu and graham leave, they don’t even play them. It’s BS. Meanwhile we pay unproven guys $30M a year it’s just wild. I think these last 10-15 games really makes the spurs have to have some honest conversations on if they want to win or not cause if they want to win, there are certain guys who should be playing more. If they want to continue developing what might be but might not be, then they will let mamu and graham go and keep playing the younger guys who may or may not end up being that good. I hear so called basketball guys saying mamu can’t defend, the last ten games disproves that, plus his offensive skills and arsenal are a big upgrade over our other options, and he plays well with wemby.
@@elirane85i guess it just depends who the replacement options are. Bigger concerns are how much zach and vassell are gonna make next year alongside keldon. Graham is pretty good, the coaches wouldn’t let you know cause he’s been on the bench all season. He’s the type of player that plays well with Wemby. He might be slightly overpaid but our team lacks what he brings
MamuKaveli For 3! He helped keep us in there early.
Champagnie (Cham God) deserve some shine. He got that DOG in him!
Yes
We know what players need to be cut "players that don't play well with Wemba" and which ones needing extensions, overall I feel like this bad season sets up the Cinderella story next year! I'm hypeee!
Wemby great performance but 7TO -11 ±. If this summer he will fix this issue next season gonna be a bad night for anyone that is not a Spurs fan. Go Spurs Go.
That sometimes don't tell whole story, but I agree to many TO he will get there as game slows down for him. But if he doesn't have that 17 out 19 pts stretch in 3rd we don't comeback.
I love Wemby but if not for his talents he would be benched a lot by Pop because of his unforced turnovers. He's still just a rookie though so I'm sure the game will slow down for him soon.
Coach po please always use devonte is a great player go spurs go nxt season
MAMU VICTOR PLEASE
...why is 37 minutes alt if minutes for wemby...when pop played rookie Duncan 39mpg
I don't know, but my guessis wemby is more susceptible to getting hurt with more minutes
Wemby is the only person built like Wemby on earth, they’re going to be extra cautious
Would not mind if the Spurs do the nice thing and pick up Devonte's non guaranteed 12 million deal for next year cause he's such a nice vet to have and you can use that money as a trade chip, and I would love for him to get a contract he wouldn't get anywhere else
I would hate being a GM. I really really like Devonte, but you do realize he's the 3rd highest payed player in the team with an almost identical salary as Wemby who's in 2nd?
So don't think about his salary subjectively, ask yourself if you think he has the same value as a player like Wemby, and unfortunately we both know the answer to that :(
P.S, If I was the GM, other then Wemby, Vassell, Jones, Mamu, Sidy, Barlow and maybe maybe Sochan.
I would try and trade everyone else: Devonte, Collins, Osman, Branham, Champagnie, Bassey, Wesley, and especially Keldon Johnson, all gone. And I really like most of them, both as people and as players, but they don't fit if the Spurs want to actually compete for a championship.
@@elirane85 Well first off we're lucky you aren't a GM. You named some great players that will be here for a while. Second, yeah but like I said the Spurs might want to keep Devonte higher salary for salary matching, so that way you don't have to trade Keldon if you're bring in someone with a big deal. Also next year Zach and Devin and Wemby get paid more. So that makes Devonte the 5th earner
@@blablablaa14 First of all, can we both at least agree that Keldon needs to go?
Second, you're right about the numbers, I didn't look into next year, and Wemby doesn't really go up by much, but god damn, Vassel is moving to a whole different tax bracket. Good for him, he fully deserve it.
But actually, looking at next year, I'm even more sure that they need to get rid of Collins.
Just for comparison, for what Zach will make next year, you can get Malik Beasley or KCP, and if you insist on a center, Luke Kornet is basically free in comparison. And that's just from the free agents list, I'm too lazy to theorize about trades :)
And I didn't say that any of those players are not good players, some of them even great. I just said, that in my opinion, non of them either justify his salary or don't fit playing around Wemby.
I wonder which players you disagree about?
@@elirane85 No I love Keldon. He's the leader of the team and we need scoring in the second unit which is disastrous offensively. Keldon is the leader of this squad even if he's not the best player. He accepts his role and is willing to come off the bench. He also is on one of the best team friend deals and makes less money next year and the year after and will resign for another team friendly deal. You can't be a shortsighted "Lets give up on everybody and trade everyone". That's not how you build a dynasty and that's not how the Spurs operate. The core is the core, and yeah we might trade someone, but that's only if a really great player becomes available, and not an All Star guy, but a guy who can play a role. A Derrick White, a Trey Murphy, a MPJ. Otherwise we will build from within and develop this team, which is already showing its going to be better next year
@@blablablaa14 It's not about being shortsighted. I'm not saying we should trade everyone to get a super team so we can win tomorrow. I don't think you can say that Malik Beasley or KCP are superstars, but they are way better rule players then both Keldon or Collins (even though they are not centers). And if we can get Derrick White, Trey Murphy, or MPJ I'm all in.
And specifically about Keldon, it's not just his contract, in fact, even if he was making 0$ I would want to get rid of him.
Everything good you said about him has nothing to do with basketball. You are coming from a place of emotion and not rational. When you watch the game, when it comes to his basketball, he is literarily the anti-spur. Every time he gets the ball I immediately know that he is going to run head first into the basket no matter how many defenders are in his way and how difficult/impossible that is. He is a black hole that swallows every ball he gets and he disrupts the flow of our offense. Not to mention there is ZERO game between him and Wemby, when they are on the court together it almost looks antagonistic and that they play against each other.
I say don’t trade anyone for a season. Only trade the players with attitude problems behind the scenes or maybe health concerns. Let’s see what they do disciplined
YES YES YES
Mamu is the secret sauce. Dump Zach. Promote mamu
Spurs just cost Jokic his 3rd mvp. Change my mind
He was either going to win it or not regardless of this game. For those who didn’t want to vote for him, the second half of this game would only be an excuse.
Nobody needs Jokic in San Antonio, they already have a much better Wemby, real talk💯💯💯
Rotation player better and also better used devonte graham is better
WASHED UP.
dud, your team is last in the west
denver with full starters got beaten by wemby devonte and underrated players. imagine that?
We get that critical thinking is a bit too complex for someone like you.
Celebrating a losing season lol
Idc still trade the whole roster everyone can get traded they all suck besides Wemby
Finally now we know why you aren't a GM in the NBA.
trade then develop team chemistry with new roster again next year? then cry again for not having wins? LOL
WEMBYWAGON!!!
Completely disgraceful Nuggets loss to a trash team. Nuggets coaches and players should be completely ashamed of themselves. Number one seed in their own control and come out with an absolutely laughably bad performance where they gave no effort at all and were arrogant. Jokic was a joke. Completely passive and took only 13 shots when his team mates didn't even show up. Nuggets have only had two chances including this year for a #1 seed and they through it sway v a bottom dweller. Terrible inexplicable loss.
