- In this video I will be reviewing Shine Armor Fortify Quick Coat Water less Wash. Shine Armor Claims this is "The Ultimate Ceramic Coating Formula" as the bottle states. This product was a big disappointment to me as you will see in the video. All though I did not like the product I will not bash a company for a bad product just to get views.
Thank you Shine Armor for sending this product to me to try I really do appreciate it.

I watched 5 reviews on this product before watching yours. After watching those reviews, I still had so many questions. You were the first one that actually did a proper review and looked at the right criteria. This is an excellent review. Very reliable. Thank you.
Struja R I appreciate that! I always wonder why others have said it was so good. You are welcome!
Yet he did not wash his car properly thts why this product did not work
Just some random guy This is a waterless wash not a detail spray. The product is meant to be used to clean lightly dirty cars and leave protection behind. It cleaned it but didn’t leave much protection behind. The car wasn’t very dirty and I ha e used other products like this on even dirtier cars with no problem.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing i get that, but how can u expect spray to caught on a paint when there is a dirt on it of course it's not going to work. Just saying . It doesn't make sense, but all good man
Someone please tell me the best ceramic wax like this shine armor to buy the ? I would like to order something soon, thank you
FINALLY!!! An honest review of this product. THANK YOU!!
Karelle You are welcome!
Just saw this advertised on TV. Wife was all excited and wanted me to try it. So I ran across your review and it convinced me this is not the way to go. Thank you for helping save my time and money. Excellent review.
Same for me. Just saw commercial & began to type all my info. I searched for it & saw this. Didnt even complete my order lol
That's why I love you. You're honest about any product. Also one of the reasons I started following you a year or so ago maybe longer. See you Saturday buddy.
Honesty is the best policy! I appreciate your support brother. See ya Saturday!
I came across this video looking for an honest review on the product. I am a DIY Detailer. I have been doing it for 40 years for all my vehicles and I appreciate your approach and demo. I now subscribe to your channel. Keep up the good work.
Thank you and welcome to the FAB Family!
Thank you for showing your integrity. Thank you for your honesty and sincere input! Semper Fi
Mr. Robert Mercado You are welcome and thank you for your service! 🇺🇸
They must spend all their money on advertising and not product development, their ads are everywhere!
I know and that’s why I was excited to try it. Big let down for sure!
And every single reviewer gets it free to review it. I don’t believe half the reviews out there.
joe smoe It’s unfortunate that people will lie for a company.
joe smoe I believe FAB, Apex, Forensic, waxmode and maybe a couple others for an honest review. I’ve heard all these guy call a product junk.
Well some common sense here. 😂 Theres nothing put on by spraying on wet/damp surface etc that would work.
Nearly got some of this from all the ads it has, cheers for the help 👍
speedy chris You are welcome!
Lubricity is so important in a waterless wash! Thanks for a good honest review!
Yes it is very important. You are welcome!
thank u for a TRUE honest review!! i said that a professional detail could see the difference byween that and a quality product!! i dont like to talk bad about a product but they seemed to really push on the advertisement and pay people to do reviews!! u gained a new sub!! and wow i havebeen using griots for years!! but ur garage looks like the catalog!! 👍👍
limoman 412 You are welcome! I don’t like talking bad about products either but sometimes this happens. Yeah I’m a big Griot’s user but I do use other products. Thank you and welcome to the FAB Family
Being dirty it’s still clean to what I’m use to haha great video man thanks for the product review!
It’s dirty in my world! 😂 Thank you and you are welcome!
Yep, thank you for your honest review. I too almost bought it and am glad I did not now. Much appreciated!!
Juanita Van de weerd You are welcome! Thanks for taking the time to watch.
I went through 3 reviews. Yours was legit.
When I first saw this ad on TV I thought this was complete bull. Thanks for proving it.
·XxChilGamerxX · Thank you and you are welcome!
Lmao
FAB Automotive Detailing what would you suggest that is similar but actually works well?
Nathan Daniels I like Adam’s Polishes Ceramic Waterless Wash and Turtle Wax 3 and 1 Ceramic Waterless wash.
Set the hood on fire an hour after applying that's the true test
Was actually in the process of searching for the companies website to make a purchase when I came across this video and decided to take a look. Sure glad I did, saved me $20!
Jennifer Higginbotham Thanks for checking the video out!
Wow, i watched about 4 reviews before this and ended up buying the product now that i've opened it and have it next to me this came up on my recommendations. I have to say i love the thorough review of it, wished i saw this sooner.
Glacian Yeah Thank you!
I’ve been detailing my cars, trucks, and Harley’s for years! I appreciate your excellent review!
