Sound is brilliant when you consider the cost. Quick question, how do you find it watching movies, biggest gripe with my current budget soundbar with sub (connected by optical cable) is the speech is always drowned out by the sound effects or soundtrack, constantly changing volume to adjust. Do the R1855's do a decent job with speech? If so, I'm keen to buy these to replace my soundbar.
Hello Bro, I am from India Is it working fine with subout wire? I mean edifier1855db plus T5 subwoofer. I had edifier 1855db but I am confused which sub woofer I buy? Can I go with T5 or Yamaha S050? Please advise.
@@rahuljha4292 Hello, yes, the subwoofer socket works fine, if possible, I would recommend buying a Yamaha NS-SW100. And T5 works well for 1855 but Yamaha NS-SW100 would be better!
I too have the same setup. But the T5 performs really bad when connected to the sub out of R1855db. Even when the sub level is 100% still the sub cannot produce enough bass as expected. So I connected the audio source to T5 and gave a passthrough from T5 to R1855db and the T5 performs best like this. Have you faced the same issue?? If you have the same issue then how did you tackle it? I too want to use my T5 with sub out from R1855db but I cannot find any other option rather than this method. If you can help me out, it would be great. Thanks in advance.
Hello, I didn’t have such a problem, but to get more bass, I connected the speakers and subwoofer separately to the computer’s audio card and set the subwoofer volume higher than the speaker volume, but it didn’t work with the TV, I had to connect the subwoofer to the speakers. And with this connection there was enough bass.
Eu n ligo pra muita potência no grave, só quero que alcance as frequências com qualidade, se as duas caixas já fizerem isso então eu não preciso de um subwofer.
With medium frequencies, everything is fine, a little high frequencies are missing, my room is 40 square meters, so I don’t have enough volume, they are small for 40, and T5 complements the low frequencies. If you put speakers in a small room then everything is fine.
I am confused between thease speaker and passive speaker i love to watch movies so my question is that these speaker full fill my home theatre experience Beacuse for passive speaker had to buy AVR first out of my budget So i thing to go with these active edifier 1855db what should I do
Hi IYB, i have some question for you. I have R1855db and a T5 subwoofer, i conected the T5 from sub out port on the R1855db, they sound great but if i turn off the R1855db by remot (not on/off switch) the sub making loud thump noise, is it normal? If its not how to fix it? Thank u
Sub sounds boomy. Have you compared with logitech Z623 ever? I have logitech Z623 but was thinking to upgrade with Edifier T5 but not sure if that will be better than logitech Z623 or not!
Hi, no, I did not have a logitech Z623, for the Edifier R1855 will go. The bass is soft, but I don't think it's better than on the logitech Z623. I do not advise to change it.
I used to owned a Z623 before i sell it, overall balance and almost like the original sound is edifier. Dont get me wrong both are great set of speakers and sub, but the edi is definitely superior in sound quality. Z623 with its punchy and more boosted bass sound like it gets distorted easier
If you are using them on a desktop, then you might wanna avoid bt because it will low the signal to noise ratio and cause a hiss from the speakers. The hiss is quiet but its better without using bt.

@@GOLFADDICT65 For movies, the 2850+T5 is very good! If you compare the s3000Pro and s2000MKIII, the s3000Pro produces more bass. If without a subwoofer, then speech is clearly audible, with a subwoofer, speech is muffled by bass.
@@IYBoori Thanks for that, so the bass from the R1855DB's are decent for movies without sub? Did you get the sub to boost bass for music?

Você sabe dizer se o subwofer alcança frequências mais baixas que essas duas caixas, ou ele apenas tem mais potência nos graves ?
