hey, great video. I've been flying on grayflag a bit. Whats all that radio chatter in the background? It sounds different than the normal in-game radio chatter And did you say voice attack isn't allowed on Hoggit?
The radio chatter is actually from a program which I use called Vaicom Pro. It's a plugin for Voice Attack which lets me use my voice to interact with the sim. Vaicom is contextual and has more "intelligence" to it than plain old Voice Attack which just translates voice commands to key presses. Vaicom is contextual. Anyway, you may already know what Vaicom Pro is so I'll get to the specifics of your question. One option in Vaicom Pro is something called "chatter" which will add in background radio communications to your headset which adds a little to the realism. It's also aircraft specific. (carrier aircraft get carrier type traffic while land based get something else). I like it and use it all the time. I try to dial it back a little in the video as it can be distracting to viewers when I am talking. But in the game, I do hear all of that chatter and it's pretty cool in my opinion. It feels less isolated and more alive. I'll also be putting out another GrayFlag video today. Was some bombing fun up near Jirah with along with some air combat. (spoiler.. doesn't go well for me in the end) :P As for Voice Attack.. It IS allowed on Hoggit. What is not allowed is Vaicom Pro. It violates the Pure Script setting. It looks like the main thing which violates this is the interactive kneeboard. The great thing with the interactive kneeboard is that it records all of the stuff which the AI tells you. Stuff like information from the carrier for base recovery course or for CASE III recovery details as well as JTAC information. So the JTAC can spew a bunch of information and it gets written into the interactive kneeboard which you can then pull up and refer to. There's apparently a way to overcome the pure script issue with Vaicom Pro but it involves setting a file to read only which kills the interactive kneeboard. I have actually stopped using the interactive kneeboard and switched to Open Kneeboard which has the same functionality so this wouldn't be a problem for me. I wonder if Open Kneeboard would suffer from this read only file setting as well. I'll have to test it out. Anyway, thanks for the kind note!
Hmm, well I think this is primarily an issue with my CPU. My video card is fine but my CPU is from 2018 so it's starting to have issues with the level of detail being pushed through my VR headset. I've dropped some of the settings already but I could probably bring it down more to smooth things out. Syria as a map is hard on systems in multiplayer and sitting on the super carrier deck with a bunch of parked aircraft plus players taxiing and the rainy weather impacts systems even more. I'm upgrading my system in the 1st quarter of 2023 once AMD releases their new X3D CPUs. Thank you for the compliment. I'm still working on dialing in the audio better as I know at times I'm competing with the AWACS calls, RWR, and background chatter on the radio. Funny part is that it sounds great on my local copy but then gets some odd volume levels when it's imported and converted on UA-cam.
I usually enjoy your videos however with this one the volume of the AWACS (and other AI radio chatter) was way to loud so I could barely hear what you were saying. To the point I stopped watching half way
Thank you for the honest feedback! I definitely need to dial that stuff back a bit more! This was an unusual video in that I added commentary in after and the recording was really low for some reason. I’ll. Do better next time! I hate when people post videos like that and here I am doing it (again as I made this mistake before).

Why did you have bad framerate on the carrier? Great video btw.