Hemi Vic You are welcome!
FAB Automotive Detailing...I noticed on your shelf in the background that you use Amsoil Synthetic Oil. That’s all I’ve been using since 2004.
Hemi Vic I have been using it for the last 5 years and will never go back to regular oil.
I tried to buy this off of the TV ad back in March, after 6 weeks I called and cancel the order. Without much investigation on my part, I settled for Griot's 3-in-1 Ceramic Wax. Wow! It is spectacular after just one coat. I had not paid attention to car waxes and such since about 2009. Wow, what a gap of improved chemistry I've missed out on! The second time was charm.
And now graphine is becoming the new latest and greatest supplement to car finishes. Amazing times we live in.
Thanks for the honest review. That product is pretty disappointing actually. I'm glad I watched this since it perked an interest since there was so much ads. I wax my truck and try and find a really product and I knew this product was too good to be true. Thank you again!
Dan Yang You are welcome! It was very disappointing because I had high hopes for it.
Just started seeing these ads on facebook, and I'm really glad I saw this video.
Great video. Really appreciate the honesty. You rock.
Tracy Ouellett Thank you!
You just got yourself a new subscriber. Thank you for the honest review.
As the saying goes, if it's too good it be true, it usually is
Thank you and you are welcome! I have found that to be true with most of these products that advertise heavily on social media.
I was bombarded with ads about this product and feeling guilty of not giving it a try, now I know why. Thanks
Eddie Melo I was the same way and was excited when they sent it to me. You are welcome
Hey, thanks for doing this. I have been using this product along with their hydrophobic carnauba spray. It actually worked pretty well on my car surface (black paint). There is a substantial difference in before and after. Its a lot smoother and hydrophobic after the spray application. I wash and dry my car thoroughly, spray the carnauba coating first and then this ceramic coating. I agree with you that it lasts only between the washes but for $20 I have spray coated my car for ~10-12 times which isn't that bad..
Lol , it's the carunuba doing all the heavy lifting bud 😂
@@jackd1582 Not always, more recently I have used just the Ceramic Coating and it still gives me an excellent smooth and hydrophobic surface but like I mentioned it stays on only between the washes.
Wow just found a bottle chucked on the sidewalk, now I know why? Thank you for this informative video.
Good review. But honestly I've used a lot of waxes and paint coatings and the shine armor in my honest opinion was the best. It was one of the slickest and definitely had the deepest shine. But I always wash my vehicles first bcuz they are usually really dirty. So I suppose it would be a better detailer product. I was honestly really really impressed with the shine over the competitors. So it isn't a complete waste of money, the price was decent, so each to their own I guess....
Yeah I always use it on a clean car and get complements from the shine
Finally a true review... Thank you 🙏
Gamer girls Kk Mm 24 You are welcome!
I appreciate the honest review. I had used Shine Armor on my Black Lincoln sedan and thought it was just ok. A bit on the streaky side. Took some extra buffing out. I had washed the car before using it. Then one day my wife wanted a layer of SA on her Black Charger R/T. Began working on it and I don't know WTF happened. Was streaking really bad. It was a hot day but the car was not in direct sunlight. Didn't notice the streaks at first until I started progressing around the hood. Certain angles looked ok but other angles looked bad. It was not buffing out well. I was starting to freak out! Took me an hour to fix it. Will not buy that product again. I switched to Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating. Worked very well and it wasn't expensive. I ended up throwing out the rest of the Shine Armor. Very disappointed.
You are welcome! Yeah I don’t see what people like about this product. Your experience is the same as others that have commented about it.
This stuff attracks a lot of debris during the application. If you gently feel the finished area with your hands you will feel the rough areas where the dust dri.ed into the finish
Thanks for this review. Almost bought it.
FlyingTreg You are welcome!
Their customer service won’t answer calls or emails
I did buy this product 😔😔😔
Great honest review. Thank you Sir
Thank you and you are welcome!
That was interesting. I just used Adams Ceramic Waterless Wash to remove some light dust and dirt on my Silverado and it worked great but I had an SiO2 base to begin with. Now it's so shiny I am blinding my fellow motorists :)
I just used Adam’s Ceramic Waterless also and loved it. I also made a video comparing durability of the two. Bet you can guess who wins! 😂
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing Ya, the Adams one is legit... impressed with the results.
not sure if they changed the directions since i purchased it but my bottle doesnt tell me to dampen the towel
Just bought it... should have watched this before. Thank you for your honest review.
Sebastien Place You are welcome!
Thank you for an honest review!!!
