I own a 6.0 so I’m biased. But the Chevy still has a good sound.
Little Matthew made the right choice! Nothing beats the smooth and elegant sound of an LBZ duramax when it's revving up, and spooling up that rds 9 blade is just an other worldly combo

I'm a Cummins guy, I love the raw tractor diesel sound. Between the two reds though that RDS turbo on the Dmax sounds awesome!

Powerstroke in my opinion has always had a lower more guttural sound which I love. On the other hand in my opinion the 9 blade RDS in that duramax is insane with the whistle which if you're on a back road in the country even miles away it makes ya look around to see what it is. Duramx also has the best well balanced sound which is part reason why I own one. For a cummins well it's not even comparable really kind of a league in its own. In my opinion Duramax, Powerstroke and Cummins all have there own distinct sounds that I love altogether for different reasons. Great video as always. Can't wait to get my 9 blade in my LML! Its a beautiful thing to see ya bring your son on the channel and share a moment that he will remeber forever!

Both sound amazing. Hard choice as i like the sound of a powerstroke at an idle but the chevy gets my nod
They all sound good sir. If you haven’t already, get your hands on a deleted 6.7 Powerstroke. They are beasts!
Tips on a turn down make a big difference. I take my tip off for long distance towing because it is much quieter
“5 inch exhaust system”. Love it haha. Duramax for the win for sho master of all trucks 🎉

6.0’s sound like someone taking a crap into a megaphone. Duramax’s sound like a pissed off cat. It’s personal preference really lol.
My cousin’s brother’s sister’s uncle’s buddy put a homemade 920 mm 3 blade turbo on a Cummins. When it spools up, it sounds like a 36” shop fan. 🤔

I'm a 6.0 guy, so I have to say the ford sounds better. But that LBZ is sick sounding with the 9 blade, and the duramax is smoother. the international motors were always more raw sounding.

I agree. the duramaxx sounds better even without the 9 blade. but the 9 blade definitely seals the deal. at least for me. dont get me wrong the 6.0 sounds good too but not as good as a duramaxx.

I agree. I think 7.3 has unique sound and with the right exhaust and turbo they sound mean
@@daviderickson6933 no worries man. If I had thought it through before posting, it wouldn’t have made more sense. When I read it back, I thought to myself, yeah, that’s not clear at all.
I have a lbz have had a few and 6.0s but everyone knows the 6.0 sounds the best . But damn if they aren’t problematic. *edited . Now that I think about it a juiced up 6.7 Cummins with a g56 probably is the best sounding diesel.
In stock form, the Fords sound better IMO. With these combinations, I vote for the Duramax.

Paint the dang fender flares satin black bud!!!! It will kick off the match of your mirror insert, winch bumper and anything else matte black. I think(not to brag--just be honest) I have pretty good truck taste, I probably had fifteen or twenty '67-'72 Chevy/GMC 4x4's restored when you were run'in around with a turd in your diaper trying to say "Duramax" as your first words to your folks.
