Sadly I feel like these kind of hippies are a disconnected capitalistic mockery of what the hippie movement actually is. And I don't exclude myself from that, its so hard not to consume for the "hippie aesthetic", because it is truly beautiful.
Hannah, you have one of the most amazing smiles on You Tube! You talk about the late 60's. I was born in 66. My sister is one of those people born on 2/29/68. My brother was born in 69. You have great taste and you look awesome 😎! Love you!
Can u explain then why its mostly your generation thats constantly against human rights and is trying to stop gun laws? Or u gonna suddenly be real quiet about that one. 😒 Seems like most of you "youngsters" back then played hippy dress up for the drugs and then after a few years dropped the love for "world peace" when it came to women and minorities.
I would love to wear these outfits but i need money first lol but i think i've seen videos that there's some cute stuff like this at thrift stores but i'm inlove
“Hippie” clothes come from Romani culture. As long as you understand the history of where this is, it has now been used as a fashion trend from South-Asian cultures. Appropriating is is what’s important in knowing the history.
i am of romani heritage on my father’s side. i know much about the culture and i’ve educated myself on our history. i have many books in my library about romani culture & heritage, as well as read many articles from roma.
@@HannahDrapinski Thank you for expressing this. Far too many who are not Romani will only wear it for fashion. My Romani family are in Romania, we are the Boyash clan and I am in Canada. I got stripped away with the system and reunited with my family after 26 years. It is an emotional journey to rediscover my biological roots.
Me years ago : i hate skirts! Im never gonna wear them Me now, who just bought a new boho long skirt yesterdqy: it might seem crazy what im bout to say..