Great and honest review but could you please name and leave a link if possible on the ones you do recommend? I'm sure everyone here would appreciate that
Was going to buy some of this stuff but thanks to your review I didn’t .what would you recommend
thank you for this review and for me saving my money
Rohan de Moore You are welcome!
I subscribed to you because of this video. It’s unfortunate that you don’t have more subscribers. Great video and looks like there is no short cut products to getting the right results.👍
Nathan Dickinson Thank you! Yeah the companies that advertise heavily on social media like this one seem to be junk products.
Thanks man. I was gonna buy this but u saved me some money. Thx man. Thumbs up
Thanks for the review . i was about to buy it. lucky i saw ur video. thanks for sharing
dave berj You are welcome!
bought one bottle on Prime day. Tried it, and I did notice a real difference on my glass. It made the glass look clearer. I am constantly fighting water spots on the glass, and polishing them out, and this made the glass look like new. As for the paint, I didn't noticed any difference, but I had waxed it a week before. I would continue to use this on my glass. Especially if I was trading the car in, it would make the glass look appear better than it is.
Good on you for not lying ive seen shone armour come up in alot of ads saying its amazing but as soon as am actual detailer like yourself uses it its nothing but a problem. Ive seen alot of reviews saying its absolute garbage so im not even gonns bother
I will definitely never lie for anyone. It is a joke of a product that’s for sure.
Thank you for your honesty. I am so happy I watched this video before purchasing the product
You are welcome
Thnx man...you re honest and know what your talking about
Off The Break Paintball You are welcome!
Thanks for being honest!👍👍
Thanks for your honest review I'll definitely return the one I just bought of amazon
Morteza Ahmadi You are welcome!
A friend of mine gave me a bottle of this in return for applying it to his new BRZ, it seemed to go on fine, I didn’t get a chance to see it in action on that car. So today I spent 4 hours polishing my car, with several passes of multiple speeds on an orbital buffer before applying this stuff, which is what you’d want to do before applying something like this anyways. After applying a healthy amount of it on the car (NOT spraying it directly on the panel, the bottle says to soak it into an applicator pad) it was probably an hour before the car saw moisture. Mud from my back alley came off so willingly off the rocker panel. So basically it worked as well as I’d expect, and I’m optimistic about how it’ll hold up. If it shows signs of giving out, I’ll just polish again then wax.
Hey, honest question. I saw two reviews and both did not wet the first microfiber before spraying shine armor on it. You are the only one who wet the first microfiber. I wonder what it meant on the instructions by “moist microfiber”. Could it just meant moist as in microfiber with the shine armor on it instead of moist with water? FYI I already bought shine armor and I’m trying to watch instrument on how to apply. Thanks in advance.
vvlight The instructions say to “spray onto a damp towel and onto panel”. My take on that is if they are asking you to spray onto a damp towel the towel has to be dampened with water other wise it would say dampen towel with product. I hope this helps and you are welcome
I’m in Australia and ordered this after being swayed by the ads - arrived today - I wish I had seen this review before I bought it
How’d it go?
Liked shared and subscribed already. Thanks for the honest review!
Thank you and you are welcome!
Hi and thanks so much for the review. I am looking for a product to get rid of very stubborn water marks on paint and glass windows. Do you have any suggestions? Cheers!
Ben Sheargold You are welcome! Water spots will have to be removed by correcting the paint with a polisher.
Appreciate your honest review. Going to visit your Amazon page.
No problem I appreciate you watching. Thanks
thanks for the info I am changing my mind I almost was going to buy this
Danny You are welcome!
thanks for your honest review mate what waterless wash and waxs do you reccomend
Lightning lashX You are welcome! I really like Adam’s Waterless Wash and their Ceramic Waterless Wash. Turtle Wax has a new 3n1 Detailer/Waterless Wash that is really good also.
thanks a lot for the review.so what product will you recommend that will do the job right??? because i bought this ultimate ceramic coating and is going back to amazon tomorrow.thanks again.
Rene Ruiz I really like Adam’s Polishes Ceramic Waterless Wash or the new Turtle Wax 3 in 1 Detailer/Waterless Wash.
I just had this advertised to me on Facebook and was considering buying along with the F11 and Torque Detail
All of those advertise heavily but I haven’t seen any real good videos showing they work.
Yes those kind of spray sio2 r junk compare DPC sheild I did my car and it works great now u do have to keep it up over 12 months with DPC armor.
I have heard DPC Shield is good but haven’t tried it!
Thanks for the honest review. They need to send this back to the Chemist .
Time to reformulate. Take care .
I’m surprised a company would let this hit the shelves .
You are welcome! They need to do something different. As much as they advertise on social media you would think it would be an excellent product. I’m just trying to figure out how they have so many good reviews on social media about how great the product worked on peoples cars.
