Your first video ever popped up and after watching I couldn't stop! At my time of subscription, I noticed you hadn't uploaded in 4 months. I'm extremely happy to hear you are doing well. Hey Rob! I really like the idea of you being on a piece of land and building up from there! It would be great content to watch you survive off the land and create shelters and eventually build a cabin. You could get some chickens and maybe some cows! That would be a great way to keep making videos!
I’m a new viewer, I found you in December. I’ve almost watched all your videos.
One thing I notice and like about you is your sensitivity to beauty and nature. You pause mid stride to show off a patch of beautiful blue flowers , a beautiful view, you listen to birdsongs, you appreciate the beauty of an old and historic quaint town! You get excited as hell to spot a cougar. Not everyone is like this. You have the heart of an artist.
Do you paint, draw, write poetry, make sculpture? Your videos are art. They are quiet, peaceful and full of beauty. I like how often they start up with just nature views and sounds. After a while you start talking and then you sign off but the videos keep going. They linger on clouds or trees or rivers. Just natural sounds and sights.
Do u consider yourself an artist? I consider you an artist.
Do you pray? I believe in God and the Bible changed my life once I began to read it for myself. I hope that someday you learn to love and appreciate the Bible.
Anyhow, I think that only PART of your you tube success is the storyline. The homeless hiker thing. That IS a very interesting story line but the real reason, I believe, that your videos are taking off is just YOU.
There are so so many UA-camrs out there doing FASCINATING things but they aren’t likable. In order for people to want to watch, we have to like them. People like you. That may make you uncomfortable but that doesn’t change the fact that people like you. I hope you can become comfortable with that because it’s a gift. Not everyone has that. You’ve been given that.

Rob, I'm an old lady in Canada and I just started watching your videos. I think you are a brave and resourceful man. I also share your love of the woods. (Up here we call it "the Bush.") I wish was rich so I could provide real help. All I can do is tell you that your videos are great and that I will be praying that you get a place of your own soon. I'm from Los Angeles and i was homeless for about 3 years, i had a tent. Every day was a struggle and some nights I didn't eat. Im not homeless anymore but i understand the struggle.
Hi Rob. I want to say that you are an inspiration to people. There are many who have thought at least once in their life to leave life behind and disappear into the wilderness. You showed us what that means. Dont give up on people, we want to see how your life goes on, at least narrated by you from time to time. God bless you

I found this channel two days ago searching for survival tips online, specifically ones pertaining to actually being homeless which may be frustratingly relevant soon. I resonate with a lot of the perspectives you've shared on life in your videos and understand having the persistence to just keep going even if your own brain tells you to stop and take the easy way out. And how sometimes you grow to love the familiarity of the mess you're in even when you know you could be and should be doing better.
Just wanted to say this made me really happy to see. Congratulations, man, and I hope for nothing but the best moving forward.

I believe a lot of people are just now truly feeling how you felt when you were homeless, living in a tent, in the woods!! No job, getting food and necessities at a food bank, etc. Looking back to your first few videos, you have definitely come a long way, and even though, you still have anxiety, you have kept going!! Sometimes there are things that we want, or hope for, but they’re still so far out of our reach, and we struggle with the question: When is it gonna’ happen? How long do I have to wait?!! That’s when I remember these words from the Bible: Psalm 27:14 ESV - “Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!” 👍🏻

I live in Syracuse, I know the area where you had your encampment. I wish I could have helped you, I had no vehicle or resources so I prayed others would have the means and many did. I found your original story engaging and it doesn't matter what format you do now (homeless, sharing the wild, or just being yourself). Dude, one of your videos just came up in my feed and I watched it and instantly liked and subscribed. You have a genuine vibe that's relatable and comes across as honest. Stick to what makes you happy, if it videos and outdoor living, position yourself to do so. Just don't force anything out for the sake of it and you'll just keep killing it.

I think I speak for many when I say we have come to love you Rob. We share in your stress and your struggles, which in many ways are very similar to ours. We certainly don’t wanna add to it, so please just relax about making videos and post only what you can, when you can! It’s those open heart talks you have in front of thousands of eyes that watch you on UA-cam, that touch our own hearts the most. Let that vulnerability, honesty and truth continue to be your badge.. it’s the path that eventually leads us to find our way back home.. (Christ Himself is our true home 🙏☦️). Rob, I just started watching your videos. I'm an outdoor guy as well (hiked the AT 2 years in a row) and I know how being in nature helps us all but, keep moving forward, brother! The snowy countryside is spectacular.
First watched you in 2022, you were in a tent in NY state somewhere, overnight in a snow storm. From there, followed you as you walked the Appalachian Trail down to Harper's Ferry. I don't know, man, but I think the appeal of what you do is in showing us the last remaining vestiges of liberty and freedom in America. Too many families today can't afford the old 1980s-90s way of life; rent, utilities, car payment, insurance, groceries, etc. You're out there on the trail, free from it all. Yeah, I hear you on the struggles, nothing is easy. Keep doing it and God bless.

Heck, try making a youtube shorts series where you vlog your life and tell stories about what being homeless was like or where you give tips and tricks you picked up from your time being homeless, that way you can just crank a vid out when you get free minute instead of having to sit out and take time to plot out and record long form content. Your honesty is encouraging. Changes are stressful. In the long run they can make you or break you. Just know many are praying for you. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. We all fall down and make mistakes. Just keep getting back up.

I've been there, was a long time ago. But I hitchhiked from n.y to California back down to Florida ended up staying in Tennessee a few years, then back to n.y cause I missed my family ended up getting a job, been working pretty steady over 25 years now, own my house fully,car is about paid off with 27000 miles on it,but ya know, the road calls me still every day, it's really hard not to just go and be free.
Great full for your videos, some times I get in a funk and just wanna go, but your videos kinda keep me grounded, I can travel with you on you tube from the comfort of my home, get cold drinks from the fridge,power my devices,just by plugging in,get in my car and go wherever I want in short time, take showers all day if I want to, build stuff in my garage?.......basically I have a good life now,but it doesn't ever stop the wanderlust.