FAB Automotive Detailing Maybe they are manufactured (fake) reviews . Who knows . Sooner or later, bad products will always catch up to you.
Have a great night .
On amazon, its still their best seller. Home depot has them in the clearance section for $10.
I think this one it´s a honest review, thanks for your time, the vid was great!
MOTOR X You are welcome and thanks for watching
If I used Shine Armor before on my car can I use TLC2 (The Last Shine 2) over the Shine Armor or do I need to remove all of the Shine Armor???
I wash my vehicle and dry it off completely then go over it with the shine armor, seems to really improve the shine in my opinion.
Thank God I saw your video, I was about to order three bottles lol
Jean Agosto I’m glad you saw it also!
Lmfao... i already bought a couple. Oh well 🤣
Thanks for the review I was just about to buy this product but I won’t do now.
Is there a product you can recommend?
I just want something to spray on to my car after I wash it to offer protection and beading.
Thanks for your review, I was going to buy this product,NOT NOW!!!!!
Bob. C. You are welcome!
Thanks for testing it. I almost bought it.
Ricardo Tapanes You are welcome!
Thanks so much for the honest and good review. Not goring but it. I “was” thinks about it
You are welcome!
I was think about getting shine armor but after seeing your video I’ve decided to stick with my old fashion turtle wax. It’s never let me down.
greg p You can’t go wrong with the tried and true products!
Could you maybe do another video on this product and see if it performs better after a cure time?
Sam Eichers I did make another video of it vs Adam’s Waterless Wash and it didn’t perform well in that one either.
Subscribed from the North Island of New Zealand ~ 👍😎👍
Thankyou for the review ~ I should have watched this before ordering Shine Armour online ~ The price in New Zealand Dollars for 3 x Bottles and 4 × Microfibre Towels was $94:33 NZD 👎
Live and learn !!!✌
Meguiar's next time maybe !!!???
Definitely would have been cheaper as Meguiar's products are available in auto stores here !!!
AJ
Thanks and welcome to the FAB Family!
Great video. There have been various confrontations between reviewers and the owners of shine armor. They don’t seem to conduct public issues professionally.
Thanks! That doesn’t surprise me. They sent me an email and said thanks for your honesty but please do not release the video.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing haha no way. I'm glad you posted this video I was so excited when I saw their ad's but then I started to think they were spending way to much on advertising. Specifically testimonials but the ads don't really show the product working which is a red flag for me. They seemed to have very high production value. So again thank you for the honest review they only thing I would of like added to this video is a list of products you would recommend instead.
After watching this video I immediately subscribed and liked which is something I very rarely ever do.
Matthew Watts You are welcome and thank you for subscribing!
Brilliant truthful review.. Keep it up
Thanks!
HAHAHA! That's definitely a FLOP! I would of thought it would of been better than this but it can't even handle the abuse from water! Great 100% honest review brother!
Yes it was a flop! Oh well you never know until you try it. Thanks you brother!
Hi, What's your best advice to clean and shine a truck that's been sitting for 2 years uncovered(1992 Ford F-150 Flairside)? The paint looks to be in great shape. It just has layers of dirt and pollen and I'm afraid to mess up the finish. Thanks!
okay. so 2 things I noticed... now i am FAR from an expert, but i hope you revisit this product. first thing, when it says damp microfiber towel, it means damp with the actual product. Not with Water. Water dilutes it further thus decreasing its effectiveness. Second thing, this needs a 24hr curing time. I put about 5-7 coats on my 1994 corvette at this point and ive washed it numerous times and it still beads! The cure time and proper damp towel make all the difference!
John fedele I appreciate you commenting! The bottle says Apply to a clean damp microfiber towel. For it to be clean and damp before applying it would have to be damp with water. The bottle states no cure time at all. I get what you are saying but I base my reviews off directions on bottles. I to thought it needed to cure for 24 hrs but it says it no where on the bottle.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing makes sense! Perhaps the manufacturer should change their directions haha take care
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I think John is right in what he's saying. I don't think you were supposed to spray that Armor onto your wet/damp towel. Most of the demo that I have seen, people just spray that armor stuff on their "dry" towel to make it damp before wiping it down. What do you think? Redo?
Hanzelnuts I did it exactly how the directions state to do it. It’s says to “spray it onto a damp towel” In order for the towel to be damp before applying the product it would have to be damp with water.
That product as shown in the video is junk. It's just snake oil the company is trying to cash in on the detail craze right now.
I am writing to you from Denmark. I had high expectations for this product and if it could also remove small scratches on door handles, then this fabric would be a revolution. Bought this through TEMU so it was very cheap and good for it as it's no better than regular Turdelwax. So much rather wash cars with soap and water and then use Sonax car wax. Thanks for a good and honest video.
Thank you for the comment! TurtleWax is way better than they used to be but I understand what you are saying.
Thanks a million for being honest in reviewing this product. I will not buy it, will look for something else.
Marcin Wlodarczyk You are welcome!
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing what's a better suggestion for a product .. my cars are a charcoal grey and has some light scratches and needs a good product.
Yah is Love If it has light scratches the paint needs a correction with a polisher. Waterless washes just clean the surface and some leave protection behind. There are some good all in one Polishes that can be done by hand and a re actually affective at removing minor scratches. Turtle Wax Ceramic Polish and Wax is really good for that.
Good review, almost bought it. Tks
George Doughty You are welcome!
He's absolutely correct I tried it for the first time yesterday, and was not impressed. That's what made me come seeking answers and I'm definitely not purchasing again
BlueMagic Customz Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks, very helpful - you saved me money
What waterless wash or detailer would you recommend and a 6month old paint job ? To make it look good and add a protectant coat
OBS Powerstroke Griot’s Garage Ceramic 3 in 1 Wax.
thanks for the review.I still love turtle wax spray wax 🤙🤙
What spray would you recommend for water beading and protection coat? Looking at the Megiar's stuff or the graphene infused spray from turtle .
Ethos Car Care DEFY, Griots Garage Ceramic 3in1 and yes Turtle Wax Graphene is good
I used shine armor today on my 300s, i buffed/wiped it longer in a buffing motion till almost dry, then switched to my dry microfiber cloth and wiped/buffed until all was removed, I could tell a big difference, it passed the bottle test, but I didn’t try the water test, I’m going to do a second coat tomorrow and saturate the area more than what I did today, but all in all I haft to say that it worked better than I thought it would after seeing this video, just my opinion but I believe with the second coat of saturating the area more that I’ll have good results, I’ll check back in and give me opinion
Johnny Wadd Yes please let me know how it works for you! It does clean well it just wasn’t durable for me.
I have a 2010 Red Candy Metallic Mustang...What would u suggest (other than payin upwards of 2k) to give me that wet shine of cermaic but a product that is easy to apply, where she'll look FABULOUS and EVEN I CANT SCREW UP??
Thank you for saving me money and time.I wanted to try it on my 29 street rod but not after I saw your video.
Larry Sorey You are welcome!
Thanks brother. Saved me a lot of money incl. shipping $41.
You are welcome!
Thanks brother!!!! I'm sick of these bastards taking our damn money!! Who want some fabreez wax?????? SMDH
what's your favorite purchase product in a spray bottle that you use for your car ? I want to buy one for my car.
Wish I would have seen this review earlier. Just got this delivered and it’s crap! What is the best waterless option you’d reccomend?
I should also add, applying in the evening the product wipes off easier and smoother. Try not to get it wet. If it gets wet just let it dry on its own, do not use a towel to dry it.
Ive tried that last coat and it last for a week then it faded. I also tried the Hydrosilex it was worst than the TLC. Just saying.
I have not tried either of those products but this one isn’t worth trying either. Thanks for the info!
can you please do a review on those ebay ceramic coatings that come in little blue bottles.
thanks
Saw this product at Home Depot glad I didn’t get it. Turtle wax ceramic line up still working wonders for my vehicles.
Good stuff! I have gotten much better results with Meguiar's HCW.
Thanks! Yeah the results were terrible. HCW is a great product and cost less.
I noticed it says "doesn't streak" but even though I love the product, I have found that it does leave streaks especially on dark colors! My "charcoal grey pearl metallic" Lincoln Town Car does tend to streak! Sometimes I have to use several towels and a lot of elbow grease to get the streaks off completely! I've even used my orbital polisher in trying to remove the streaks! So it can be somewhat labor intensive! You really gotta look at the finish from all angles to make sure you got all the streaks off!
I just purchased and now wondering should I use it or send it back? My car already has a ceramic coating. Can you still use this product as a maintenance?
I wouldn’t use it because it’s not worth the time and effort to apply.
Honest review! Thanks.
Murphy S. Thank you and you are welcome!
Great videos mate 👍
Lock Up Thank you!
Integrity. There is no substitute. I now trust you. Thx
Edit: Can you point me in the right direction? The Last Coat Premium Car Polish?
Thanks for your honest opinion. Since Shine Armor was not that great, what product would you recommend?
H.D. I like Adam’s Polishes Ceramic Waterless Wash. Griots Ceramic 3 and 1 is fantastic but it’s not a waterless wash just a protectant.
